MY FRIENDS, CAN WE JUST LET GO AND LET GOD TAKE CONTROL?
My friends, we must let go of everything that has us bound to this world “For the wages of sin is [still] death, [and] the gift of God is [still] eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Most of us have no problem staying in the middle of Chaos with never a thought of how far we have drifted from the loving arms of our Savior.
In addition, we cannot keep telling ourselves that God understands. Yes He does understand, and He also died for our sins, but He also tells us in 1 Cor. 10:13 (NKJV) “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
That text tells us That God will give us the power over all sin or a way of escape, if we give it all to Him, but we must also understand that complacency is not power over our sins, but an excuse to settle for what we really don’t want to change in our life that is not in accordance with what is not pleasing in God’s sight.
When my son was about six or seven, my wife and I placed him in a swimming program, after a few weeks of training the instructor told us, the only way he’s going to make any real progress, is to throw him in the deep end of the pool, and just let it happen.
Well I had no problem, I knew I would never let my son drown, neither would the instructor, but my wife in her mind she had to figure out how to let go, that was her baby being thrown into eleven feet of water. She eventually did, but she had to decide, I must let go in this situation, because I have confidence in the one who says it will be all right.
So my friends, we must also have confidence in the one who says, He will never leave nor forsake us. Where fear once was, faith has to reside. A radical change must take effect. No more lies, no more gossip, no more wasting of God’s time and money.
Each day we must pray for the spiritual gift of discernment, or the “ability to tell the difference between truth and error, right and wrong, good and evil, in every situation, and circumstances in our life. But we must also have a passion to seek God’s presence daily as we give His Spirit access to every area of our Character that is not justified or in line with the Character of Christ.
And now “ye are washed, and ye are sanctified, and ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Cor. 6:11 (KJV) In addition, each of our character flaws are then replaced with the fruits of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.” Gal. 5:22-23 (NKJV)
And my friends, each are a free gift from our Savior to transforms us into His Image and prepare us for His Kingdom 2 Cor. 3:18 (AMP) tells us “And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit”
So friends stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY
