MY FRIENDS, ARE WE REFUSING TO LET GOD MINISTER TO US?
Its personal today my friends so let’s ask our-self if we need to know God’s plan for our life what must we do? The answer is simple. “Get in the spirit, and let the Lord minister to you. Because once you go there, God will show you some things and He will reveal some things that a child of God needs to know. In addition, He will show you and I how to look at our troubles and walk right through them. And while we are in the spirit, God will also change some things in us, and He will explain some things and He will even rearranged some things in our life.
Consistent with this, while we are in the Spirit, God will even get rid of those “socially acceptable sins” that needed to go so that we “might have life, and have it more abundantly” through Him. And at times even while in the Spirit we may seem like we are “breaking under the weight of it all,” but, it is at that point we must fall down on our knees, and cry out Lord, I fill empty but I am willing to stay in the Spirit through the “breaking news and the noise of this world so I can hear your voice tell me which way to go.
Once again my friends, God knows the “plans He has for our future,” but we must get in the spirit, and let the Lord minister to us.” (Donald Lawrence & Tri-City Singers, Let The Lord Minister To You paraphrased) Focus today my friends on the words “let the Lord minister to you.” And if that is our focus we must also understand as the Lord ministers to us, it will also require a commitment on our part which eliminates self.
And once that is accomplished, even through the noise of this world we can hear the Lord explain some things that is required for our salvation as He rearranges some things in our life that will make us “safe to save.” And I can say with no reservation that anything else in our life besides Christ ministering to us we can “account as loss,” or “dung,” because the one who gave it all at Calvary for us, our Creator and Advocate is the one who is doing the rearranging so nothing else should be said or matter except “not my will but God’s will be done.”
But it starts with us stepping out in faith and letting Christ guide us as He places within us through His Spirit the power to finish up His work in our life time. “In the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.” Acts 2:17 (KJV)
But Unless we are daily advancing in an active process of Christian virtues and allowing self to die daily as our faith is tested, we shall never be able to recognize the “manifestations of God’s Spirit” when it becomes available. Many all around us may be receiving this power, but when our faith was tested, we continually failed because the world received our time, talents and money instead of God.
So today let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, [as we] look unto Jesus, the author, finisher [and minister] of our faith” Heb. 12:1-2 (NKJV)
