MY FRIENDS, GETTING CLOSE TO GOD!!

It is not the perfect life that prepares us for the kingdom of God. On the contrary, it is the constraints and contentions, the mountains and valleys of despair and hope that advances us on our Christian journey as we continue to yield to God’s will without our own personal agenda from what we may Mark-11.23-300x224[1]think is appropriate for where God is trying to lead us.

For the only choice that has any meaning in a child of God’s life is the choice that we have made to serve God “as we walk cheerfully each day on the path in which, Grace, love, mercy, humility, faith, endurance, and God’s Providence leads.” Because, each morning God’s blessings are renewed while at the same time our commitment to serve must also be renewed daily.

I can only imagine the woman who had a chronic disability of a blood disorder for twelve years had just about given up because “she had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she [only] grew worse.” Mark 5:26 (NIV) I am sure she was self-conscious about her condition so she stayed to herself and in the house most days.

Consistent with this, most likely she was a young woman or in her late teens because Christ called her “daughter.” She had probably herd her family thand friends speak of a man from Galilee who brings sight to the blind, cast out demons and could even calm the raging sea. If only for a moment, I could be in His presence.

And then the day came and she heard Christ would be in the area. Today she would take a chance and go out into the public, today she knew her prayers would be answered because her Faith would make it happen, yes I will be healed she told herself. And then her heart sank with disappointment when she saw the great crowd that thronged about Christ. She was so close, but yet so far away. “If I could only touched his garment, I know I would be healed.”

But that meant crawling on the disgusting filth and debris on the ground. But I must allow my faith and hope to be extended, if need be, “only to touch the hem of His garment.” My friends, sometimes that defines our life “the disgusting filth” and debris that lies within our heart that has accumulated throughout our life. But today, it is not a physical journey we must take to get to Christ.

But, “If we declare with our mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be [healed spiritually].” Rom bible-with-light10:9 (NIV) My friends, it’s only through our faith and endurance that will allow us to overcome any and all situations and circumstances in our life that are not in accordance to God’s Providence and the direction He is leading. So, that makes it a mental and spiritual challenge.

That’s why the power from within to make decisions in our life based on Gods will for our life can only come from His Spirit and word that gives us the passion and desire to do God’s will and to have that personal relationship that tells Him daily, “I will never leave nor forsake” the plans You have  made for my life. Plans that gives each of us a future and hope that will last throughout eternity.

MY FRIENDS, WHO ARE WE ALLOWING TO DEFINE OUR DESTINY?

Dec 15, 2020

MY FRIENDS, WHO ARE WE ALLOWING TO DEFINE OUR DESTINY?

Satan forever the strategist, knows his days are numbered so he does everything he can to keep God’s people from responding to a total commitment thto thus saith the Lord as he defines our destiny as, “he disguises temptation and sin by dressing them alluringly. He hides greed and selfishness underneath the golden-threaded silk of materialistic well-being.

He uses the soft green velvet of self-esteem to cover envy and jealousy. He cloaks lust and immorality in the scarlet satin of false love. He arranges the purple [fabric] of supposedly justifiable indignation in such a way that it makes hate and anger appear acceptable. He clothes cowardly fear of what others will think in the sunny yellow [draperies] of self-deception.

And Satan hides doubt and despair beneath the royal blue [finely crinkled silk] of false-intelligence. But someday soon the fires of judgment will expose the cover-up. The holocaust of divine revelation will burn away the glamorous outer coverings that cloak our favorite sins. Then nothing will be left but the charred remnants of blackened character.” ( Leo R.Van Dolson, A Call to Revival)

Searching the internet, I came across a picture of a tree burning from the inside as the 677outside stayed in-tack, which I’m sure the entire structure eventually turned into ashes. I then begin to think of a child of God’s life that refuses to die to self daily, while allowing God’s Spirit to take total control of our Character.

Friends, if we don’t have that connection to the source of our salvation while “laying aside every weight, and sin which doth so easily beset us,” we will be consumed from the inside and one day when God says it’s finished, the “fires of judgement will expose the cover up and nothing will remain but our charred remains” of what could have been if we would have just given our heart to Christ and developed a personal relationship with Him.

God’s word says, Be sober, be vigilant; because our adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 1 Peter 5:8 (KJV) “Then He called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.” Luke 9:2 (KJV) My friends, Judas who lived in the presence of God for three years was one of the twelve.

