MY FRIENDS, HOW MUCH ARE WE WORTH ON THE OPEN MARKET?

For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ”Romans 5:7-8 (NKJV)

My friends, have you sat down lately and looked back over this journey Christ has placed us on and said to yourself why? How much could we possibly be worth on the open market? In my research, I found out some startling facts.

If we added up all of the chemical elements on the periodic table, including some gold, silver, copper and aluminum among the 60 or so elements that are in our bodies, it adds up to about $160.00.

I guess you could add a few more dollars if you include “athletic ability, education level, income, amount of exercise, weight, and sense of humor.” So now we ask, what does God see in a stubborn, wretched sinner whose worth is only $160,00?

In addition, why are we so special in His eyes, someone who is only worth such a small amount on the open market?  And why does He find us worthy enough to do all He did and continues to do for us? I guess we can ask God once we get to His kingdom, but then my friends, it want matter.

So today the most important thing we must understand is that we were worth saving and a high price was paid for our Salvation. Consistent with that, God Himself, gave his only begotten Son and a Son who gave it all up to die on a cruel cross so that all who believe may be saved and receive life eternal.

“You thought I was worth saving So you came in changed my life, You thought I was worth keeping so you cleaned me up inside, You thought I was to die for so you sacrificed your life So I could be free So I could be whole So I could tell everyone I know” (Anthony Brown & group therapy – Worth)

My friends, the most important words of that song is “So I could tell everyone I know” that Jesus saves. So we must give Him all the praise, glory and honor as we cry out, please Lord Just fill me up with your “Spirit until we just overflow with your love, grace, mercy and power.

In addition, we will never stopping praising His name until we can see our Savior face to face and hear those words “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!” Matt. 25:23 (NIV)

So now it becomes personal, we must start a movement of one from within that cries out Lord “If you provide the fire, I’ll provide the sacrifice,” as you pour out your Spirit as I open up and allow His power to overflow from within.”

And it will run until a light shines from above through me to a dying world and then, they will also know that “There is no greater love” than the one who died for their sins and not only did He die, but if they will allow Him to, a total transformation of their character will take place.

Yes we do serve a risen Savior and He is in the world today and we know this because He lives within our heart. But there must be a passion that drives us to give our all for the Good Shepherd who paid such a high price for us.

So friends stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY
