MY FRIENDS, HAVE YOU EVER TRIED TO IMAGINE LIFE IF CHRIST WASN’T THERE?
Quicksand, is usually a deep pool of sandy goo which blends in with its surroundings and if we get caught in it, having no help to get us out, then everything we try to do only allows the sand to just keep dragging its victim slowly underneath as they sink deeper and deeper.
That my friends is the results of sin. First, we totally lose our focus and wander into this abyss of sin because we simply never grasped onto the loving arms of Christ who will lead the sinner out of the sinking sand of sin if our desire is to be saved.
Remember, sin forces us to go as far as possible until we are completely submerged, feeling we have no way of escape. Sin will always take us farther than we ever thought we would go, as it slowly takes control of our mind and body.
In addition, each day that our eyes are not focused on the Master. Sin will always make our stay much longer than we ever intended. By allowing Satan one moment of our time, while never becoming aware of the plea’s of God’s Holy Spirit and the saving power of the cross, our stay becomes a lasting one.
Satan’s stronghold over us begins when we give Satan permission to enter our lives through disobedience to Gods laws of love. Now we must ask the question, what would life be like if Christ wasn’t there?
I ask that question because if we are constantly submerging we deprived ourselves of that personal sensation of God’s Spirit and Christ outstretched hand that seeks us to follow Him. In other words, it becomes so easy to submerge ourselves in front of the TV for hours instead of God’s word.
Or submerge ourselves in a daily dose of gossip, just to name a few. Sin becomes a natural way of living our life. But today we must look at our “breaking news” of the day and tell ourselves. Christ is closer than ever before and it’s time we eliminate “every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us.
While running with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith” Heb. 11:1-2 (NKJV) and once we have allowed God’s Spirit total control then we can ask ourselves, what would life be like if Christ wasn’t there?
Because our life and how we live after a total transformation compared to before become obvious because we are no longer slaves to sin and it’s final results which is death. My friends, by our choice and only our choice we allow Satan to become our master, and not God.
And God will never overrule our will. But our Salvation is so important to God. John 1:12 (KJV) tells us “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, He gave the right to become children of God.”
My friends, think about our on Children, how important are there lives to us and how much more then the one who gave His only begotten Son, and a Son who gave it all for our Salvation. As children of God and believers in Jesus Christ and Him crucified, we have the power through Christ to take authority over the enemy.
And it happens the moment we call out the Savior’s name as Peter. “When he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him. Matt 14:30-31 (KJV) And then we can say with no reservation, imagine life if Christ wasn’t there?
Every excuse we may give as the reason we cannot serve Christ, was challenged and answered at Calvary.
