WHEN WILL GOD’S CHILDREN KNOW THAT WE ARE TRULY FREE?
“The slave is a portion of his master’s goods and chattels. If he is fed, he is fed as his property; if he is clothed, he is clothed as his master’s property…..In proof of this take the fact—the damning fact— that in several of the states of America IT IS MADE PUNISHABLE WITH DEATH TO TEACH A SLAVE TO SPELL THE NAME OF THE GOD WHO MADE HIM. ” (Somerset County Gazette, September 5, 1846.)
My friends, the horrors of slavery? Read a slaves prayer below, close your eyes and ask what would my prayer be if all was taken, except my faith in the God I serve as your “focus [is forever] on things above, [and] not on things on this earth” Col. 3:2 (PSV)
Keep your eyes closed, cry out in total admonition to your only hope for freedom “Lord what must I do to be saved.” In addition, “Lord not my will but thou will be done.”
A slaves Prayer, for all who seek total FREEDOM. “Father, I stretch my hand to thee–for no other help I know. Oh my rose of Sharon, my shelter in the time of storm. My prince of peace, my hope in this harsh land. We bow before you this morning to thank you for watching over us and taking care of us.
This morning you touched us and brought us out of the land of slumber, gave us another day–thank you Jesus. We realize that 
many that talked as we now talked, this morning when their names were called, they failed to answer. Their voices were hushed up in death.
Their souls had taken a flight and gone back to the God that gave it, but not so with us. We are thankful the sheet we covered with, was not our winding sheet, and the bed we slept on was not our cooling board. You spared us and gave us one more chance to pray.
And Father, before we go further, we want to pause and thank you for forgiving our sins. Forgive all our wrong doings. We don’t deserve it, but you lengthened out the briskly threads of our lives and gave us another chance to pray, and Lord for this we thank you…..
Now Lord, when I’ve come to the end of my journey, when praying days are done and time for me shall be no more; when these knees have bowed for the last time, when I too, like all others must come in off the battlefield of life, when I’m through being ‘buked and scorned, I pray for a home in glory.
When I come down to the river of Jordan, hold the river still and let your servant cross over during a calm down. Father, I’ll be looking for that land where Job said the wicked would cease from troubling us and our weary souls would be at rest;
over there where a thousand years is but a day in eternity, where I’ll meet with loved ones and where I can sing praises to thee; and we can say with the saints of old, Free at Last, Free at Last, thank God almighty, I am free at last. Your servant’s prayer for Christ sake. Amen!”
WHEN WILL WE KNOW THAT WE ARE TRULY FREE in a world where sin abounds like never before? My friends “BREAKING NEWS” Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,……….And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” 2 Thess. 2:3-8 (HKJV)
But if God is your Master and you continue to allow His Spirit to transform you into the Character of Christ as you endure this 
old world as you seek God’s presence while taking the good news of the gospel to all.
Then soon!! Ten thousand times thousands and thousands of angels will come from above singing the freedom song “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD ALMIGHTY” along with “…the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.” Mark 14:62 (NIV) TOO GET HIS CHILDREN, WHO BECAME FREE, BY THE BLOOD OF OUR SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.
So my friends today. Stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY
