MY FRIENDS, WE ARE GOD’S CHOSEN GENERATION, SO WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?
Robertson McQuilkin wrote, “God planned the strength and beauty of youth to be physical. But the strength and beauty of age is spiritual. We gradually lose the strength and beauty that is temporary so we’ll be sure to concentrate on the strength and beauty that is forever.”
And that my friends just about sums it up, as a youth coming up, life was not complicated so we took it for granted as if there was no end in sight, then one day we woke up from our dream and realized how susceptible to being wounded and hurt in this controversy between good and evil, we really were.
So then we “turned our eyes upon Jesus and Look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth [that we thought we could not do without suddenly] grew strangely dim, In the light of His glory and grace. in addition, for most baby boomers life has been a journey that has been a quandary of twist and turns like the clay in the potter hand.
“Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something on the wheel. But the vessel that he was making of clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter; so he remade it into another vessel, as it pleased the potter to make. Jer. 18:3-4 (NASB) and like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are each of our Characters in the hands of our Savior.
But thank God, the Potter continued to transform our characters, as He prepares us for the challenges that we will encounter on this Journey He has placed us on. Remember we are all a part of a larger plan, a chosen generation that our Savior has chosen “for such a time as this” right before He comes a second time.
Yes the generation that were a part of the golden age of the fifties, sixties and seventies, where moral authority and discipline disintegrated or became extent; as the marriage vows became obsolete all together; while the relaxation of censorship in books, TV, music, and the media and gay liberation became the norm.
So now we enter 2015 and the world that our generation provided the forbidden fruit that developed House wives of Atlanta, Empire, Scandal, Dancing with the stars, Kanye West, JZ, and the acceptance of marriage vows between man and man and woman and woman, God is asking us to finish His mandate.
Yes the generation that has seen it go from Luci and Ricky Ricardo sleeping in separate beds, to the level of sin like it was before the flood when God looked at the world and “saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.” Gen 6:5-6 (KJV)
So today if we accept God’s challenge to go into all the world with the good news of the gospel, we cannot allow Satan to intimidate us into thinking the millennium generation or the baby boomers or any other generation is a lost generation, because what I do know through Gods word is Jesus Christ died for all generations.
So today the challenge is for us who have come through this war and have learned to carry the entire armor of Christ because we understand more than ever before ‘that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Eph. 6:12 (NKJV) to follow Christ wherever He leads.
In addition, like our Savior we must never lose focus. Remember we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that [we] should shew forth [to all the world] the praises of him who hath called [us] out of darkness into his marvellous light. 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)
So friends stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY
