“A NEW HEART WILL I GIVE YOU AND A NEW SPIRIT WILL I PUT WITHIN YOU”
“I WILL TAKE AWAY THE STONY HEART OUT OF YOUR FLESH AND GIVE YOU A HEART OF FLESH. And I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall heed My ordinances and do them. And you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and you shall be My people, and I will be your God.” Ezekiel 36:26-29 (AMP)
“The serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” Gen 3:4-5 (NKJV)
Evil enters the world through the serpent who now claims to be the god of this world and through his limited power mankind begins to lean more towards evil, as the desire for evil in one’s heart becomes prominent.
Consistent with this, sin moves rapidly with Cain killing Abel and eventually evil becoming the dominant factor in one’s heart to the point that “the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. Gen. 6:5-6 (NKJV)
The Psalmist states “Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my
mother conceived me.” Ps. 51:5 (KJV) The desires of the heart, lead by the god of this world is the force that compels man to do what is evil in His heart.
Paul tells us; “We know that the Law is spiritual; but I am a creature of the flesh [carnal, unspiritual], having been sold into slavery under [the control of] sin. For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled, bewildered]. I do not practice or accomplish what I wish, but I do the very thing that I loathe [which my moral instinct condemns]. Romans 7:14-15 (AMP)
My friends an abomination towards God is deeply rooted in the heart and only a miracle from within can change our characters and bring about a spiritual victory as God takes a sinner like you and I and transforms our life from being the wretched sinner who loves evil, but through Christ love, grace and mercy now recognizes and believes through our faith in the cross and His word that the transforming power on Calvary absolutely and without any doubt saves us from the road to destruction and the penalty of evil that the god of this world instigates.
As self dies daily and God’s Word transforms, He gives His Chosen generation “A NEW HEART AND SPIRIT FROM WITHIN that is purified by the blood of Christ who tells us in Matt. 12:34-35 (NKJV) Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.”
As a child of God we must never assume that we can “LEAN ON OUR OWN UNDERSTANDING” without God totally controlling our life. “Listen! A farmer went out to sow seeds and while he was scattering the seed and as he was sowing, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Other seed [of the same kind] fell on ground full of rocks, where it had not much soil; and at once it sprang up, because it had no depth of soil” Mark 4:3-5 (AMP)
“And so the seed from within endures for a little while; then when trouble or persecution arises on account of the Word, they immediately are offended (become displeased, indignant, resentful) and they stumble and fall away.” [which can only happen if a Child of God has not generated a firm foundation from the saving power of Christ Mark 4:16-17 (AMP)
So today my friends let’s allow the Spirit to transform our Character into the character of Christ as He gives His Children A NEW HEART AND SPIRIT that is purified and sanctified by the blood of Christ who died on the cross for all sinners.
So my friends today. Stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY
