ROMANS 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
“I AM NOT ASHAME OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST.” And we as Christians need never to be ashamed of our Christian faith because of God’s promises in Romans 5:5 “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”
Romans 10:11 also says For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame” In this text Paul is asking us to go deep within and search diligently your heart and soul if you claim to be a child of God, then ask yourself, “AM I ASHAMED of the Gospel of Christ? Do my friends, relatives, love one’s, co-workers, know you are a soldier in the army of God?
Does the world know that you proclaim Calvary in all you do and say each day? And, do you tell others about the transforming power of Christ that took place in your life, and if so, are they also willing to allow the Master to transform there lives? When is the last time you spoke to someone about the saving grace of Jesus Christ and him crucified?
Or when was the last time you passed out a tract proclaiming the name of Christ? Was it today, yesterday, last week, or perhaps a month ago, or maybe A year ago, or maybe, it has never crossed your mind. My friends, as Christians, we are recipients of the good news of Jesus soon return, but the Gospel is not for the Saved, but the lost generation who are seeking a sign.
In Matthew 12:39 it says An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign. In the 21st Century the good new’s of the gospel is the sign the world looks for. friends history tells us millions of martyrs died for this same gospel many of you are ASHAME to proclaim. Most were not some skilled competent, pastor, or eloquent professional in the area of the Bible, or Hebrew philosophy.
But the good news of the gospel was mostly proclaimed by the common man or woman who experienced the transforming power of the holy Spirit in there lives, and just wanted to proclaim this good news of what Christ had done, and was doing in there lives, as they were sinking deep in sin. When His Love and grace, not wanting them to perish, brought them to safety.
What a wonderful message to proclaim as you begin to tell how our loving Savior lifted you up and brought you to Safety in His loving, caring and merciful arms. if you are willing to give it all for the Master the Bible will speak for itself through Gods Spirit. Because there is power in the Word!
David, declared in Psalms 31:1, “In Thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ASHAMED: deliver me in Thy righteousness.” And the Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 10:9-11, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believe-th unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture saith, Whosoever believe-th on Him SHALL NOT BE ASHAMED.”
If you are ASHAMED of the good news of Jesus Christ then you have not allowed God’s Spirit to make a complete transformation in your Character. But when you proclaim the Gospel to the world, It enables you to have A life changing conversion, and also, whoever accepts this good news message, and applies it in there lives,
while allowing the power of God’s grace to place them on A pathway to Calvary and salvation. As Christians we sometimes try and live in our own strength as we begin to rationalize within our minds why we are not able to be torch bearers for the kingdom of God. So with that attitude, Satan now has rendered us powerless, and weak.
But Paul tells us “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” So my friends today do you stand up and stand out for the Master? Are you A bold believer with A heartfelt passion to proclaim His name.
Do you stand like Paul and say, “I’m not ASHAMED of the gospel of Christ.” We put the cross of gold around our necks, but that same cross represent our Savior’s path and crucifixion on Calvary. along with the persecution of thousands of Christian martyr’s who were killed by stoning, crucifixion, burning at the stake,
eaten by lions in a arena for public amusement, and many many other forms of torture and capital punishment, man through the influence of the forces of evil could come up with. Jesus went to Calvary as A common criminal. the gospel that we so love and cherish today in our various churches was identified with a poor Jewish carpenter.
Who died not for the sins of all mankind, but Jesus was brought before Pilate to be punished. According to God’s word. The Jewish leaders accused Jesus of CLAIMING to be the king of the Jews, which is how they perceived their awaited Messiah.
“We found this man subverting our nation, forbidding us to pay the tribute tax to Caesar and claiming that he himself is Christ, a king” (Luke 23:2) then The Jewish leaders replied, “We have a law, and according to our law he ought to die, because he claimed to be the Son of God!” (John 19:7)
So my Friends, The question I have for you today is, are you still Crucifying our Savior today by being ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL. Remember the secret to every Christian’s success in his or her mandate from God, will be found in the harmonious and daily working of all Christians along with the Holy Spirit, As we take the “Gospel of the kingdom throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then “THE END WILL COME.”
So friends stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY
