I HAVE TO HAVE ME SOME FLESH!!!

Luke 24:41-43  And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”  They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he took it and ate it in their presence.

Also Christ in keeping the Passover had to have eaten lamb and or goat. The Passover to Israel was A Holy Day commemorating the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt; it was a commanded assembly, that was mandatory.

So we have confirmed Christ ate meat, the bible does point that out, He ate fish, the Passover Lamb and maybe goat. But as Children of God, we must ask ourselves is eating animal flesh necessary for our physical mental and spiritual survival.

For In the beginning God gave our first parents Adam and Eve all the food necessary for a total Physical, Mental, and spiritual lifestyle, a lifestyle that would never cease to bring vitality and endurance to, the perfect anatomy that He had created in the likeness of Himself.

It was contradictory to His plan at creation to have the life of any creature taken. There was to be no death, or disease, in Eden. The fruit of the trees in the garden was all the nourishment required for man’s needs.

In creating man’s food on the third day when He said and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself after His kind: and God saw that it was good. The Lord showed what the best diet for his well-being was.

Only after the flood did God give man permission to eat animal food. Those individuals, who lived before the flood after man sinned, ate animal food to gratify their sinful lusts, and this continued until their cup of iniquity was full with God.

And He “repented that He had made man on the earth and it grieved Him at His heart. After the flood God permitted man to continue to eat animal food to shorten their sinful lives. Soon after the flood, mankind began to rapidly decrease in size, and in length of years.

It was never Gods will that we should gratify our appetites, by the killing of animals as a means of survival. If we are to be a peculiar people in God’s sight, we must exercise temperance in all things.

Health reform and the elimination of eating animals must be one of our main  priorities if we are to finish this Journey and endure to the end, as we finish this race in preparation to live throughout eternity with our Lord and Savior.

1 Peter 2:11 tells us “Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul.” Thus warfare is forever in battle between our propensities toward the lust of the flesh,

imperiled by the indulgence of appetites that is unsanctioned by heaven, and what Gods originally plan for our well being was intended for us from the beginning in the Garden of Eden. And If we would always focus on Paul’s words in

Romans 12:1,2 “I Beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world:

but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what that is good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Flesh was never the best food; but its use is now doubly objectionable, since disease in Animals is so rapidly increasing.

Christian today feel that they cannot get along without flesh foods; but if they would place themselves on the Lord’s side, forever walking in the way of His guidance, they would receive strength and wisdom as did Daniel and his fellow companions, in refusing to eat the king’s meat.

Many Christians would be surprised to see how much more healthy they would be by the self-denial of animal foods as they keep their eyes stayed on the transforming power of Christ. My friends ask yourself today.

As A Child of God how do I prepare for Eternity,  Because Eden will be restored. For John tells us in Revelation 22:1-3 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city.

On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.

My friends all I ask of you today is to FOCUS on what preparation we as Gods Children  must make ^“For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come.” We as Christians are all, now being tested, and tried in preparation for the final stretch to the finish line, as we look forward to receiving that ultimate prize, Gods pure and holy kingdom. All of us as Christian have been baptized into Christ abiding love and grace. And if we would act our part as Gods Children, by separating from everything that would diminish our health in the sight of God, and gain strength as we grow in Christ who is the foundation, and center, of our mind and body

LET’S TALK ABOUT HEAVEN!!!

The Daily Climb. I have always talked about getting to God’s pure and holy kingdom. The FAITH, FOCUS, LOVE, HUMILITY, AND ENDURANCE, each of us must develop within our character while maintaining a heartfelt prayer life, as we study God’s word daily while seeking  His Spirit. I have tried to give you and myself insight, and directions as we move closer into the final day’s of this life’s history. But I have never talked about once the JOURNEY IS OVER. And we can finally be at peace. And say I made it, the journey was rough but I ENDURED.

Well let’s take a journey with Ms. White today “As we stand…..and all in solemn silence gazed on the cloud above as it draws nearer and becomes lighter, glorious, and still more glorious, till it is a great white cloud.

The bottom appeared like fire; a rainbow is over the cloud, while around it are ten thousand angels, singing a most lovely song; and upon it sits the Son of man. His hair white, and curly and lays on His shoulders; and upon His head are many crowns.

His feet has the appearance of fire; in His right hand is a sharp sickle; in His left, a silver trumpet….Jesus speaks: “Those who have clean hands and pure hearts shall be able to stand; My grace is sufficient for you.”

At this our faces light up, and joy fills our hearts. And the angels strike a note higher and sing again, while the clouds draw  nearer to the earth. “Then Jesus silver trumpet sounds, as He descends on the cloud, wrapped in flames of fire.

He gazes on the graves of the sleeping saints, then raises His eyes and hands to heaven, and cries, “Awake! awake! awake! ye that sleep in the dust, arise.” Then there is a mighty earthquake. The graves are open, and the dead come up clothed with immortality.

The Redeemed shout, “Alleluia!” as we recognized our friends who had been torn from us by death, and in the same moment we are changed and caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air.

“We all enter the clouds together, and seven days ascend to the sea of glass, then Jesus brings the crowns, and with His own right hand placed them on our heads. He gave us harps of gold and palms of victory.

Here on the sea of glass His faithful Children stand in a perfect square… And we were all clothed with a glorious white mantle …. Angels are all about us as we marched over the sea of glass to the gate of the city.

Jesus raised His mighty, glorious arm, lays hold of the pearly gate, swings it back on its glittering hinges and says to us, “you have washed your robes in my blood, stood stiffly for My truth, enter in.” We all march in and fill that we have a perfect right in the city…….

We try to call up our greatest trials, but they looked so small compared with the far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory that surrounds us that we can not speak them out, and we all cry out, “Alleluia, heaven is cheap enough!”

we then touched our glorious harps and make heaven’s arches ring…. There we saw most glorious houses, most glorious to behold….”we see A field full of all kinds of flowers, and as we pluck them, we cried out, “They will never fade.”

Next we see a field of tall grass, most glorious to behold; it was living green and had a reflection of silver and gold, as it waved proudly to the glory of King Jesus…. Soon we heard Christ lovely voice, saying,

“Come, my people, you have come out of great tribulation, and done My will; suffered for Me; come in to supper, for I will gird Myself, and serve you.” We shout, “Alleluia! glory!” (From the writings of E.G. White)

A vision can never do justice to the reality of what God Has prepared for HIS FAITHFUL CHILDREN WHO WILL ENDURE TILL THE END for Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written: “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.” My friends Christ calls, We still have GRACE for “Time measured out my days Life carried me along In my soul I yearned to follow God But knew Id never be so strong I looked hard at this world To learn how heaven could be gained Just to end where I began Where human effort is all in vain Were it not for grace I can tell you where Id be Wandering down some pointless road to nowhere With my salvation up to me”  (Larnelle Harris) But because of grace and Calvary. SALVATION AND HEAVEN IS OURS IF WE BELIEVE.

A PRAYER FOR EVERYONE

“Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today in our hour of need, to ask Your forgiveness and to seek Your Grace, mercy, and guidance. We know in your Word it says, in Isaiah 5:20 “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” but we as a CHURCH and a SOCIETY and a NATION have done exactly that, and allowed our FOCUS to move from JESUS CHRIST AND HIM CRUCIFIED TO SELF AND WHAT IS BEST FOR ME AND NOT THEE. We have lost our spiritual compass, and have Focused our values, toward the values of the god of this world. But today we ask  for your forgiveness, and pray that once again our focus will be placed on our Lord and Savior and His will for us. And through your WORD AND SPIRIT Our eyes will forever remain on Thee as we ENDURE THIS RACE to the FINISH LINE AMEN

We pray that each Adopted child of the king will search the Scriptures  “for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. John 5:39

Isaiah 8:20 says To the LAW and to the TESTIMONY! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

We as members of our various congregations in the last days of this life’s history must make it our responsibility to search the scriptures daily, as we seek God’s Spirit. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 2:11 “For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

And once we focus and allow the Spirit to take control and to guide and supervise our mind  then Paul tells us in 2 Timothy 2:15 to “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Remember my Friends every Scripture in God’s word testifies about our Savior and what must be done to be saved, and receive Eternal life.

As Children of God we can not loose  sight of  the fact that SCRIPTURE AND SALVATION can not be Separated. The example each church and member should be bound to imitate is, Jesus Christ and Him crucified 1 Peter 2:21 says For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps.

We pray that our focus will be centered on Jesus Christ and Him Crucified and not on the things of this world. The United States and the world is controlled mostly by government and corporate money and people. Sin and Satan’s controlling influence Has taken control.

As the world loses sight of Christ saving grace, we as Christians have fallen into Satan’s trap, As we convince ourselves, I must obtain what Capitalism tells me is important in my life instead of Christ.

“Capitalism is the astounding belief that the most wickedest of men will do the most wickedest of things for the greatest good of everyone.” (John Maynard Keyne) “While God’s mercy bears long with the transgressor, there is a limit beyond which men may not go on in sin.

The time is coming when in their fraud and insolence men will reach a point that the Lord will not permit them to pass and they will learn that there is a limit to the forbearance of Jehovah, beyond which the judgments of Jehovah can no longer be delayed.(E,G, White)

My friends  in Matthew 6:33 it tells us “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” And if you don’t obtain it here on earth.

Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 2:9 (KJ21) But as it is written: “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

We pray for our nation who have exploited  the poor and told them. Your prayers will be answered if you play the lottery. In study after study, the researchers note that lotteries set off a vicious cycle that exploits low-income individuals’ desires to escape poverty.

While it also directly prevents them from improving upon their financial situations. a disproportionate number of people who consistently buy lottery tickets tend to be lower-income and working-class people who can least afford it.

But when our states and cities lures the poor into these quick scheme money traps. God is not pleased and will hold us as a Nation responsible. The Bible’s position on how we treat the poor throughout its pages, interestingly, it has less to do with the poor than it has to do with us and how we treat them.

As Christians we know the only security we all have is in the loving arms of our Savior Jesus Christ  Psalm. 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

The state is now a partner with the gaming industry and all for the perverted attributes that goes into this industry. Everything from drunkenness, to crime and prostitution with the purpose of defrauding the poor and needed of our Nation.

Now I will ask our Churches regardless of Denominational standings, individual Christians, and politicians what are our responsibilities, or do we have any? You decide today as you ask for Gods direction, as we focus on entering God’s Pure ans Holy Kingdom.

OLD TIME INTERCESSORY PRAYER LIFE!!!

My friends we need an OLD TIME INTERCESSORY PRAYER LIFE for others, as Paul had. Because no matter what the situation, or circumstances, his faith as A child of God, allowed him to look beyond, and to know God was always by his side.

“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8. So in knowing that, his concern moved away from self to his love and concern for others.

As GOD’S ADOPTED CHILDREN, we must also have that same type of OLD TIME INTERCESSORY PRAYER LIFE. Paul tells us in Col 1:24-25  “I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church…

To have that type of OLD TIME INTERCESSORY PRAYER LIFE we must have a day by day walk with God who strengthens our faith to withstand every trial in our life and still, look pass self, with the discernment to have a heartfelt prayer life for others.

To have A Genuine intercession for others we must bring the situation and circumstances of there problems, before God, until you personally are transformed by His attitude toward that person or circumstance you are praying for.

Intercession means to “rejoice in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions… Col. 1:24” My friends to allow this to happen, as an adopted child of God, we must place our self  in our Father’s place.

I should be so familiar with God, because of His presence in my life that His mind, character, and Spirit becomes a part of me, as I still have the humility of a child who still needs guidance and prayer himself, as I intercede for others before Christ.

My Friends personally, I am overwhelmed, and at the same time I rejoice at the thought of this Journey God has determined to place me on, as I seek His presence each day, and yet it keeps my relationship with God constantly growing as self dies daily.

For “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.” John 12:24 My friends our OLD TIME INTERCESSORY PRAYER LIFE is also about compassion for others through Christ.

Compassion for them, as you see through the eyes of  Christ, Sheep without a shepherd. Think of the number of people God has brought into your lives. That if you have not, you should be constantly having A OLD TIME INTERCESSORY PRAYER LIFE FOR.

And as we move closer to Christ soon return we must continue to ask God to increase our territory as our prayers for others must center on the basis of there need for,

Redemption, Repentance, Forgiveness, Hope, Healing And through our faith in God will create in others something He cannot create other than through our heartfelt OLD TIME INTERCESSORY PRAYER LIFE because

“If not you, I wonder where will they ever find the One who really cares? If not you, how will they find the One who heals the broken heart, gives sight to the blind? Cause You’re the only Jesus some will ever see You’re the only words of life, some will ever read.

So let them see in you the One in whom is all they’ll ever need.” Ephesians 6:18 tells us “With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,”

Our example before us who had an OLD TIME INTERCESSORY PRAYER LIFE, were the original prayer warriors. Abraham, Moses, David, Samuel, Hezekiah, Elijah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel. All had A heartfelt INTERCESSORY PRAYERS LIFE,

With Christ as their example as the ultimate intercessor, for others, and because of Christ and His example, all children of God’s PRAYERS becomes intercession as we make our petition to God through Jesus Christ and Him Crucified.

Jesus presented our lives in the presence of His Father when He said it is finished. And because of Christ as the mediator on our behalf, we can now intercede in our prayers on behalf of others and A world marred in sin, by partitioning God to grant their requests And our prayers according to His will. “For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5)

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES!!!

Said Jesus in John 10:18 “No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.: I have power to lay it down, I have power to take it again.” it was Christ Choice to die. And so, when He felt the time was right, He gave up the Ghost!

BUT THE JOURNEY CONTINUES!!! Since the Beginning this was Christ Destiny When the words were repeated in Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” HE KNEW THE JOURNEY FOR HIM WOULD NOT END, UNTIL HE SAID, “IT IS FINISHED”

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES!!! Four thousands years later, John 1:11-14 tells us He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” A Babe in Bethlehem WHEN HE FIRST STARTED HIS JOURNEY FOR US. then 33 years later.

Thru the Jordan Trail “Down the Vía Dolorosa called the way of suffering like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, came the Messiah, Christ the King, But He chose to walk that road out of His love for you and me. Once it was Christ time HIS JOURNEY moves rapidly (1) The Last Supper (2)  The Garden of Gethsemane as Christ spends His last Hours praying to His Father, then Jesus is Betrayed and Arrested.

(3) The Religious Leaders Condemn Jesus (4)  6 am Jesus Stands Trial Before Pilate, He is then Sent to Herod. (5) 7 am Jesus Returned to Pilate, Jesus is Sentenced to Death (6)  8 a.m. Jesus is Led Away to Calvary (7)  9 a.m.”The Third Hour” Jesus is Crucified on the Cross. The sequence of events That leads to the Death of our perfect Savior, Dying in A imperfect world.

HIS JOURNEY had many experiences, some good, some bad, But He never gave up He REMAINED FOCUSED ON HIS JOURNEY, as His life was continually threatened, unjustly tried and rejected as the Son of God Mark 14:61:64 tells us the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?”

“I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven…….. “You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?” They all condemned him as worthy of death..” His mission is now belittled to that of A out of touch, Crazy street preacher, BUT THE JOURNEY CONTINUES.

Slapped, brutalized, beaten, spit upon BUT THE JOURNEY CONTINUES! Crowds looking on, rabble rousers are shouting, women weeping, hecklers mocking, soldiers harassing, His disciples abandon Him, “The principalities and powers of darkness were assembled around the cross, casting the hellish shadow of unbelief into the hearts of men,

in leading the people to believe Christ the chief of sinners, and to make Him the object of detestation. Those who mocked Christ as He hung upon the cross were imbued with the spirit of the first great rebel. He filled them with vile and loathsome speeches. He inspired their taunts. But by all this he gained nothing.” BECAUSE HE CONTINUED THIS JOURNEY FOR US (E.G. White Desire of ages pp. 760-761)

Nailed to A cruel cross Mark tells us in Mark 15:31-32 “In the same way the chief priests and the teachers of the law mocked him among themselves. “He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save himself! Let this Messiah, this king of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe.”

It was the third hour when they crucified him,” that is, 9 o’clock. When “the sixth hour had come” (12 noon), darkness covered the whole earth, reflecting the betrayal at 12 midnight. After three hours of darkness, at 3 p.m., Jesus cried out IT IS FINISHED and gave up the ghost. ” BUT THE JOURNEY CONTINUES!

His Last Breath, caused a drastic change in Nature. IT IS FINISHED caused the Light of the Sun to Go Out: the Sun was Darkened. IT IS FINISHED caused the Earth to go into Convulsions: the Rocks were torn apart; the Hill called Calvary Shook. IT IS FINISHED tore the Veil of the Temple BUT THE JOURNEY CONTINUES.

Two days later on A Sunday morning THE SON OF MAN RISES AGAIN AS THE JOURNEY CONTINUES! IT CONTINUES BECAUSE THIS JOURNEY, WE THE ADOPTED CHILDREN OF GOD NOW CONTINUE THROUGH CHRIST John 15:20 tells us “Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’

If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.” My friends, HIS FAITH, FOCUS, HUMILITY, GRACE, MERCY, LOVE, POWER, HOLINESS, ENDURANCE AND SPIRIT We all have obtained through Calvary if we believe.

2Peter 1:3 tells us “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.” Paul also tells us in 1Cor. 15:57 “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” My friends Matt 24 let’s us know THIS JOURNEY WILL END SOON

Revelation 22:11-14 warns us. “Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.” “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. My friends PLEASE GIVE IT ALL TO THE MASTER TODAY, HE HAS TRAVELED THIS JOURNEY, HE CAN GUIDE YOU TO HIS PURE AND HOLY KINGDOM.

REPAIRERS OF THE BREACH!!!

Isaiah 58:12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

As Christians it is time we all come together, look back at the foundation upon which we built our faith on when Christ first came into our lives, and take A oath to love even when there is diversity and  separation 0f opinions with all, in the body of Christ, as we become restorer’s of the path God has placed us on, as we seek His presence in our lives each day.

For Paul tells us in Ephesians 2:19-22 “Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.

In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.”

And as A Church of one body, each member are repairers of the breach, And there must be a propensity within each member whose focus is on God’s kingdom to restrict everything that keeps the body of Christ from being empowered with the grace and mercy of A risen Savior. My Friends one God one body united through love.

For Colossians 3:14-16 tells us “And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” My friends reconciliation and restoration are part of God’s building Blocks as we approach the last days of this life’s history.

A change from within must occur that focuses our attention away from self to A tolerance of love and humility using Christ as our example. Each member in the body of Christ are at different levels on This Journey God has placed us own but the destination does not change.

the blood and love of our Savior will be the bond of every Child of God who will sit together At that banquet table of the redeemed in Gods pure and holy kingdom. For in Matthew 26 it tells us “Now when evening came, Jesus was reclining at the table with the twelve disciples”

………as He tells them “But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.” MY FRIENDS, ONE TABLE, ONE GOD, AND ONE BODY OF BELIEVERS who loved one another, stayed focused, allowed God’s Word and Spirit to Guide, and endured till the end.

For we are all adopted Children of God born into the family of righteousness. Ephesians 1:3-5 tells us Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.

Israel  longed for God to return them to their own land and rebuild the walls and the temple. They were broken and desperately wanted some sort of revival that would make them once again Gods favorites. But in Isaiah it seems to indicate that they were not willing to be repairers of the breach, by allowing Christ, total access, to there mind and body.

Isaiah tells us in Isaiah 9:1-2 “Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.” For to long we as Christians have allowed the world to be the foundation for how we build our relationships in the body of Christ.

But, each individual must be his or her own diplomat, And once it becomes A personal challenge to restore the breach, we will see the revival for which we have been asking for in our lives, and in the body of Christ.

“Then your light will break forth like the dawn and your healing will quickly appear; your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard…. You will be like a well-watered garden, a spring whose waters never fail…. You will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.” I as A Child of God have A passion to be The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in. I want to be God’s messenger as I present the good news of Christ soon return. as I keep my footing and faith forever focused on our Savior “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” 1 Cor. 3:11

UNCHARTERED TERRITORY

Devotion For Sep. 20, 2013

If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses?………………. Jeremmiah 12:5

The 2012 summer Olympics, track and field events  started August 3rd in London. The anticipation was great; the field never seemed as talented as it did this year. We witnessed Usain Bolt’s “double-treble,” which the term implies three sporting victories or championships in the same season– Mo Farah’s double, Allyson Felix’s treble, and David Rudisha’s historic 800-meter win.

But today I will deal with only the latter, David Rudisha’s historic 800 meter win on the 9^th of August 2012. Rudisha led this amazing race from start to finish, winning the gold, in what was acclaimed, “The Greatest 800 Meter Race Ever”.

Many were astonished by what Rudisha accomplished, as he led the race from start, to the finish, while running a series of split times that defied everyone’s expectation; 23.30sec for 200m, 49.28sec for 400m, 1min 14.30sec for 600m. And on he went, as His long muscular stride carried him effortlessly along the track.

Finally, as he moved around the final bend, it became clear this was history in the making, As the 80,000 audience erupted, he continued to pull away until the final straight, where second place Nigel Amos was unable to gain any ground for the gap was much too great to close, as Rudisha crossed the line in a world-record time, 1:40.91. They say David Rudisha is “the greatest runner you’ve never heard of”.

That is the line that has been stated by the writers at the BBC, Vanity Fair and others in weeks leading up to the Olympics. But now, Rudisha is a household name; the greatest 800m runner in history. And he did not need a close competitor pushing him to reach 600m in 1:14.30. To put that in perspective, the split from 400-to-600 is surely one of the fastest of all time for that juncture of any race.

Rudisha stunningly pulled that off after blazing through the first 400 meters. Finally, no rest was necessary to finish  the race. His legs remained just as fresh during the last 200 meters, as they were at the first 200m. At the same time, his form remained absolutely flawless.

In an event that is absolutely grueling. And yes without a doubt we can say, that David Rudisha took the 800-meter running to an entirely new level. Rudisha also pulled the entire field around behind him. Great Britain’s Andrew Osagie finished eighth, in 1min 43.77sec.

We can say, no one has ever run faster to finish last in an 800m final. His was one of seven personal bests set in the race, along with two national records. Then the odd man out, Rudisha’s great rival, Abubaker Kaki,  had to settle for a season’s best  seventh place.

The fact is there is no one that we know in the world of track and field who can catch Rudisha. As I witnessed this race myself, I was listening to one of the broadcasters on the NBC affiliate station as they were describing history in the making. His words went something like this,

“We have certainly entered into unchartered territory, in that David Rudisha ended his race just as fast as he started it and that is unheard of in the 800m run. Usually a runner at that distance loses a stride or two into that final stretch, but not Rudisha; his final stride was just as strong as his first.” So today I put this in a Christian’s perspective.

For each of us who are looking for Christ soon return, as we come into that final stretch to the finish line, we must ask ourselves; Are we in “unchartered territory?” Are we moving just as strong  in finishing up Christ work here on earth as we did when we first started this race? With the help of the Spirit of God, are we spreading the good news of Christ saving grace to our friends, family, love one’s, co-workers, and a world that has lost sight of the saving grace of our savior?

Are we constantly asking the question; what must I do to be saved and enter into Gods pure and holy society? Unchartered territory! Yes, that is where we must be in our final stretch today. Our desire, our goals, our passion, our focus, our faith, our endurance, our prayers, and the never ending study of God’s word, must never waver from when we started, as we come into the final bend of earth’s history.

To finish this race will be very grueling, but we must  never forget that this race has already been won on Calvary. We just have to believe and trust God that he is in control of our destiny if we will only give it all to Master.

And like David Rudisha, we must pull the field around behind us, by keeping everyone encouraged, by always reminding the rest of the field, that once we cross that finish line no matter what place you come in at, if you have faith, and believe, and stay focused, and study the course which is the word of God, we all will receive the same, that ultimate prize, which is eternal life. For we must never forget Phil. 3:14; “Press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus”. So my friends today, Remain faithful as we enter into “unchartered territory.”

FINITE MIND, DEFINING INFINITE LOVE!!!

How do we as created beings characterize the true meaning of the word LOVE when you speak in terms of God. For John tells us in 1 John 4:9-11 “In this the LOVE of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have LOVED God but that he LOVED us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so LOVED us, we also ought to LOVE one another.” In our finite minds, this is called agape LOVE, which tells us that LOVE is selfless, sacrificial, and unconditional. As A human, this is probably as far as our restricted minds can comprehend.

And if Christ is not the focal point of our life then we will probably confuse LOVE with infatuation or lust, with A never ending story and A open book of struggles, and trials in our lives where our memories are but A state of uncertainty, lingering in the mind from past experiences when God was not the single most important Person in our lives.

Going to the WORD OF GOD Paul tells us in 1Cor. 13:1-13 “LOVE  is patient, LOVE  is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. LOVE  does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. LOVE  never fails……..and now these three remain: faith, hope and LOVE . But the greatest of these is LOVE .” Paul get’s as close to explaining to each of us the true meaning of LOVE  but still with A finite meaning, because men wrote the Bible, inspired of course by the Holy Spirit.

But my friends today as Christians and children of the living God. let’s personalize such A complicated word and I hope once we Do, that we can all agree that the true meaning of LOVE  is simply GOD. Who has allowed the miracle of transformation to take place in each of our lives.

For the true meaning of LOVE  goes far beyond any explanation or meaning that our finite minds could ever conceived without Christ in our lives. To me personally it is A feeling that you could never put on paper or describe. It becomes A feeling you can only demonstrate in how you deal with the world as A Christian,  each day, as you allow Christ total control.  

So how do our finite minds define A felling that transcends from A God of grace and mercy who gave His life for us two thousands years ago so that in 2013 we might be saved “…… But God demonstrates his own LOVE  for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:7-8 My friends how can A finite mind ever define that in words.

I can see why Abraham was ask to sacrifice His only son. because to truly understand the meaning of LOVE  you must feel in our finite minds what God feels. So He tells Abraham to “Take now your son, YOUR ONLY SON, WHOM YOU LOVE, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah; and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I will tell you.'”(Gen. 22:1-2)

So to really understand the true meaning of LOVE  it can only be A feeling, A feeling that tells me from deep within that if we have faith and believe, that God has made our life to be as that of a “man or woman after His own heart;” And if we have established such A relationship, then we do understand LOVE . What John defines in 1 John 4:8

“Whoever does not LOVE , does not know God, BECAUSE GOD IS LOVE.” And then when we receive the mind of Christ we are now measured by the life of Christ, as you become A candidate to God’s law of LOVE , and this pure and genuine LOVE  can only be given to us through faith that God’s presence controls our lives each day,

as it refines, restores and replaces what the world deems as LOVE  with genuine LOVE from God who is LOVE . And if I go one day without this LOVE  that God instills into me without allowing self to Die then I begin to revert back to how the world defines LOVE .

So with the mind of Christ we begin to realize through His word and spirit how far sin has taken us from understanding God’s genuine LOVE , and what we must do to be Like Christ, whose KNOWLEDGE & WISDOM OF GODS LOVE comes to ALL who are SOLID LEARNERS of His WAYS and WORKS.

And as we begin to obtain a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with GOD through His WORD, the SPIRIT begins to IMPLANT a SANCTIFICATION PROCESS that CONVERTS GODS nature and love into ours. For It is not POSSIBLE for the HEART where GOD ABIDES, not to LOVE as GOD LOVES, A GOD WHO GAVE HIS ONLY SON SO That ALL HUMANITY MAY have eternal life.

And Now my friends through Christ and His LOVE, we become Justified to live with Him in His pure and holy kingdom. For once we are justified through His LOVE  we are then “Set in A perfect vertical alignment with Christ and His will for us. And as we begin to understand the LOVE of God through Jesus Christ on Calvary.Then this,

“Enables Him to take your life & put it up against Christ perfect life which is His standard of righteousness & declare you to be as perfect as He is. No matter what your personal circumstances may be. And despite awareness of my own sinfulness and humanity today, as I look at the cross i’m just in awe of the fact that you see me just as perfectly righteous as Jesus, because though He knew no sin, He permitted Himself to be made sin on my behalf and to suffer the death that I deserve “(Bill Liversidge)  

So my friends I now walk like Christ, I talk like Christ, I treat others, using Christ as my example. And Each Day of my life is now spent with The one who now lives in me, and I no longer conform to the world’s definition of LOVE . But Christ LOVE  lives in this finite mind and body, because He and His LOVE  is infinite. So friends today my definition of the word LOVE , out of the many definitions each of you or the world can define, is simply Jesus Christ and Him crucified who lives in me today, tomorrow, and soon to be, throughout the ceaseless ages of Eternity.

SPIRITUAL HOSPITALITY
HOSPITALITY-the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers.

In the West today HOSPITALITY is rarely a matter of protection and survival, and is more associated with etiquette and entertainment. However, it still involves showing respect for one’s guests, providing for their needs, and treating them as equals. Cultures and subcultures vary in the extent to which one is expected to show HOSPITALITY to strangers, as opposed to personal friends or members of one’s in-group.

Now as A Christian, HOSPITALITY must be defined as A mater of PROTECTION and SURVIVAL But the key words in the statements above is TREATING THEM AS EQUALS even though our Cultures and subcultures, rich, poor, Heterosexual, or homosexual, thin, or overweight, African American, Spanish, or Caucasian, Educated, or not so Educated.

Vary in the extent to which one is expected to show HOSPITALITY to strangers, as opposed to personal friends or members of one’s in-group. Luke 19:1-9  tells us Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy.

He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way. When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I MUST STAY AT YOUR HOUSE TODAY.” SO HE CAME DOWN AT ONCE AND WELCOMED HIM GLADLY.

All the people saw this and began to mutter, “HE HAS GONE TO BE A GUEST OF A SINNER.”…….Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”  In  this account of the life of Christ Luke is letting us know that as Christians,

we must always recognize as Paul states in romans 10:9-13 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. A poor Carpenter/Traveling Preacher, is about to be entertained by A man of Wealth.

Every Saturday or Sunday we Leave our Churches. We think nothing of inviting the Pastor or Dr.got it going on to our houses for Dinner. But what about the Member who does not quite fit into who we may want sitting on our Lexington Upholstery Salon Sofa. When do we as Children of A God, A God who gave His blood for all,

begin to recognize as Paul tells us in Col. 1:16 “For in him all things were created: Things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him”. Each of us need to ask ourselves today, WHAT MUST I DO TO BE LIKE CHRIST.

“When the teachers of the law who were Pharisee saw him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?” Mark 2:16 Why would The Creator of the universe, the “KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS” stoop so low as to eat with sinners.

John 8:6-7…….. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them. “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” Paul tells us in ”Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”

We as Christians in the last days of this life’s history must begin to possess SPIRITUAL HOSPITALITY as A mandate from Christ of how He lived His life.Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 that “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.

There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.” So the gift of SPIRITUAL HOSPITALITY is our commission for the purpose of building up God’s church and serving the body of Christ. So we who seek Eternity must ask God each day to increase our territory to include everyone.

Our gifts, and homes are given not just for the benefit of family and friends. But for the enhancement of all, in the body of believers no mater what race, creed, color, or economic group they may be A part of. Romans 12:13, tells us “Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice HOSPITALITY”

Peter also tells us in 1 Peter 4:8-10 “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

My friends, what A powerful statement above. What this tells us is this has to be, A way of life for each child of God in reaching Salvation through Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. Christianity is the faith of openness, as we open our hearts, and open our churches, and open our homes to everyone. So my friends today “whatever you do”or whoever you entertain, “do it all for the glory of God.” this is Christian hospitality, the example Christ left for each and everyone of us who seek His pure and holy Kingdom.

HAVE NO OTHER god’s BEFORE ME!!!

“I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. Thou shalt not have strange gods before me. Ex. 20:2-3

From the beginning God points us to calvary and than the first law of His Decalogue is to have no other gods before you

Romans 6: 15-18 15 tells us, What then? “Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?

But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.” So First let’s determine what we as Christians consider as A God, or god  in the 21st century

GOD – In Christianity and other monotheistic religions simply means the creator and ruler of the universe and source of all moral authority; the supreme being.
god- one of several deities, especially a male deity, presiding over some portion of worldly affairs. or anything that takes our love, affections away from our CREATOR WHO IS OUR TRUE GOD

Paul tells us in” Philippians 2:12-13  Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

When we are laborers together with God, we cannot set our affections upon things below; for where our affections are, our thoughts will be; and where our thoughts are, there will be our treasure. When we dwell upon things seen and temporal, we fail to obtain divine knowledge (White)

So to have no other Gods before me, would mean to Renounce  Anything that hinders A true worship of God. At the time God is giving His commandments, Moses is on top of a mountain. He’s about to be given the 10 Decalogue from God. And the Bible says, then God spoke these words:

“I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.” It is amazing that the 10 Commandments don’t start with a command, but a statement.”I am the Lord your God who brought you out of slavery.” And this statement seems to imply A relationship. So God only gave these precepts to people who He had A relationship with.

And then their influence were to relay Gods message to the world. But instead The world were the one’s who did the influencing that resulted in Israel’s downfall. As Christians we also have the good news of the Gospel along with Gods commandments. What has our influence been on the world.

Or have we allowed the gods of this world to determine our relationship with God and our responsibility to tell other about Him. But A commitment to serve can only happen when you give it all to the Master and follow him to Calvary. Once again going back to God giving this commandment to Israel who already had A relationship with God.

In making the command to His people who should have had no other god;s before him, Also recognizes what influence other gods would have on Israel. And each of us in the 21st century, and how these gods would hinder our relationship with Him. in this busy and complex world we live in.

I often find myself these days having to sacrifice something I love to do, for the sake of what is more important at that particular time. Well God wants us to know in giving us this commandment, that He wants nothing before Him

“for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.”

In other words, every decision you make in life should first be centered and focused on our LOVE, HONOR, RESPECT, WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE AND RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. God started His precepts off by saying “I am the Lord your God who brought you out of Egypt, where you were in the house of bondage.

In other words you were slaves. And like each of us, we were all slaves to sin. But God reminded Israel And each of us today. That He not only is our Creator , but he also redeemed us on Calvary for Paul tells us in1 Corinthians 6:20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

So First We are his because he created us. And second we are His because he bought us out of Our Bondage to Satan and the forces of evil and freed us at the cross. So my God lead Israel and He is also leading us today to make Him your only God. God sees our relationship with Him much like a marriage relationship.

1Corinthians 6:15-17 tells us Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.”But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.

Like The words of the marriage vows say “FORSAKING ALL OTHERS” There can be only one God the God who is revealed to us in His Word. And he is calling us into A relationship with him today through His Word and Spirit. My friends today where does your LOVE AND AFFECTIONS LIE Where is your focus when your mind takes a break from the complexities of your life.

Where is your focus? Like a compass needle,will always point north, will your focus and love always point to Christ. in the world of technology, and facebook, What is your passion, What is important to you? Where do you spend your time? What are you living for each day?

“Colossians 3:1-4 tells us “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”

Temporal things are not to engage our whole attention, or engross our minds until our thoughts are entirely of the earth and the earthly. We are to train, discipline, and educate the mind so that we may think in a heavenly channel, that we may dwell on things unseen and eternal, which will be discerned by spiritual vision. It is by seeing Him who is invisible that we may obtain strength of mind and vigor of spirit. E. G. White So my friends today I ask you the question who is your God or god
