A Discussion on the “FORGOTTEN GOD” By Francis Chan (Part Vl)

The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. John 14:17

My friends THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH is in each of us. What an AWE INSPIRING feeling, my GOD dwells within His Faithful, through His Spirit. In John chapters 14-16  He tell us. I will go and prepare a place for my faithful children, and I will return to take them back home with Me.

He speaks of Him and His father being as one “he that hath seen me hath seen the Father” then in verse 12 and 13 Christ tells us “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, and the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And WHATEVER YOU ASK IN MY NAME, THAT I WILL DO, THAT THE FATHER MAY BE GLORIFIED IN THE SON.

My friends what this verse is telling His chosen is, once we Have allowed the Spirit to transform our lives into the image of Christ. What we ask, and  pray for should only be to glorify God. Transformation requires self to die.

So we must ask ourselves, how can my house glorify God, how can my car glorify God, how can my marriage glorify God, and how can my job glorify God, and how can my time glorify God. Christ knows soon His JOURNEY on earth will be complete. He will no longer be EMMANUEL, God among us.

He has given up that privilege just for our Salvation, and through our faith and endurance a home in His kingdom one day. But once Christ did pay the price for our sins on Calvary. The plan for our salvation had to continue, so their must remain a God among us. so the plan was completed, God among us became the Holy Spirit.

Then Jesus tells us in verses 15-16 “IF YOU LOVE ME, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS. And I will pray to the Father, and He will give you another COMFORTER, that He may abide with you forever, the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you COMFORTLESS I WILL COME TO YOU.”

My friends, the awesome plan of redemption ONE COMFORTER LEAVES to mediate on our behalf before the Father because he has walk where each of us has walk only with out sin. AND ANOTHER IS SENT BY THE FATHER TO REPLACE HIM so God’s children will never be without Emanuel “God among us.

Now let’s FOCUS on the words IF YOU LOVE ME, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS. My friends Christ now tells us, if you seek with PASSION the FATHER, and if you seek with PASSION EMMANUEL, and if you seek with PASSION the OUTPOURING of God’s Spirit then you will KEEP GOD”S COMMANDMENTS and study God’s Word.

In verse 26 Jesus tells us “the COMFORTER He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance which are in God’s WORD. Then we go to Chapter 15 verse 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, BEARS MUCH FRUIT; for without Me you can do nothing.”

My friends God has chosen us, His FAITHFUL Children To represent Him as we spread the good news of the gospel. IF WE ARE GODS CHOSEN OUR PLANS CANNOT BE OUR ON “Many plans are in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand. Proverbs 19: 21

Then in chapter 16 verse 8-11 He speaks of The COMFORTER reproving the world of SIN, and RIGHTEOUSNESS and of JUDGEMENT, because Of SIN, because they BELIEVE NOT ON ME; Of RIGHTEOUSNESS, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of JUDGEMENT, because the prince of this world is JUDGED. But my friends the good news for His children is “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit: Romans 8:1

So my friends today. Stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY
