MY FRIENDS “WHO IS SLENDER MAN?”
“Two 12-year-old girls are facing attempted murder charges for allegedly stabbing another girl 19 times in the woods in Waukesha, Wisconsin; police say they were trying to please an online demonic creature called “SLENDER MAN.”
From Wikipedia; “The SLENDER MAN is a fictional character that has now gone viral, originated as an Internet meme created by Something Awful forums user Eric Knudsen (a.k.a. “Victor Surge”) in 2009 with the goal of editing photographs to contain supernatural entities.
SLENDER MAN depicts a thin, unnaturally tall man with a blank and usually featureless face, wearing a black suit. Stories of the Slender Man commonly feature him stalking, abducting, or traumatizing people, particularly children. The SLENDER MAN is not confined to a single narrative, but appears in many disparate works of fiction, mostly composed online.”
My friends every generation creates its own ghouls, goblins and monsters from Lon Chaney’s Wolf Man, to Freddy Krueger Nightmare on Elm Street film series, too Jason Voorhees Friday the 13th series, to today’s SLENDER MAN. So now our original question WHO IS SLENDER MAN?
Peter tells us in in 1 Peter 5:8 (ESV) To “be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a 
roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” My friends Satan starts his diabolical plots to control the mind from the time we are born,” Ps. 51:5 (NKJV) states “I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me.”
As a Child of God we must never forget Satan’s only goal is to lead all who are willing to be lead to perdition “By whatever means necessary.” So we must begin to make our children a priority because today’s information highway is not Parent friendly, so now you have Satan becoming the baby sitter, while the forces of evil regulates our children’s entertainment.
So as parents, grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, big brothers and sisters or just a concerned neighbor who has decided to follow God’s mandate in finishing up His work. My friends it must become personal. Five very dear friends of mine decided to travel hundreds of miles and take 11 Grand kids from ages 5 to 17 to a 10 day camp meeting in Alabama where Christian activities and programs are not only centered around grown ups but the young as well.
Oh what dedication to the Salvation of a love one and next year they have decided to double the amount of family members they take. That my friends makes it personal not only for your salvation but the salvation of others a priority. How we spend our time and resources can no longer be about what we want.
Each day we must be “crucified with Christ and [we can] no longer live, but Christ [must] live in [us if our focus is on God’s kingdom so]. The life [we] now live in the body, [we] live by faith in the Son of God, who loved [each of us] and gave himself for [our salvation].” Gal 2:20 (NIV) My friends we must begin to find innovative ways of placing the armor of God around our young people in the 21st century.
In addition, at an early age they must understand that the “Boogie Man” is real but He is also not someone we invite into our lives and homes. “Slenderman is a pure product of electronic media.” He appears in places grown ups rarely frequent anymore, but go back my friends to the abandoned, crumbling buildings, the deep woods and playground with the rickety steel jungle gyms and slides we all experienced as a kid, times has changed.
Play grounds and outdoor activities are now all wrapped up into the internet, TV and all the games Satan has created for the X Box and PlayStation. the history 
and methodology of Satan has not changed over 6,000 years since he decided “…..I will make myself like the Most High.” Is. 14:14 (NIV) and he will continue until Christ descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. 1 Thess. 4:16-17 (ESV)
So now we know ‘SLENDER MAN is just Satan recycled into one of his many disguises in his attempt to destroy. So friends stay prayed up, keep your focus on the cross while making Salvation a personal experience as we continue to ask “not my will Lord, but thou will?”
So my friends today. Stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY
