PROMISES, PROMISES, PROMISES, AND MORE PROMISES!!!
“Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, to your descendants I will give this land.” Genesis 12:7 “For all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.………”Genesis 13:15-16 “To your descendants I have given this land….” Genesis 15:18 ”
And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant………” Genesis 17:7-9
“Then the Lord appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamre,….And He said, “I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son…..Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing……
And Sarah laughed within herself…… Then The Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Shall I indeed bear a child, now that I am old?’ IS ANYTHING TO HARD FOR THE LORD? Gen 18:1-14
Finally after 25 years when the Lord first appeared to Abraham to tell him of His PROMISE about the good news OF THE GOSPEL IN HIS GENERATION. I have a feeling a lot of us would have laughed as Sarah. It had been years since God had first appeared to Abraham establishing a covenant that would lead to the birth of the PROMISED Savior.
Finally IT’S TIME, but way beyond the years of childbearing for a women. IS THIS POSSIBLE. My friends God’s Word says it is, SO I BELIEVE IT. like every PROMISE in God’s Word that His Spirit reveals to us. FAITH, PATIENCE, ENDURANCE are the main ingredients needed for any of God’s children in all situations and circumstances in our lives to finish this journey God has put us on.
MY FRIENDS IS THERE ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR THE LORD? No not if we follow the example of Abraham, and stand on GOD’S WORD and Spirit, and remain FAITHFUL. Every PROMISE will be fulfilled but on GOD’S TIME, not ours.
And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had spoken. For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. Gen 21:1-2 “my friends “do not forget this one thing.
“That with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promises” As we look at our world today the first thing that should be on our agenda is to SHOW FORTH THE PRAISES OF HIM WHO THROUGH HIS GRACE AND MERCY SAVED HIS CHILDREN FROM THE ROAD TO PERDITION THAT each of us were on.
Remember you are a “Chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; God hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light; because of that there is a covenant between God and His Chosen. Our life must be all about Him.
Paul tells us in Colossians 3:2 – Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” When we as Christians remain Focused, that is when we surrender our all to the Master. And once that happens it all becomes about trusting and having faith in God, and His Spirit who has done it all for our Salvation.
Yes my friends totally surrendering, if we are to make heaven our home. Because nothing else matters as a Christians, all other pathways only lead to resentment, defeat and in the end destruction.
My friends the good news of the gospel is for all the world who seeks hope where there is none. And it is also for his children, because it is a reminder of his promise of Salvation, and eternal life if we believe. It has been 2000 years since the defeat of Satan at Calvary when Christ said IT IS FINISHED.
We are now on the threshold of Christ return, and the reward He brings with Him for the redeemed. “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And for His Chosen “He will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury.” Romans 2:6-8
So my friends today. Stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY
