MY FRIENDS, DO WITH HIM AS YOU PLEASE, ONLY SPARE HIS LIFE!!
Torment him, disappoint him, afflict him, devastate him, and break him. “Do with him as you please.” Lie on him, dishonor him, persecute him, and handicap him. “Do with him as you please.” Embarrass him, ridicule him, expose him and shame him.
“Do with him as you please. Sour his relationship, compromise his finances, ruin his reputation, and destroy his health. “Do with him as you please.” In case you did not get it, God is giving Satan His permission to do to us as he pleases in this diabolical quest to make us dishonor our God and accuse him falsely” (Fred Pullins)
My friends, trying to make sense out of God’s way. If only for the fact that we all need some understanding of why God would allow such tragedy to befall his servant Job, as Satan is lured in Job 1:8 (NIV).
“Have you considered My servant Job, there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?” Now Satan sees an opening for him to finally attack a servant of the Most High God so he responds with delight, knowing Job’s defenses will no longer be a hindrance to him.
His response is “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”
And with no reservation at testing Job’s faith to the limit God says “Do with him as you please, only spare his life.” Job 2:6-8 (TLB) Chilling at just the thought. Friends, that text tells us trying to look at this narrative from God’s point of view is futile in our finite minds.
So, how strong a child of God must be today, as the realization of Christ soon return becomes more of a reality in our generation to have God say “do with him or her as you please. Only spare their life.”
My friends, our Faith and endurance must prepare us “for such a time” while also taking up our cross as chosen vessel’s and faithful servants who God can tell the god of this world.
“Have you considered my faithful servant below….who has such a blameless and upright character whose steps have been ordered by the blood of the lamb, who fears God, shuns evil and is forever serving Me on the front lines of the battle field?”
One “who will not be tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;.” Eph. 4:14 (KJV) My friends, as terrifying as the thought may seem at times, there is no other way.
And, no matter how we try and justify why we are just not prepared, the alternative, the dreams, the hopes and our salvation will be lost with no hope of ever entering that place prepared for the redeemed in God’s kingdom, if we are not prepared through God’s word and Spirit to finish this journey.
So today my friends, we must build a level of faith that takes us beyond anywhere we have ever been before that prepares His elect for any and all trials and tribulation, “such has never been, not even since the beginning of the world until this time.”
Every excuse we may give as the reason we cannot serve Christ, was challenged and answered at Calvary.
