MY FRIENDS, IF WE OBEY, WE WILL BELONG TO GOD FROM AMONG ALL NATIONS!!

002-joshua-jordan“When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God,………you are to move out from your positions and follow it. Then you will know which way to go, ….” Joshua 3:1-4 (KJV) This was directions given to the Israelite’s new leader, Joshua who replaced Moses in leading the children of Israel to the promise land.

Joshua was chosen, because he had been this same way forty years earlier as he stood at the threshold of the promise land, only to be denied entrance because the Faithless multitude had refused to focus on where God had brought them from and where He was leading them too. But how does one forget the plagues God places on Egypt in an attempt to show them, there is only one God?

And that one God is the “Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” Rev. 22:13 (KJV)  How does one forget the parting of the waters at the red sea? And how does one forget the food of angels from heaven, and water from a mountain for thirst? How could one ever forget the breathtaking power of God at Mt Sinai?

And God’s personal Message, from Moses for God’s chosen people “Say this to the house of Jacob and tell the people of Israel: ‘You have seen whatChoose-this-day I did to the Egyptians, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself. Now then, if you will obey My voice and keep My agreement, you will belong to Me from among all nations. For all the earth is Mine. You will be to Me a nation of religious leaders, a holy nation.

My friends, that message has not changed for His chosen in the twenty-first century for “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV) In addition, He continues to carry us on eagles wings as He brings us to Him and if we will obey His voice and keep His agreement, we will belong to Him from among all nations.” if we believe.

For the blessings of God are “new every morning.” So now it becomes personal; Life, health. Food, clothing, friends, family and the love of companionship are all renewed each day my friends, “for Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of lights [the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens], in whom there is no variation [no rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [for He is perfect and never changes]. James 1:17 (AMP)

imgresBut we must understand that our Savior seeks a personal relationship, so He continues to knock at our heart individually even when “we have lost our direction, He becomes the compass for our way back to Him, He is the fire and light when nights are long and cold. In sadness, He is the laughter that shatters all our fears” So we must never become complacent and forget He is the one that gave it all for our salvation.

He is the center of our joy and happiness for all that’s good and perfect in this world and the world to come. And it all comes from Him who made heaven and earth, and all we have to do is believe” that He has established the plans and thoughts for [His children as we continue this Journey He has placed us on to the promise land], “plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, but plans to give us a future and a hope.” Jer. 29:11 (AMP)

MY FRIENDS, “IF ONLY WE TOUCH THE HEM OF HIS GARMENT, WILL WE BE MADE WHOLE.”

March 6, 2016

MY FRIENDS, “IF ONLY WE TOUCH THE HEM OF HIS GARMENT, WILL WE BE MADE WHOLE.”

jesushealing“If only I may touch the hem of his garment I shall be made whole”  [of placing other gods before the true God, of making gods out of things, of taking the lords name in vain, of not keeping the Sabbath day holy, of not honoring our mothers and fathers, of killing, of committing adultery, of stealing, of lying, of covertness.] Matt. 9:21 (NKJV) Our record wiped clean with only a touch of His garment, or will it be.

1 John 3:19-20 (AMP) tells us “By this we will know [without any doubt] that we are of the truth, and will assure our heart and quiet our conscience before Him whenever our heart convicts us [in guilt]; for God is greater than our heart and He knows all things [nothing is hidden from Him because we are in His hands].”

My friends that text tells us God sees the deep abyss of our heart for “nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” Heb. 4:13 (NIV) “Then the Lord sent Nathan to David. And he came to him, and said to him: “There were two men in one city, one rich and the other poor.

The rich man had exceedingly many flocks and herds. But the poor man had nothing, except one little ewe lamb which he had bought and nourished; stdas0216and it grew up together with him and with his children. It ate of his own food and drank from his own cup and lay in his bosom; and it was like a daughter to him.

And a traveler came to the rich man, who refused to take from his own flock and from his own herd to prepare one for the wayfaring man who had come to him; but he took the poor man’s lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him.” So David’s anger was greatly aroused against the man, and he said to Nathan, “As the Lord lives, the man who has done this shall surely die!

And he shall restore fourfold for the lamb, because he did this thing and because he had no pity.” Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! 2 Sam. 12:1-7 (NKJV) Covertness, lying, stealing another man’s wife, killing the husband in an attempt to cover up his adultery with the mans wife and her pregnancy. My friends all of this intrigue and suspense from “a man after Gods on heart”

Do you think it would have made a difference If  David had only touched the hem of Christ garment, then he would have been made whole and his sins eradicated. My friends, our accountability to God must go beyond a touch of Christ garment. It’s personal and as a child of God and heirs to His kingdom and joint heirs with His Son we must look beyond a simple touch.

images33We must focus on our Saviors soon return and our accountability as to why, or why we did not allow God’s Spirit to make a complete transformation of our character while we lived on this earth. Paul tells us “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ. [Even the woman with the issue of blood that touched the hem of Christ garment and was healed must] receive what is due her for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5:10 (NKJV)

My friends grace still abounds as we stand on the mountain-top and look over into the promise land. We must now ask ourselves through our faith and endurance, will we be able to say one day, our robes have been washed and made white in the blood of the Lamb.

MY FRIENDS, ARE WE PREPARED TO PRESS TOWARDS THE GOAL FOR THE PRIZE?

MY FRIENDS, ARE WE PREPARED TO PRESS TOWARDS THE GOAL FOR THE PRIZE?

philippians3_14“I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore, let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you.” Phil 3:14-15 (NKJV) My friends, we must realize our Journey is a personal experience. Paul states, “I, press toward the goal.”

And nothing of this world must hinder that driving force or passion from within as we keep our eyes fixed on the prize and if we have matured as a Christian we must not get weary we must understand the steadfast love [and grace] of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; [our victories through our faith and endurance] are new every morning; Lam 3:22-23 (ESV)

So we must continually advance forward with our eyes on the prize. In 2 Kings 18,19 Hezekiah the son of Ahaz, king of Judah, was twenty-five years old when he became king. And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord as he “pressed toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God,” he begin to removed all the foreign gods that were set up throughout Judah.

So Hezekiah “held fast to the Lord; he did not depart from following Him, but kept His commandments,” But as Children of God we must remember as we press toward our prize, Satan looks at God’s faithful as a prize also which he marks for perdition. So he attempts to separate us from the love and grace of God and at times we become weak and forget “our power is made perfect in weakness.”

So God at times must bring our attention back to who God is and where He is leading. The Assyrian army begins to conquer Judah’s territory, Hezekiah feels he can stop their advancements with money and material things. But friends, Satan goal is our total destruction, and the deeper in sin we get the more of God’s character is removed until we are completely destroyed. The Assyrian representatives then speak directly to the people.

“Hear the word of the great king, of Assyria!……‘Do not listen to Hezekiah or allow him to deceive you, by saying, “The Lord will deliver us.” Has any of the gods of the nations at all delivered its land from the hand of the king of Assyria? “Then Hezekiah prayed before the Lord, He understood like we should, that Satan’s battles against God’s children are battles against God Himself.

“O Lord God of Israel, the One who dwells between the cherubim, You are God, You alone, “ Hezekiah then reveals his petition to God, his request warrior1becomes all about bringing glory and honor to God’s name, “O Lord our God, I pray, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the Lord God, You alone.”

And then “on a certain night the angel of the Lord went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand;” My friends, not our battles but God’s and “when we press onward in this Christian race” God will reveal to us His will if we will only endure and have faith for God’s Spirit will guide us into all truth;….and He will tell [God’s faithful] things to come.” John 16:13 (NKJV) As we understand, we can never look back at past failures, but continue to move forward as we “press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus as He prepares us for life eternal.

MY FRIENDS, HOW HARD IS IT TO HEAR GOD’S VOICE?

March 4, 2016

MY FRIENDS, HOW HARD IS IT TO HEAR GOD’S VOICE?

My friends, the imgres11privileged  of Gods actual voice would be one word away from the Lord responding to us as we respond to our children. But Is it possible for a Child of God to actually hear an all knowing, all powerful, Omnipresence Being.

Christ tells us Himself “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” John 10:27 (NKJV) Acts 4:13 (KJV) gives a narrative of two of God’s disciples who lived in the very presence of Christ for three years. “When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.?”

So to be in the very presence of God gives us a distinctive quality or character that tells the world “that we serve a risen Savior,” and He lives within us, and we hear His voice through His word and Spirit, and because of our faith and endurance He is always there. And we won’t go back, to the way it used to be Before God’s presence transformed our life.

My friends, I can only tell you because of my faith, and that is, to hear the voice of God, we must ask God’s Spirit to give us a clear and precisedreamstime_4732909-300x199 understanding of what that would mean to our salvation as God leads us personally in the direction He wants us to go? Learning to clearly distinguish God’s voice as the prophets of old would probably guarantee most of the world an easy path to Gods kingdom.

But God seeks a personal relationship that tells Him and the world, that we will carry our own cross because of what the cross Christ carried to Calvary means to our salvation, and how it has transformed our lives. Samuel a prophet of God had been entrusted to the care of Eli the priest as a child. From his, bed he heard a voice calling out to him.

Twice he went to Eli and ask him if he had called, and Eli said no. On the third time the Lord called, “Samuel.” Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, “Here I am; ”Then Eli realized that the Lord was calling Samuel. So Eli told Samuel, if He calls you again, say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.’”

images29-300x167So Samuel laid down. And God speaks again and in a vision tells Samuel that he will become the voice through whom he would speak to his people.” My friends, what is God telling us today? And can we be still long enough to distinguished Gods voice from the god of this world? The more time we spend intimately with God and His Word, the easier it is to distinguish that still small voice and His leading in our lives.

“The Employees at an airport are trained to recognize counterfeit ID’s by studying genuine id’s so closely from various states, and countries, that it will be unimaginable not to recognized a fake one, simply because they have studied diligently the real from the fake.”

My friends look all around you and ask, can we distinguish the sound of God’s voice from the sound of this world as grace still abounds? And if not are we willing to seek the presence of God and listen to see where He leads? Because soon God will come for His Children and “His reward is with Him,” to give to each person who has responded to His voice.

MY FRIENDS, DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL?

March 2, 2016

MY FRIENDS, DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL?

6082_pSQHZk3vOh God, more of you and less of me, as you allow your Spirit to penetrate every pore from within as I become a living sacrifice until You “descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God I witness all who have gone before me who have died in Christ as they rise first.

And then in awe, ascending from above God’s chosen hears “the voices of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand singing worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”

And as the celestial choir sings, we “who are alive are caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall alwaysPower-of-GOspel be with the Lord.” My friends that shared vision allows each of us to catch a glimpse of Christ soon appearing. Now look within ourselves.

And now ask “what profit is it to a man [or woman] if they gain the whole world, and lose our soul? Or what will a man [or woman] give in exchange for his soul? It’s personal so focus on “Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” Heb. 12:2 (ESV)

Consistent with this, I need each of you to focus on the power of the gospel which is the story of Christ’s life, His birth, His ministry, His crucifixion and then, what gives us all hope, His resurrection and what that narrative means to each of us as a child of God. Eph. 2:8–9 (ESV) tells us “for by grace you [and I] have been saved through faith.

brothers_in_christAnd this is not our own doing; [but] it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” My friends that tells us, it is God’s grace and man’s faith and it is that faith which tells us we want to serve God with all of our heart and soul.

And each day our faith allows us to focus on Calvary and our salvation and it is that faith that allows us to be “crucified with Christ as our character then becomes transformed into the image of Christ, “and the life which [we] now live in the flesh [we] now live by the faith in the Son of God, who loved us, and gave himself for us.

And as a result of our transformation, throughput the ceaseless ages of eternity God’s plan will never be challenged again because everyone who entersimgres God’s kingdom will forever look at the cross and despite the price paid for our Salvation, we will realize we have a perfect right to be there. Forever understanding, “we are just as perfectly righteous as Christ, because though He knew no sin He permitted Himself to be made sin and suffer and die a death that we deserved”

and that my friends is incomprehensible to our finite minds while on this earth. But throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity how could we not continue to “cast our thoughts to Calvary where Jesus bled and died for you and me as we forever see His wounds, on His hands, and feet and visualize our Saviour on that cursed tree.” And realize “heaven is cheap enough”

MY FRIENDS, WHAT LIES EMBEDED WITHIN US?

March 1, 2016

MY FRIENDS, WHAT LIES EMBEDED WITHIN US?

28152-cm-new-creation-2-Corinthians-5-17-socialMy friends I would imagine a radical change has taken place in most of our lives since we have acknowledge through our faith that we are a Child of God and it is by His grace, and love that we have become a new creature. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

And with most of us having no physical signs that we had been in a war zone in spite of the battles we had encountered, while traveling, not knowing we were on a train to perdition. But now my friends, the real war begins and the controversy within us rages on. It may not be adultery, but it’s lust, it may not be stealing, but the idea of paying tithe becomes problematic at bill time.

So now we are in a danger zone which is an area of our life that becomes “high risk for harm, especially where the risk has been officially identified as an area where self and our flesh still lies embedded within us. But my friends remember, we belong to God now. We must never fill we have reached the final frontier and begin to feel fatigue and battle driven “for the battle is not ours, but God’s.”

The flesh will always have a natural inclination towards evil because we were “shapen in iniquity; and in sin did our mother conceive us.” Ps 51:5 danger_zone_logogif(KJV) So Satan waits to attack when we are at our weakest. So now its personal and our heartfelt prayers each day must be, “I have been crucified with Christ” who now abides from within, through my faith and endurance.”

In addition, we can never feel God’s armor is an optional attire, otherwise we will find ourselves completely vulnerable to Satan. In Romans 7 Paul presents his personal struggles with the flesh of the body, and how hard it is to control the rage of sin from within. For we all recognize that the law is holy and good but we are carnal from within, bound under the sin of the flesh.

And only satisfied when it is controlled by the forces of evil. So as God’s chosen, the battle rages daily so the flesh must die daily along with self as we remember our mind and body will always be weaken by outside factors if we allow them too. And in today’s society it’s usually what we watch on TV and the Internet, what we read, and listen too, where we go and who we allow into our lives.

vicPaul’s discovery as should be ours is that “every time we try to do good, evil is always present.” No matter what we want to do for the Lord especially in spreading the good news of the gospel, Satan will always present an alternative plan. But thank God for the victory over the flesh, for Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 15:56–58 (KJV) The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord our labor is not in vain.” Again, the road to the Kingdom is narrow and very few will succeed in enduring to the end if Christ is not the foundation and focal point of their lives. So let’s stay focus, as we endure through our faith in God’s word and Spirit, for Christ is coming soon, and bringing His reward, which is life eternal.
