MY FRIENDS, DO WE DOUBT BECAUSE GOD HAS NEVER REMOVED THE POSSIBILITY?

5745457_origDoubt; “to be uncertain about; consider questionable or unlikely; or hesitate to believe.” But “God never asks us to believe, without giving sufficient evidence upon which to base our faith. His existence, His character, the truthfulness of His word, are all established by testimony that appeals to our reason; and this testimony is abundant.

Yet God has never removed the possibility of doubt. Our faith must rest upon evidence, not demonstration. Those who wish to doubt will have opportunity; while those who really desire to know the truth will find plenty of evidence on which to rest their faith. (E.G. White, Steps to Christ pp 105)

So let’s first see the areas in our life where we may have doubt. Starting with the existence of God. “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being Cursing-God-478x330understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse…. Rom. 1:20-22 (NKJV)

Or maybe we have some doubt in God giving us what we ask for, because it has not happen yet. Of course Matt. 7:7-8 (NKJV) states “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he [or she] that seeketh findeth; and to [all] that knocketh it shall be opened.”

And maybe it has nothing to do with our doubt that, we receive not, but “because we ask amiss, that we may spend it on our own pleasures.” James 4:3 (NKJV) In other words, what we ask for sometimes has nothing to do with what God wants, but all about the “evil our sinful nature wants to do, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants.

RoleHSAnd the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires [and] these two forces are constantly fighting each other, so [that we] are not free to carry out our good intentions.” Gal. 5:17 (NLV)

Which is to give the glory and honor of what we ask for all to God, who is the “author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Heb 12:2 (KJV)

So my friends, the question we must ask ourselves today is, even though “God has never removed the possibility of doubt” on this journey He has placed us on, have we allowed our lack of faith to “prevail or have dominance over; or the final authority” over our relationship with God?”

In addition, what we must realize today as heirs to God’s kingdom is, if, we will allow the word of God and His Spirit, to have “Supreme power over any and all situations and circumstances of our istock_000004378490smalllife then, Jesus Himself tells us.

“Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, ……if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.” Matt. 21:21 (KJV)  So today my friends stay focus as you seek God’s presence daily while asking in heartfelt supplication “Lord not my will but thou will be done.”

And as we carry out God’s commission to all the world. He continues to prepare that place for all of His faithful who have eliminated all doubt from their life. And that place “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”1 Cor. 2:9 (KKJV)

So friends stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY
