MY FRIENDS, WHY IS GOD SO VIOLENT?
Now Timna was the concubine of Eliphaz, Esau’s son, and she bore Amalek to Eliphaz. These were the sons of Adah, Esau’s wife” Gen 36:12 (NKJV) Then Balaam looked over toward the people of Amalek and delivered this message: “Amalek was the greatest of nations, but its destiny is destruction!.” Numbers 24:20 (NLT) God brought Israel out of Egypt, providing all their needs but they continue to distrust God as He lead them towards the promise land.
And because of their constant murmuring after witnessing plagues fall on the Egyptians and not His chosen, watching the red sea part as they walk across only to be a grave to the Egyptians. He then allowed them to be attacked by their Enemies who they had this long running feud that started between two brothers Jacob and Esau.
And between their descendants the Amalekites and the Israelite’s which represents good and Evil. In addition, what we need to understand, this long running feud started in heaven, between Michael and his angels who fought with… the dragon and his angels but, Satan did not prevail, nor was a place found for them anymore in heaven.
So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world….was cast to [this] earth, [along with 1/3 of the angels]” Rev 7:9 (NKJV) Satan’s Plan is that God’s children never get to that place “Eye have not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man” [That place Satan will never see again.] Cor. 2:9 (NKJV)
In Deut. 25:17-19 (NKJV) God tells Moses “Remember what Amalek did to you as you came out of Egypt, how he attacked you….when you were faint and weary, and cut off your tail, those who were lagging behind you, he did not fear God.
Therefore when the Lord your God has given you rest from all your enemies around you, in the land that the Lord your God is giving you…..you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven; you shall not forget.” My friends, Amalekites descendants had 400 years to know God. The same amount of time Israel was in bondage.
But they refused. So, when Saul became king, Amalek’s descendants probationary period had run out, another 400 years had passed. Saul is told, “I remember what Amalek did, [ambushing] Israel when they came up from Egypt. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare [nothing]; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.” 1 Samuel 15:2-3 (KJV)
“The forbearance that God has exercised toward the wicked, emboldens men in transgression but their punishment will be none the less certain and terrible for being long delayed.” (White) “I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live.” Ez. 33:11 (NASB)
My friends, Calvary says God has no respecter of person. We are all equal at the foot of the cross but we must understand man has been given 6,000 years and now our probationary period is about up and because of God’s love grace and mercy He will make sure “affliction will not rise up a second time, [and all who trusted God to lead, and gave Him our all as He guided us through His word and Spirit into the promise land above to live throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity, will realize, yes, sin will never arise again]” Nahum 1:9 (KJV)
