BREAKING NEWS! THE BLOOD OF JESUS, IT WILL NEVER LOOSE ITS POWER TO SAVE!!
“And from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood.” Rev. (1:5 ESV)
“The first reference in the New Testament to the blood of Christ, Christ states Himself at the last supper: ” For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” Matt. 26:28 (NKJV).
“There are at least 43 references to the blood of Christ in the New Testament, all testifying to its great importance in the salvation and daily life of the believer.” Judas the betrayer spoke of it as “innocent blood”
“Then Judas, who betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, I have sinned in that I betrayed innocent blood.” Matt. 27:4 (ASV)
Peter tells us it’s “precious” in 1 Peter 1:19 (ASV) “But with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, even the blood of Christ ” Paul calls it the purchasing blood in Acts 20:28 (ASV) Take heed unto yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit hath made you bishops, to feed the church of the Lord which he purchased with his own blood.”
Paul also calls it the redeeming blood in Eph. 1:7 (ASV) “in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,” John calls it the cleansing blood. 1 John 1:7 (ASV) “ but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
Consistent with this, “There is a stream that flows from Calvary, A crimson tide so deep and wide. It washes whiter than the purest snow.” Its saving virtues ever are the same, It cleanseth still, and always will. Poor sinners who will seek the Savior’s face Shall know His wondrous grace. No other fountain can for sin atone But Jesus’ blood, O precious flood! And whosoever will may plunge therein, And be made free from sin.”
My friends as the Master takes full control in the transformation of our Character, as He eliminates the dirt and mire that has accumulated throughout the years, it is only the blood of Christ that purifies, only his blood that saves and redeems us from the penalty of sin.
“But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,” Rom 5:20 (ASV) In addition, that text tells each of us that was “born in sin and shaped in iniquity” that we cannot out sin the grace of God, so no matter how far the god of this world has taken us, God’s hand can reach just as far to save us, as He places us on a straight course to life eternal.
“The last reference in the Bible to the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ tells us “And they overcame Him [or Satan] by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Rev. 12:11 (NKJV)
In this text, the blood is the overcoming blood, enabling believers to withstand the deceptions and accusations of Satan. And how does the blood and death of our Savior make the Dirt and mire of A sinner’s character A candidates for God’s pure and Holy Kingdom.
Well His death at Calvary summarizes Christ infinite love for everyone. And once we as His Children have been washed in His blood, the believer then “dies to self and lives a new life through Christ” while asking Christ “what must I do to be saved” and not my will but thou will be done”.
And each day as we purify our lives by the standard of Christ we will stay focus on what Jesus is trying to do in our lives, as we recognize that to be able to stand before our Savior one day with a pure white robe that was washed in His blood, we must have the faith, endurance and passion to maintain a close and personal relationship with Him daily, while understanding that THE BLOOD OF JESUS, IT WILL NEVER LOOSE ITS POWER TO SAVE.
So my friends today. Stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY
