MY FRIENDS, WHAT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO THE LESS FORTUNATE AND THOSE WHO HAVE LOST HOPE?
He rides in a small car. He is a living example of who Christ was when He lived among us. Who am I to judge the Pope says for “we have all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God? His humility is all inspiring, as he goes out and serves, giving hope to those who have lost hope.
In addition, everything he does, he does as a pastor as a leader as a man of God, he challenges and inspires others to serve and take the good news out into the community. This is how the media has been reporting about one man, not a church or a congregation, but the Pope.
Now we have to make it personal. Between September 22-25, in the year 2015, in the USA, the Pope is doing all what we as God’s chosen, who seeks His kingdom should be doing. Sodom, was destroyed because of their pride, and their excess of food while the poor and needy suffered.
The bible maintains a clear position on the poor throughout its pages, and, interestingly, “it has less to do with them, than it has to do with us and how we treat the poor,” and less fortunate. Deut. 15:11 (KJV) says There will always be the poor in the land.
Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land…” Proverbs 21:13 (NKJV) My friends, the most powerful examples from Christ when He lived among us was to help those in need and to serve.
As Christians, our eternal destiny is shaped by how we treat others. We will not enter God’s kingdom, from church attendance, or how much tithe or charitable organizations we supported. Christ tells us “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.
This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31 (NKJV) As Children of God we must love and Care for others as Christ loved.
Even when it is not motivated by our community, Church, or government. It must become personal, therefore this message is not for the world or the “fool who says in his heart, “There is no God.” For they are corrupt, their deeds are vile ”Ps. 14:1 (NIV)
This message is for each of God’s chosen whose destiny is His pure and holy kingdom. For the “The Spirit of the Lord is upon [us], because he has anointed [us] to bring good news to the poor. He has sent [us] to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed ” Luke 4:18 (NKJV)
And once we as Christians have taken care of one’s physical and mental needs it will be easy to lead them to the love of Christ, because they already see Christ in us. So as the world moves farther away from what their responsibility is to Christ.
Let’s ask ourselves how can we as a Christian keep from “conforming to the pattern of this world. Simple answer my friends each day we must say “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Gal 2:20 (NKJV)
