MY FRIENDS, DO YOU STAND AT THE CROSSROADS?

imgres3My friends are we at a crossroad, one that requires a choice that takes us down a path that we either want to go down, or may have some reservations in taken. As vessels chosen by God, are we at a crisis point in our lives as Christ second coming in our life becomes more of a reality than ever before.

Today let’s focus on, are we living a life, conducive to someone who really has a desire for life eternal. When Christ said “I will go and prepare a place for you, and I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” John 14:3 (KJV)

The part of that text that says and I will come back, did it ever occur to us it could actually be in our life time. So now we are at a crossroad, the decision we make today, will determine our eternal destiny.

But my friends God loves us, so it is at our crossroad when Christ personally through His Spirit tells us “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live” In addition, Satan also makes a dramatic presentation of fame and fortune.

So today as we stand at a crossroad there are two signs, one pointing to our Savior Jesus Christ and eternal life and the other is poryadok_deastvypointing towards a path bound for perdition. The choice is ours. God’s Spirit will not force us to choose life over death.

Consistent with this, God’s Word is like a mirror into our lives. As we get to our crossroad we must realize as we look into that mirror of life, how far short we have fallen from the glory and purity of God and of the high standard set for us by Christ.

Soon that crossroad will fade out of our consciousness. But many will still claim admission to Christ’s kingdom as an entitlement, a legacy that has been handed down going back several generations.

But my friends “we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” 2 Cor. 5:10 (NIV) For everyone who seeks the presence of God daily the decision is a simple one to make.

p-034-2In addition, ever child of God is like “The ten virgins [who] are watching in the evening of this earth’s history. All claim to be Christians. All have a call, a name, a lamp, and all profess to be doing God’s service.

All apparently wait for Christ’s appearing. But five are unready. Five will be found surprised, dismayed, outside the banquet hall. [if we say we really want Christ to come] We cannot be ready to meet the Lord by waking when the cry is heard, “Behold, the Bridegroom!”

And then gathering up our empty lamps to have them replenished. We cannot keep Christ apart from our lives here, and yet be fitted for His companionship in heaven.” (E.G. White Christ Object Lessons pp 413-414)

“For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of jacobs-troubleGod in the face of Jesus Christ.” 2 Cor 4:6 (ESV) My friends today God’s light shines, but it will never illuminate outside the presence of God if our daily heartfelt and sincere cry is not Lord “not my will but thou will be done.”

The novelty of a crossroad is fleeting, the political climate tells us to “choose this day whom you will serve,” The place that Christ went to prepare for us is finished, there are no more mansions to be built, no more trees to be planted and no more streets of gold to be paved.

“Michael [will soon] stand up, the great prince who standeth for the children of thy people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.” Daniel 12:1 My friends today, please give it all to the Master.

So my friends today. Stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY
