MY FRIENDS IS IT I OR THE CHURCH?
First: I have accepted the concept of helping the needed “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” On top of that, I keep all the commandments:
I Do not commit adultery, I Do not murder, I Do not steal, I Do not bear false witness, and I Honor my parents “yes I have kept All these things from my youth.” Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” When the young man heard this, he went away sad…” Matt 19:21-22 (NIV)
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” Matt.7:21 (NIV) That my friends is a warning from Jesus Christ Himself. In addition We as Christians first must recognize The Laodicea church in Rev. 3 represents our church today.
But we must make it Personnel for it is not the Church but I being one person, who just so happen to be a member of a body of believers. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 (NKJV) There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone [meaning I] are the same God at work.” If I allow him to carry out His will in my life.
That text tells me my God is not coming back for a church but for the faithful that have “been crucified with Christ. [and who no longer allows self to live, but only Jesus Christ who lives in you and I]. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Gal 2:20 (ESV)
It is not the church that has lost it’s significance and savor, to a dying world. Because the church is only a place of occupancy where we go once a week to socialize and catch up. My friends it will be I who must appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that I may receive what is due [me] for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” 2 Cor. 5:10 (NIV)
If our desire is to be a part of God’s Kingdom we must seek daily a burning passion and a desire to be in the Presence of Christ each day. Paul tells each of us in Colossians 2:6 -8 (NIV) “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”
As God’s chosen we must continue His ministry as one and as a faith base body of believers with a fire that burns within our mind and body as we become witnesses to the world and to everyone we may come in contact with each day. This Passion for serving Christ starts with studying and digesting the Word of God. As Jeremiah tells us in Jeremiah 15:16 (NKJV) “When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.”
In addition, Romans 10:17 tells us So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. So It all starts with the Word of God, and a continuous digesting of its precepts. And a wiliness to allow God’s Spirit to transform. God also gives a wonderful promise to the Laodicea Church “To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.” Rev 21:3 (NIV)
So my friends today. Stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY
