MY FRIENDS, IT’S PERSONAL, I WILL OFFER UP A SACRIFICE CONTINUALLY!!
As we look over our life, what does God really mean to you? And where has he brought you from? And what is your final destination? As you focus on your answers remind yourself of the high cost that was paid for our Salvation.
And the only thing that God ask in return is a sincere and contrite heart that has been transformed into His Character as we “offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually.” As God’s faithful, a Sacrifice of praise is “the surrender or destruction of something prized or desirable continually, for the sake of something considered as having a higher or more pressing claim.”
But, we have become so accustomed to making it all about self and our desires and what we want and what will make us happy, we fail to realize there is one having a higher or more pressing claim on our will and what our responsibilities are.
And the one I speak of, gave his only begotten Son and a Son who gave it all so that “we may have life, and that [we] may have it more abundantly” here on this earth and throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity.
Our “sacrifice of praise to God” is a personal relationship. “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” Gal 2:20 (KJV)
My friends, that verse tells us it is I who sacrifices continually and it is I who lives in the presence of God continually as I give Him my time, talents, money, and most of all my heart, and body.
In addition, as we take on the Character and image of Christ we become light bearers for him as we offer up our “sacrifice of praise to God continually” throughout this world, which we are only given back to Christ what He personally gave to you and I on Calvary which was the opportunity to conquer death as He did.
And then it becomes personal again. For “I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!”Ps. 34:1-3 (KJV)
My friends “There’s a place in heaven prepared for us when the toils of this life is over where the saints are clothed in white Before the throne singing praises forever, forever more”
It sounds good, but, the toils of this life is not over, our faith and endurance are still being tested to see if we are “safe to save.” And soon my friends, This journey on earth will end and God will say “it is finished” But while there is still daylight and God’s presence is still manifested in a world where the light of His Spirit grows dimmer each day.
As God’s chosen and ambassadors of His Word, we must tell the world “God will swallow up death one day in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall He take away from off all the earth” Isaiah 25:8-9 (NKJV)
As we enter that place “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Cor. 2:9 (NKJV)
So friends stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY
