“TILL DEATH DO US PART”

My friends, What God has united, many will put asunder for less than what Judas sold our Lord and Savior for, a measly thirty pieces of silver. Satan therefore is gaining much more success as he plants his banner in the marriage institution that same institution God implemented and blessed at creation, between man and woman, in the Garden of Eden.

But it has always been Satan’s plan to debase, demoralize, and pervert the marriage institution while weakening its sacredness, and commitment to the words that couples should make in the presence of God which states.

To be true to each other in good and bad times, to love and honor each other all the days of your lives, committing to have and to hold for better or worse for richer or poorer in sickness and health, to love and to cherish, from this day forward until death do us part.

And once repeated before God these vows should be with God’s grace, who is and should always be the foundation of the marriage and home. On this happy occasion Satan observes carefully each day, as he studies one’s heart, and mind, as he has with fiendish intensity for six thousand years.

He then points out most easily one’s character flaws that would cause each and everyone who takes their marriage vows to lose sight of Christ, while never willing to yield or compromise with one another thus bringing on unhappiness and most cases divorce.

But each, man and woman must have the Spirit of God and if the Spirit of God dwells in one’s heart there will be a type of heaven on earth in the home, and by God’s grace each will succeed in making the other happy till death do you part.

So as your marriage vows unites you as one, the wife is to respect her husband, the husband is to love and cherish his wife so their belief in Christ should make them as one in Him, while they seek to become more and more imbued with the Spirit of Christ.

Thus, allowing for a perfect harmony between the husband and wife who enter into a covenant with God. So today, let man and woman in the presence of God pledge themselves to love each other as God has ordained they should.

“Always remember that your affections are to complement each other’s happiness and individuality in other words, God should always be the focus of your individuality. Of Him you are to ask: What is right? What is wrong? How may I best fulfill your purpose in our union together?

For if we don’t place God at the center, Satan will be ever ready to take advantage when any matter of variance arises. Because it is at that point he moves upon the objectionable and different traits of character in husband or wife.

Now there is alienation between both parties who have united a solemn convenient before God. So always remember, in your marriage if the law of God is obeyed, and cherished, Satan will be kept out of the home and family, and compromise of interest for one another, will always take place, and no alienation of affection will be permitted.” ( E.G.White)

And as we move closer to Christ soon coming, Satan will work with all the powers he tempted ancient Israel, just before they entered the Promise Land. He will lay snares for those who claim to keep Gods commandments and as we are right at the heavenly borders he will use all powers, to destroy God’s children at their weakest point in their marriage.

But if you will stay focused on Christ abiding love, and endure through His word and Spirit while upholding those vows sacred you both made in His presence. what grace has begun, the glory of God will present with A victory crown one day, very soon, in His pure and holy kingdom.

IN TURBULENT WATERS, WILL YOUR ANCHOR HOLD?

“Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:11-13 (ESV)

What is the purpose of an ANCHOR IN TURBULENT WATERS? Today let’s call the ANCHOR our FAITH. Which as a Child of God will prevent each of us from drifting out to sea or into this world due to the TURBULENT waters, and currents, or the god of this world making us an offer that sometimes sounds so good that we try and convince ourselves. We have to take it because it is the right thing to do.

A popular misconception is that the anchor itself acts as the main weight to “secure” the ship in its position. On an anchoring run, the ship would lay the anchor together with a length of its iron cables which we will call the HOLY SPIRIT on the seabed. The length to be released would depend on factors such as the depth of the water etc.

So it is not the weight of the anchor, but the weight of the huge iron cables connected to the anchor that “secures” the ship or secures our mind and body into the loving arms of Christ. The ANCHOR’S weight does play a role, but it is mainly used to grip or hook the iron cables to the seabed. My friends this is where I need you to focus today.

The word FAITH, and the fact, in order for the word itself  to have some meaning, we must first be connected to God, through His Spirit. He must have complete complete control. Because if that ANCHOR, or our FAITH ever breaks away from God’s Spirit, then Faith  becomes only a meaningless word with no value except to lay dormant at the bottom of the ocean, or in a world that has but a short time to exist.

I speak of Faith a lot in my devotionals because it is the only way if we are connected to God’s Spirit to survive IN TURBULENT WATERS and Finish this journey. So many of God’s Children fill that they still have mountains in this world they need to climb. But my friends that mountain is only worth climbing if we are doing it for Christ.

We tell ourselves I got to make so much money, or get to a prominent position at my job, or go to England or china. I need a bigger house, or a bigger car. friends they are all great ambitions. But all of our ambitions

only make sense in God’s sight if they are based on our relationship with Him and His needs, and how will my ambitions, and needs in life benefit God in this controversy between good and evil.

We are too close to Christ second coming for any decision to be made in our life without us asking the questions how this will benefit my Lord and Savior. Remember “only what we do for Christ will last” everything else is futile and void. As Christians we believe that a resurrected Christ has conquered death, and therefore death will never pose a barrier to his ability to lead and guide his people who trust him for His grace and salvation.

As we trust his word to guide us in all that we do each day please, keep trusting even when at times it seems all you do is pray to God To take the storm away, but instead of it going away when we think it should, all you hear Him say is: My grace, My grace is sufficient. But friends if we have faith, and allow God’s Spirit to stay attached even in IN TURBULENT WATERS.

Than, His grace truly is sufficient, because He is always “preparing us who have faith for something we cannot handle right now, He is always making each of us ready Just because He cares,” while He provides us the armor we need IN TURBULENT WATERS to carry out the next matter in our life, and finish this race here on earth, and enter his pure and holy kingdom.

So my friends today. Stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY

PAUSE!!! WHY HAVE YOU BROUGHT NO FRUIT TO MATURITY?

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Ps. 46:10 (NKJV)

Kids, Husband, Wife, Grandchildren, Church, School, Daycare, Work, and the list goes on in regards to our everyday responsibilities. Go, here, Go there!!!! Now my friends this is where I need you to focus today.

As you look back over the last 24 hours of your life, and hit the PAUSE button. As you form a distinct and striking mental image in time as you allow you life to play out in slow motion as we place it all in perspective.

First, we can now say without a doubt that God woke us up this morning. He gave us the ability to do all that we have done but of course “He maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. Matt. 5:45 (KJV) so  no big deal.

But as a child of  God, A chosen vessel. We have to make God unique for our lives, and what He does for us daily as we place him in every situation, and circumstances. We cannot generalize God or just take Him for granted. Because sooner than we think.

“we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.”  2 Cor. 5:10 (NIV) So everyone will have his or her own unique set of circumstances of why out of a 24 hour day no time was spent to serve Him.

Surely, there is no misunderstanding on what our Savior has done, and continues to do in our life. While some never PAUSE to acknowledge God’s presence, thus never feeling the importance to serve him in any way.

“The story is told of a devout king, disturbed by the ingratitude of his royal court. He prepared a large banquet for them. When the king and his royal guests were seated, by prearrangement, a beggar shuffled into the hall, sat down at the king’s table, and gorged himself with food.

Without saying a word, he then left the room. The guests were furious and asked permission to seize the tramp and tear him limb from limb for his ingratitude. The king replied, “That beggar has done only once to an earthly king what each of you do each day to God.

You sit at the table of life, and gorge upon the things of this world until you are satisfied. Then you walk away without ever PAUSING, and acknowledging God, His Presence, or what can I do to repay him for all He has done for me.

“A sower went out to sow his seed…. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it…….Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, AND BRING NO FRUIT TO MATURITY. Luke 8:14 (NKJV)

Why my friends HAVE YOU BROUGHT NO FRUIT TO MATURITY that is all God ask of us.  A God who loves us so much that “He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 (NKJV)

Understand my friends, to PAUSE is very difficult when you live in the 21 century, high tech, got to have it now society. But what is the price that we are paying not to PAUSE, and enter the throne room of our Savior as you recognize the Presence of God.

We must seek with passion today while asking. ” Not my will, but thy will be done,”  as you Pause long enough to allow the Spirit to transform every thought and attitude, that will allow you to give it all to the Master. Once Again my friends.

“When you reach that final sunset, and you look into His eyes, will the tears you shed be tears of joy or would they be your last goodbye,” it would be a tragedy to get to that day that you have waited for all of your life, and realize that all you have accumulated and accomplished on this earth “COULD NOT COMPARE TO ETERNAL LIFE”

“YOU HAVE DWELT LONG ENOUGH AT THIS MOUNTAIN. TURN AND TAKE YOUR JOURNEY”

“YOU HAVE DWELT LONG ENOUGH AT THIS MOUNTAIN. TURN AND TAKE YOUR JOURNEY” Deu 1:6 (KJV) The Lord telling The Israelites: that mountain you are at will not move, you are going to have to move it, if you want to get to the promise land.

“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:23 (NKJV) As a Child of God, God is also telling us “THAT WE HAVE DWELT LONG ENOUGH AT THAT MOUNTAIN” trying to get over it.

Friends when we are trying to get over difficult situation and circumstances in our life, that is when you look behind you and see you have come this far by faith so I must continue. Then grab on to the hand of Jesus and don’t let go.

”Every heart will be tested, every character developed. We are too quickly discouraged, and earnestly cry for the trial to be removed from us, when we should plead for patience to endure and grace to overcome. Our heavenly Father measures and weighs every trial before He permits it to come upon the believer. He considers the circumstances and the strength of the one who is to stand under the proving and test of God, and He never permits the temptations to be greater than the capacity of resistance.

If the soul is overborne, the person overpowered, this can never be charged to God, as failing to give strength in grace, but the one tempted was not vigilant and prayerful and did not appropriate by faith the provisions God had abundantly in store for him.Christ never failed a believer in his hour of combat. The believer must claim the promise and meet the foe in the name of the Lord, and he will not know anything like failure.” (E.G.White)

A story is told; one night a house caught fire and a young boy was forced to flee to the roof. The father stood on the ground below with outstretched arms, calling to his son, “Jump! I’ll catch you.” He knew the boy had to jump to save his life. All the boy could see, however, was flame, smoke, and blackness. As can be imagined, he was afraid to leave the roof. His father kept yelling: “Jump! I will catch you.” But the boy protested, “Daddy, I can’t see you.” The father replied, “But I can see you and that’s all that matters.” And so he jumped to safety.

On this Journey to the promise land most of the time we are traveling in blind faith, all we see is flames, smoke, and blackness along with every other obstacle, and trap that the god of this world has provided in our life to discourage us from continuing. But all that matters is Our father sees us.

And “NO TEMPTATION has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” 1 Cor. 10:13 (KJV)

God promise didn’t say every temptation except, Immorality, or Lying, or Stealing, or Homosexuality, or Covertness. God didn’t even say your “Socially Acceptable sins” God’s promise is all TEMPTATIONS He will make a way of escape, nothing in heaven or on earth is so powerful that He has not made a way of escape for His children. But your faith must tell you God sees me, even if I don’t see Him. So I must endure until this Journey is over.

Today my friends our eyes are to be forever “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross…. (Hebrews 12:2)  Acts 20:24 also states “But I count my life of no value to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.” So today just remember “YOU HAVE DWELT LONG ENOUGH AT THIS MOUNTAIN. SO TURN AND FINISH YOUR JOURNEY” TO THE PROMISE LAND

MY FRIENDS, YOUNG AND OLD, GOD HAS A PLAN FOR YOU!!!

“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.” Joel 2:28-29 My friends God is seeking dedicated workers today to finish up his work.

But He will not give his power to someone who will only use it when they can fit it into their schedule or around their favorite TV program.  We must seek this power as we eat his Word daily “When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight……” Jer. 15:16 NIV) Their can be no fear or hesitation in what God is asking us to do for Him.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2Timothy 1:7 (NIV) He knocks at our hearts door daily, but are we listening, have our FOCUS been constantly on the things of this world and not on the presence of the Good Shepherd. “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him” 2 Chronicles 16:9 (NIV)

But it starts with Faith. Soon our Faith and God’s Spirit if you walk with Him Daily, will allow you to be the beneficiary of power like we have never experience before and it will take us beyond what we can imagine at this moment. A restoration, and revival will take place from within as God’s mandate to take the gospel to all the world is carried out.

But today the passion must exist to seek the showers of blessings from God’s Spirit. It was by the confession and forsaking of all sins even the “Socially Acceptable Sins,” and earnest heartfelt consecrated prayers to God, that the disciples prepared themselves for the Comforter that Christ had promise before He ascended to go be with his father and start his mediation on our behalf.

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.” John 16:7 (NIV) God is asking no less of His chosen generation who God is given the opportunity, and privilege to carry His torch across the finish line.

But there is still work to be finished, and souls to be saved. He waits with outstretched arms for us to say with Passion, “Not My Will Lord, But Thy Will Be Done”

But “Unless we are daily advancing in the exemplification of the active Christian virtues, we shall not recognize the manifestations of the Holy Spirit. “the times of refreshing” to which the apostle Peter looked forward when he said: “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;” ( E.G.White)

Our Faith must be stretched to the limit. But if we fail at the start of this race we will never be given greater light To continue. But why should a child of God fail we look around, we see the world as it is today, and recognize that even  Satan knows, and no one had to tell him. So why should a child of God who seeks God’s presence everyday not know that Christ is soon to come.

You know prophecy, you see signs of His coming each day. But you also know that he will come as a thief in the night “But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. So my friends the “curtain is pulled back” it’s time, YOUNG AND OLD, GOD HAS A PLAN for each of you so please accept His call  today.

“THESE ARE JUST THE BEGINNING OF BIRTH PAINS!!!”

“To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” Eph. 4:22-24 (ESV)

PLEASE GOD I NEED YOU TO RADICALLY, AND THOROUGHLY CHANGE  MY LIFE!!!!! Let’s go to Webster and define the word RADICALLY: Going to the root or origin; now let’s define the word THOROUGHLY: complete; perfect. So if we put the words together we are telling God that we need Him to get to the root or origin of the sins in our life and make us completely perfect. Does that sound about right?

And can I just add for most of us it is an emergency, we are now on life support, but friends don’t worry that is what our Savior is good at emergency situations. Because He will “Refine, He will Restore, He will Replace, He will Change, He will Sculpt you, He will Mold you He’ll even permit trials and tribulation to come into your life just to get you to the point where He can fully reveal Himself  in you.”(Bill Liversidge)

That my friends is what I call a full Makeover. But God is so good to us He is willing to do all of that free of charge. Remember YOUR MAKEOVER has already been paid for by the “Blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ on Calvary 2000 years ago. As our Savior hung on the cross He looked into the future and saw what Satan had in store for all of His Children in the  21^st century.

He saw every situation and circumstances of our lives, the trials and tribulations, the highs and lows, the deaths, and sicknesses, he saw that “lawlessness will be increased, and the love of many will grow cold” and nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and famines and earthquakes in various places. And He knew THESE ARE JUST THE BEGINNING OF BIRTH PAINS.”

“To the woman he said, “I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children.” Gen. 3:16 (ESV) So my friends we are just at the beginning OF OUR “BIRTH PAINS”our FAITH is just being tested as CANDIDATES for God’s holy kingdom God is now seeing if we are “SAFE TO SAVE” because when sin is finally eradicated from this earth my friends, there will be NO MORE SIN.

“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.” 1 Cor. 6:9-10 (ESV)

This is why we can no longer wait WE NEED A RADICAL, AND THOROUGH CHANGE IN OUR LIVES today, but remember one of God’s promises is“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” 1 Cor. 10:13

But we must have Faith in all of the promises in  God’s Word and in the transforming power of His Spirit, and ENDURE. For our FAITH will be tested, and it will be taken to the very limit where we fill we cannot go any further but my friends we

“must rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Romans 5:3-5

HOPE is knocking this very moment, for Christ “stands at the door, and knocks: if any man hear (His) voice, and open the door, (He) will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Rev. 3:20 (KJV) and that my friends is a promise that should keep us encourage each day of our life as we deliver the good news to everyone about Christ return, and Endure as we wait THROUGH THE “BIRTH PAINS” for Jesus to come and take us to our NEW HOME IN HIS KINGDOM.

SOMETIMES I JUST NEED TO FOCUS ON WHY I AM ON THIS JOURNEY!!!

“But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.” Philippians 3:20-21

“As I entered the gates of that city, My loved ones all knew me well. They took me down the streets of Heaven; such scenes were too many to tell; I saw Abraham, Jacob and Isaac Talked with Mark, and Timothy But I said, “I want to see Jesus, ‘Cause He’s the One who died for me.”

Every once and a while I need to reach back and focus on why I am on this journey. It is so easy to lose sight and forget your purpose and your destination. Sometimes you have to look at the map, and get a clear vision as you assure yourself that you haven’t lost your way, and that you are still going in the right direction.

Satan at times has us believing God’s Mandate is unattainable. But that’s when we tell ourselves. My Faith and God’s word lets me know God has my back at all times. Isaiah 48:17 (NIV) tells us.” This is what the Lord says your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.”

But struggles sometimes takes its toll on a child of God that’s why you can never lose sight of the vision of  walking with friends and love ones down the streets of Heaven, as the brightness of the Son, our Savior illuminates the eternal sky as the redeemed sings in unison Worthy is the Lamb who gave it all for our Salvation.

As I envision that scene, now the struggles of this old world become only a challenge, or a mountain worth conquering. The Journey now doesn’t seem so overwhelming the setbacks and trials are but a moment in time. God knew we would all have times when we felt like given up, but he provided His Word a road-map that would never get us lost or discourage about the route we have to take too finish the course.

Each time I read a promise in God’s Word, a promise of love and Hope I understand failure can never be an option, only endurance until we cross into the Promise Land. My friends it want be long when we will received our true reward life eternal when Christ says “it is finished” until then, this journey will demand commitments from all of God’s children.

So we must remain focused, we must also stimulate ourselves, and set higher goals, in the work of bringing more souls under the umbrella of the faith of Jesus Christ. We must forever find ways to evangelize as we take the good news of Christ return to a world that is disintegrating before our eyes each day.

“This life at best is but the Christian’s winter; and the bleak winds of winter disappointments, losses, pain, and anguish–are our lot here; but our hopes are reaching forward to the Christian’s summer, when we shall change climate, leave all the wintry blasts and fierce tempests behind, and be taken to those mansions Jesus has gone to prepare for those that love Him.(”Life Sketches of Ellen G. White, pp. 239, 240.)

Success comes from finishing the course Christ sets for us. It must be all about Him and his will. We must die in Christ daily as we continue to stay focused on the prize, life eternal through Jesus Christ who gave it all for us. Friends remember the controversy and battle has been fought and won on Calvary, and it will also be won once our death to self and resurrection of a new life in Jesus Christ takes place as we now begin to carry the  cross for Christ.

But we must also endure while allowing the Holy Spirit and God’s Word too  keep us focused and moving forward. For it can only be our faith and the power of the Cross that gives us the strength to finish this course. As we become “more than conquerors through him who loves us.”

My Friends Where is Your Focus Today?

FOCUS: Wikipedia, describes the word as selectively concentrating on one aspect of the environment while ignoring other things, the Free Dictionary describe FOCUS: As a point at which rays of light or other radiation converge or from which they appear to diverge, also called focal point. “As we begin to focus on our Salvation, the transforming power of the Holy Spirit will begin to take shape before our eyes.”

As a Christian our Focal Point should always be Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. Nothing else should define This Race or journey that each of us are on. It doesn’t matter about our politics, Religious Denominations, Ethnicity, social status, or your sexual orientation. The only thing that matters, when each of us stand’s before God is what was our Relationships with Christ, while we were here on this earth.

And did we allow Our Lord and Savior and His Spirit to transform our character to be like Christ. So as a Child of God we can never lose our focus, or direction where Christ is leading, as we Study his Word, and seek His Spirit. My friends if our focus, and our Faith Holds as we Endure to the end of this journey, eternity, and Gods pure and holy kingdom will soon be ours.

Have you ever wondered why a pigeon walks so funny? According to an article in the Detroit Free Press, a pigeon walks the way it does so it can see where it’s going. Because it can’t adjust its focus as it moves, the pigeon actually has to bring its head to a complete stop between steps in order to refocus. This is the way it walks: head forward, stop; head back, stop!

In our spiritual walk with the Lord we have the same problem as the pigeon. We have a hard time seeing while we’re moving. We also need to stop between steps to refocus on where we are in relation to the World and the will of God. Our walk with the Lord needs to have built into it a pattern of “stops,” which enable us to see more clearly before moving on.

Paul tells us in Colossians 3:2 (NKJV) “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. He also tells us in Colossians 2:6 -8 (NKJV) “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”

When we as Christians remain Focused we then surrender our all to the Master. And once that happens it all becomes about trusting and having faith in a God, that has done it all for our Salvation. “Totally Surrendering and given it all to the Master is not the most outstanding way to live, it is the only way to live,” If we want to make heaven our home.

Nothing else should mattes as a Christians. Because all other pathways will only lead to resentment, defeat, and in the end destruction. Hebrews 12:2 (KJV) says “fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith…..” So if our Goal is the kingdom of God, then we must forever keep our focus on Christ and what it will take to be like Him. “Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.”1 John 2:6 (NIV)

Paul also tells us. “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Gal. 2:20 (NIV) So By Surrendering to God, it takes the focus off of self, and what we may want, and places it upon the blood of Jesus Christ.

God is asking a lot, that cross can get quite heavy at times. The Spirit has been designated to give us all of our needs and more to finish God’s work, but you must decide is it worth it?  yes my friends Salvation and eternal life is worth it. but that must be your decision God will not make it for you.

 THE BEST OF THE BEST, THE THREE AND THE THIRTY 

“Remember your leaders who taught you the word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and follow the example of their faith.” Heb. 13:7

My friends if you are a child of God, you must have a vision, a vision to make extraordinary things happen for Christ which can only happen if you have allowed the same spirit that was a part of creation before man was created, to transforms an ordinary man and woman that has been “born in sin and shaped in iniquity” to be an extraordinary  leader for Christ in the war against sin.

Satan has devised many weapons that communicates to the masses of what his world has to offer. But as a leader in God’s army we must present a vision of a contrasting message to the masses as well of God’s world, a world “what no eye has seen, or ear has heard, and no human mind has conceived.”  therefore God’s passion to save souls, must be our passion as well.

David exemplifies this type of leader, a leader with such passion, a leader “after God’s on heart” “David’s Special Forces: Josheb-basshebeth the Tahkemonite was head of the Three; he was nicknamed Adino the Eznite because he killed 800 men in a single battle engagement.”2 Samuel 23:8 (NIV) That text says it all because that text tells us “If you abide in God, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” John 15:7 (NIV)

This is where I need you to focus today my friends. David understood that promise that is how he could inspired a vision in Adino the Eznite, which led him to seek  the same power from above as David possessed as he killed 800 men in a single battle. As God’s Children we can also seek such power from God’s Spirit.

But first we must have a cause, and we must also have the passion of Adino the Eznite,  and once we have this power we  must use it, not in the killing of 800 men for Christ. But in the saving of souls for God’s pure and holy kingdom as we take the good news of the “gospel to all the world and then the end will come” David’s “Elite Special Forces.”

THE BEST OF THE BEST, THE THREE AND THE THIRTY who did miraculous wonders on the battle field for Christ. Like their leader who had exemplified this same passion from His youth with only a stone and a sling shot. “a man after God’s on heart  lead by Example as He made Extraordinary things happen for God. His vision inspired others to serve Christ because of his commitment to serve.

My friends we must also set the example, we can’t serve Christ sitting on our couches in front of the TV. David  practiced what he preach he always lead by example, who would get personally involved.  When the Philistines were at war again with Israel, David and his servants with him went down and fought against the Philistines; and David grew faint.

Then Ishbi-Benob, who was one of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose bronze spear was three hundred shekels, who was bearing a new sword, thought he could kill David. But Abishai the son of Zeruiah came to his aid, and struck the Philistine and killed him. Then the men of David swore to him, saying, “You shall go out no more with us to battle, lest you quench the lamp of Israel.” 2 samuel 21:15 -17 (NIV)

David ways a man no different from the rest of us, but he spent time with God even as a boy keeping his fathers sheep, as he seeked the presence of God. A leader, a warrior, a man after Gods own heart, and a humble servant for God “The humble He guides in justice And the humble He teaches His way. All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth, To such as keep His covenant and His testimonies. Ps. 25:9-10 (NIV) and seeks His presence with passion.