But, Judas still betrayed Christ for thirty pieces of silver. “He hides greed and selfishness underneath the golden-threaded silk of materialistic well-being.” maxresdefaultDavid, a man after God’s on heart, “from the roof saw a beautiful woman bathing. He then sent someone to find out about her.

“She’s  Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite, they told David.” Then David sent messengers to get her. She came, and he slept with her.” 1 Sam. 11:2-4 (NIV) “He cloaks lust and immorality in the scarlet satin of false love.” My friends, bible characters are only images of who we are and how we respond to Christ love grace and mercy in any, and all situations of our life.

And how we respond will determine our destination,” either we will serve Satan and travel that wide road that leads to “charred remnants of a blackened character” and destruction, this road many will travel. Or, we will follow Christ and travel that narrow road with only a few, but the only road that leads to life-eternal.

MY FRIENDS, THERE IS A PEACE IN BELIEVING!!

Nov. 27, 2020

MY FRIENDS, THERE IS A PEACE IN BELIEVING!!

Second-Coming-of-Jesus_iconSatan’s strategy is to keep God’s children infatuated with the chaos that surrounds us daily. But, if our desire is Salvation from the penalty of our transgressions, then our focus must forever be on “the Lord Himself descending from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: as the dead in Christ rise first: Then we, [we meaning ourselves and others must have some desire or a peace in believing that no matter what is going on around us heaven remains our destination.

And we will not give up until we] which are alive and remain are caught up together with [all we hold dear to our hearts] in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we forever be with the Lord.” 1 Thess. 4:16-17 (KJV) My friends, we must also become serious about that word forever, and the nearness of when forever will start.

Which means we must move away from the greed and selfishness that lies “underneath the golden-threaded silk of materialistic” things that thconsumes us daily and focus on the peace in Believing that Heaven is not a fairy-tale or a fable but a real place that gives us peace in believing “eye hath not seen [this place], nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” 1 Cor 2:9 (KJV)

But in-order to receive that peace there must also be a passion that consumes us daily as to what God’s will is for our life which can only be found in God’s word as we allow His Spirit to guide us in all truth and understanding. ‘These are the names of the mighty men in David’s army: Adino the Eznite: he lifted up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.

And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines that were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away: He arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the Lord wrought a great victory that day” 2 Sam. 23:8-10 (KJV)

My friends, we must also become mighty men and women in the army of God. The same power that wrought a great victory with David’s mighty men can also wrought a great victory over the enemy in our lives and the lives of all we proclaim the good news to. These mighty men recognize the power that 5a5739be8cb391fa5a9a7ded479de312-300x213was within a stone in a boys hand that killed Goliath. And that same power, they believed could wrought a great victory if they had peace in believing.

So today we must recognize the power that defeated Satan at Calvary and rose again so that we my live throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity in God’s pure and holy Kingdom. And “when we must carry our cross “while going through great tribulation, and through our affliction our robes are washed and made white in the blood of the Lamb.” Rev. 7:14 (KJV)

That is when, Power and grace will say it is finished and then Peace and Victory will tell His faithful well done good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord” Matt 25:21 (KJV)

MY FRIENDS, HAVE WE LOST OUR FOCUS AND LINGERED TO LONG?

Nov. 25, 2020

MY FRIENDS, HAVE WE LOST OUR FOCUS AND LINGERED TO LONG?

Whatever we have gained in this world, “we must count as loss for the sake of Christ. More than that, we must count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord, for whom we have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that we may gain thChrist.” Phil 3:7-8 (NASB) My friends, can we stay focus and humbly surrender our all to Christ?

Or what are we willing to give up in exchange for the “surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord” a joy that nothing in this world has ever or will ever be equaled to? Or what good is it for [you and I] to gain the whole world, yet forfeit [our] soul, because Christ timing for a commitment has caught us at a bad time along with His standard of character for His kingdom, because we are unwilling to allow God’s Spirit to transform our character into the image of Christ?

Transformation requires a committed heart that is willing to “suffer the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that we may gain Christ.” All things being our time, talents, finances and a committed heart. Along with, all things being, not our will but God’s will daily. My friends, we must understand “the agencies of evil are combining their forces and consolidating. They are strengthening for the last great crisis.

Great changes are soon to take place in our world, and the final movements will be rapid ones. “The enemy has succeeded in perverting justice and in filling men’s hearts with the desire for selfish gain…… “Justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.” Isaiah 59:14. (KJV) In [our] great cities there are multitudes living in poverty and wretchedness, [as the world along with ourselves are consumed with our on selfish desires] (E.G. White, Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 9, pp 11)

My friends, we are part of this world, but, what part are “we willing to give up in exchange for the “surpassing value of knowing Christ,” along with a committed heart to serve our neighbor? It’s very hard to take our focus off of this world and give our life totally to Christ, as we commit with passion His will for us. Remember “we cannot serve two masters.”

“When the morning dawned, the angels urged Lot to hurry, saying, “Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumedlot-flees-sodom-300x196 in the punishment of the city.” And while he lingered…..Gen 19 (NKJV) Those three words are the tragedy of the narrative of Lot and his family. Family-members inside the city although he tried he could not save them because they had lingered to long and had become consumed by their surroundings and not by God’s will.

Even His wife’s heart was consumed with the things of Sodom and that is where she remained, with the lost. Lot the patriarch and provider of the family, also did not come to terms with the fact that he had lingered to long, but because of the grace and mercy of a loving God, he along with his two daughters were saved. As God’s chosen have we lost focus and lingered to long. Christ will soon return to take His faithful who have endured to our new home. But has this world become more appealing, so we linger.

MY FRIENDS, HOW LONG HALT YE BETWEEN TWO OPINIONS?

MY FRIENDS, HOW LONG HALT YE BETWEEN TWO OPINIONS?

“How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.” 1 Kings 18:21 (KJV)

godhead-3-the-doctrine-of-trinity-2-638“Not one in that vast assembly dare reveal loyalty to Jehovah. Like a dark cloud, deception and blindness had overspread Israel. Not all at once had this fatal apostasy closed about them, but gradually, as from time to time they had failed to heed the words of warning and reproof that the Lord sent them. Each departure from right-doing, each refusal to repent, had deepened their guilt and driven them farther from Heaven. And now, in this crisis, they persisted in refusing to take their stand for God.” (E.G. White, Prophets and Kings: p 147)

My friends, but gradually, or little by little or maybe in small increments, however we care to define the situation, it happen over time. That dark cloud of deception and blindness had overtaken Israel and it will also be our downfall if we fail to heed the words of warning that “Babylon the great is fallen and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!

For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the ab6e5f1d8638fa60b255af31171b314dmerchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.” Rev. 18:2-3 (NKJV) My friends, there is a contamination of impurity that the angel of God is warning us to flee from.

Even the appearance of evil we must escape. There must be a total transformation of mind, body and soul though Gods word and Spirit. Jer. 51:6 (NIV) tells us to “Flee from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be destroyed because of her sins. It is time for the LORD’s vengeance; he will repay her what she deserves.”

My friends, the world has “been arraigned before the bar of divine justice and found guilty on five counts starting with (a) pride and arrogance (b) materialism and luxury (c) adultery (d) deception and (e) persecution of individuals based on their membership in a religious, ethnic, social, or racial classes” (SDA Bible Commentary). God’s long suffering is about to end, today it must become personal between God and ourselves. So, “How long halt ye between two opinions?

If the Lord be God, follow him: but if [the things, and god of this world seems more appealing] then [our Savior has allowed us to make that choice rich11-300x205and follow Satan.] But if we choose God, than our Salvation is based on a total commitment to Christ and our faith and endurance to go all the way with cross in hand. Therefore, “if any man [or woman] will come after me, let him deny self, and take up his [or her] cross daily, and follow me.” Luke 9:23 (JKV)

My friends, not to deny self daily, then Satan little by little does the transformation. Therefore, Christ warns us to “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad and easy to travel is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss, and there are many who enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to [everlasting] life, and there are few who find it.” Matt. 7:13-14 (AMP) So, “How long halt ye between two opinions?

MY FRIENDS, A COMPLETE RESTORATION, IS IT POSSIBLE?

MY FRIENDS, A COMPLETE RESTORATION, IS IT POSSIBLE?

The greatest victories to the church of Christ or to the individual Christian are not those that are gained by talent or education, by wealth or the favor thof men. They are those victories that are gained in the audience chamber with God, when earnest, agonizing faith lays hold upon the mighty arm of power. Those who are unwilling to forsake every sin and to seek earnestly for God’s blessing, will not obtain it. But all who will lay hold of God’s promises as did Jacob, and be as earnest and persevering as he was, will succeed as he succeeded.” (E.G. White, Patriarchs and Prophets p 203)

My friends, “we must count our life of no value to our-self, so that we may finish our course and the ministry we received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.” Acts 20:24 (NKJV) In addition, the battle will be fought and won through our death to self and resurrection of a new life in Jesus Christ as we carry our own cross as a disciple and follower of God’s will for our life that will one day lead to life eternal.

Therefore, we must never be complacent about Satan’s power and begin to “conform to our surroundings” here on earth. A London businessmanth Lindsay Clegg tells the story of a warehouse property he was selling. The building had been empty for months and needed repairs. Vandals had damaged the doors, smashed the windows, and strewn trash around the interior.

As he showed a prospective buyer the property. Clegg took pains to say that he would replace the broken windows, bring in a crew to correct any structural damage, and clean out the garbage. “Forget about the repairs,” the buyer said. “When I buy this place, I’m going to build something completely different.

I don’t want the building; I want the site.” And friends, that is the restoration and renewal God has planned for our lives for that is what Calvary was all about, our efforts to improve our own lives are insignificant, because everything must go. A complete restoration must take place and restored into the image of who God is and where He is leading us.

In Jer. 29:11 (KJV) God states, “I know the thoughts that I think towards you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, [and through My word and Spirit give you] an expected end, [in My pure and holy kingdom.]” My friends, the good news is God loves each of us supremely and wants the very best for us. Remember, after Adam and his wife sinned against God, “hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.

psalm_23_31[1]And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?” Gen. 3:8-9 (KJV) Oh, what a God, no matter how far we have moved away from His presence, His response is, “Where art thou”? The bad news is we all have a natural propensity to ignore God’s voice because restoration requires self to die daily as we begin to live our life in the image of Christ and His will to make the necessary changes for a commitment.

Therefore, restoration requires “we count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus our Lord: for whom we [must] suffer the loss of all things, counting them but dung, that we may [be restored into the image of Christ].” Phil. 3:8 (KJV)

MY FRIENDS, WHERE WILL WE STAND IN THE CHAOS WHEN GOD SAYS IT IS FINISHED?

MY FRIENDS, WHERE WILL WE STAND IN THE CHAOS WHEN GOD SAYS IT IS FINISHED?

thWashington (CNN)Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker said that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Defense Secretary James Mattis and White House Chief of Staff John Kelly “help separate our country from chaos.” “And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.” Rev 7:1-3 (KJV)

My friends, only one thing separates us from chaos and He commands “the four angels that stand on the four corners of the earth carrying-the-cross-300x200holding back the four winds of the earth. And He is able to do this because He is the One who “created the heavens and the earth, The sea and all that is in them….Ps. 146:6 (NASB) These four angels surround our world, holding back the “principalities, and the powers and the rulers of the darkness of this world.”

And this occurs, while God’s Spirit prepares His faithful to commit to God’s will as we carry our cross, a symbol of discipleship and now as disciples we are “persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Rom. 8:38-30 (KJV)

And when the sealing of God’s people is complete, God will say “it is finished.” “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.” Rev. 22:11 (KJV) And for a season the four winds will be let loose along with the “fierce winds of human passion.”

“The earth, sea, and trees emphasize the universal nature of the threatened destruction.” Consistent with this, there will be a time of “Choas (pressure, images7distress, oppression), that has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will [again]. And if those days [of chaos] had not been cut short, no human life would be saved; but for the sake of the elect (God’s chosen ones) those days will be shortened.” Matt. 24:21-22 (AMP)

But, God’s elect, heirs to His kingdom, joint heirs with His Son are sealed, we have come through the time of chaos that “has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will [again.]”  And now “we are more than conquerors,” and we are sealed. Sealed being “the pure mark of truth, the mark of God’s approval, and a sign of His authority. And now our Character is just like Christ “ (SDA, commentary p 782)

And what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when He appears we shall be like Him, because we shall see him as he is.” 1 John 3:2 (ESV) My friends, where will we stand when the faithful is sealed and God say’s “it is finish?”

MY FRIENDS, ON OUR KNEES IS WHERE WE CONQUER THE ENEMY

Oct. 6, 2017

MY FRIENDS, ON OUR KNEES IS WHERE WE CONQUER THE ENEMY

imgres“All these things will I give thee, [is Satan’s offer, one that most cannot refuse,] if thou wilt [only] fall down and worship me.” Matt. 4:9 (KJV) At that point God’s faithful must seek diligently “the author and finisher of our faith,” while on our knees where the plans and partitions of our life are worked out through God’s Spirit.

And when other “people, nations, and languages are commanded, to bow down, and worship” “the one who saith in his heart I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God…… I will be like the most High”[We must not yield] Is 14:12-14 (KJV)

Remember my friends, to bow down means annihilation one day, but for a moment we can have it all. But like the three Hebrew boys we must receive power on our knees and through our faith stand up to the principalities, and powers, and the rulers of the darkness of this world and say “our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the things of this world that are temporary, if we believe.

As Christ sentinels, we must be forever watching for the enemies attack as we keep our eyes focus above least we fall while sleeping and dfbb3e1ebcb14aed125a5056053b25871-300x297yield to temptation. Remember, it was at Gethsemane Christ tells His Disciples “why are you sleeping?” “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: for the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matt. 26:41 (NIV)

And it was at Gethsemane on Christ knees is where He fought His last battle before Calvary and won. Satan is a strangest, who for six thousand years has gathered in His sieve the life of all who claims to be a child of God but, who have not figured out it is “not flesh and blood we struggle with” but “against Satan’s powerful and evil forces in the heavenly realms.”

Therefore, Satan encourages us to not study the word of God or diligently “pray and seek Gods presence daily as he Satan stalks and conquers. Remember, it is the lack of our prayers that “sets our minds on self and what self wants and thinks we need, and not on what was done for you and I at Calvary so that we my have eternal e5828867c0fb1edb1c14804554f2a1e0life and have it more abundantly throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity.

Satan first sifts all who are weak gently in His sieve then violently back and forth as the storm of our life intensifies,” and our faith weakens and the price for a commitment becomes to high, we then turn our backs on God. But soon, Christ will “come like a thief in the night, and we will not know at what time.”

Therefore, “we must have a deep, and earnest sense of our needs as we feel our weaknesses and our dependence upon God, [as we go before the throne of His grace with a  contrite and broken heart and] a petition of “perfect submission [and then] “every desire must be brought into harmony with the will of God, and His will must be done in us.” (E.G. White Prevailing Prayer)

And then we must cry out Lord “not my will but thy will be done” For Gods promises tells us, “I know the thoughts that I think toward you,…Thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end,” and friends, that end will be [life-eternal] Jer. 29:11 (KJV)

MY FRIENDS, IS YOUR CALLING AND ELECTION SURE?

Oct. 1, 2017

MY FRIENDS, IS YOUR CALLING AND ELECTION SURE?

Men and women, “give diligence to make your calling and election sure: For if you do these things, [we] will never stumble, and [we] will receive a rich thwelcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 1:10-11 (NIV) My friends, we must understand that “Christ calls and elects” and then through His love and unmerited favor He stands at the door of our heart and encourages you and I to “confirm.” Remember, “every soul is elected who will work out his own salvation with fear and trembling.

[All are] elected who will put on the armor and fight the good fight of faith. [all are] elected who will watch unto prayer, who will search the Scriptures, and flee from temptation. [And] who will have faith continually, and will be obedient to every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. The provisions of redemption are free to all; the results of redemption will be enjoyed by those who have complied with the conditions.” (E.G. White: Patriarchs and Prophets, p 208)

My friends, God is trying to pull us closer and closer to reality as we look beyond today and focus where we are headed as individuals on this journey Wrestling-with-God-600x350-300x175as we “press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called [you and I] heavenward in Christ Jesus” Phil. 3:14 (NIV) It has become very personal like Jacob at times we must have an encounter with God because each day our problems moves up in a designated weight class.

And as we get older the main event always gets more and more dramatic, the trials more precise, Problems, situations, the injustice of life, a disobedient child, a drunkard husband, being diagnosed with cancer, the list goes on. So remember, Christ has already called but how do we confirm while at the same time hope seems to be fading.

Remember, like Jacob we are going up against the great I Am, so there must be daily preparation because the call has gone out but we cannot press on toward the goal to win the prize just “having a form of godliness but denying its power.” Or Like Goliath who went into the ring with the Lord’s Anointed with only a “sword, a spear and a javelin.”

My friends, we must be prepared to endure through faith and God’s Spirit until God gives us the victory because even though we have been called it blessed-hope-jesus-return-4_n1-300x198may come a time when the presence of God is veiled from our face, and it will only be our faith, endurance and the promises of God that we have constantly studied in His word that will give us the strength to continue through the night like Jacob.

And One day soon we will be able to say we saw God face to face and it was our daily encounter with God that allowed us to “confirm” when daybreak comes and the Son of God Himself descends from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ rises first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds and then we will hear,“Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” Matt. 25:23 (KJV), Thess. 4:16-17 (KJV)
