FRIENDS “WOULD YOU, COULD YOU, DIE FOR THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL?”

EXTREMIST SECTARIAN, THE FLAVOR OF THE DAY AND THE POLITICAL REALITY OF PROPHECY; Nairobi, Kenya – images“Dozens of extremists attacked a Kenyan coastal town for hours, killing those who weren’t Muslim and those who didn’t know the Somali language, officials and witnesses said Monday.

At least 48 people were killed and two hotels were set on fire. A wife gives her account of the horrifying events of the day “They came to our house at around 8 p.m. and asked us in Swahili whether we were Muslims. My husband told them we were Christians and they shot him in the head and chest,” said Anne Gathigi. (NBC News report)

This catastrophe happen four days ago June 2014, not 64 AD when the Emperor Nero set Rome on fire and accused the Christians which started the beginning of persecution and the sacrifice of hundreds of thousands of Christians who gave their lives for the Master.

Focus my friends, Christian are being killed daily in the 21st century simply because they are Christian and it happens while you are asleep, or on your way to work, or eating your meal, or relaxing in front of the TV, or just maybe you were studying the Word of God building up your faith and endurance to take up the cross of Christ.

Now place yourself in front of that same EXTREMIST SECTARIAN as they ask you point blank are you a Christian, think images37hard friends, now ask yourself what level is my faith today. Peter tells us in 1Peter 4:12-16 (NKJV) Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;

BUT REJOICE TO THE EXTENT THAT YOU PARTAKE OF CHRIST’S SUFFERINGS, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you…. yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.”

BUT REJOICE is the key, rejoice in your suffering for Christ “The Greek term for church is ekklesia. Borrowed from the secular world, it refers to “THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN CALLED OUT.” IN every generation God has called out HIS CHOSEN to reflect His will through their faith, endurance, trust, love, humility and obedience as they give it all to the Master.

Christ tells us Himself “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matt. 5:10 (KJV) But to believe God’s promises in that text we have to have a relationship with our God that places us in His presence as we allow self to die which brings our faith and endurance to a level which PERSEVERES under any situation or circumstances.

“In ancient Rome, crowds by the tens of thousands would gather in the Coliseum to watch as Christians were torn apart by wild animals. Paul Rader, commenting on his visit to this famous landmark, said, “I stood uncovered to the heavens above, where He sits for whom they gladly died, and asked myself, ‘Would I, could I, die for Him tonight to get this gospel to the ends of the earth?”

images4Rader continued, “I prayed most fervently in that Roman arena for the spirit of a martyr, and for the working of the Holy Spirit in my heart, as He worked in Paul’s heart when He brought him on his handcuffed way to Rome.” Those early Christians “lived on the threshold of heaven, within a heartbeat of home [and life eternal, with] no possessions to hold them back.” (Our Daily Bread)

My friends now ask yourself what possessions that the god of this world has placed before you holds you back and “WOULD YOU, COULD YOU, DIE FOR YOUR SAVIOR TODAY TO GET HIS GOSPEL TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH?” and if not then tell yourself  BECAUSE OF MY UNWILLINGNESS TO DIE FOR CHRIST, I HAVE NO DESIRE OR PASSION WHAT SO EVER FOR LIFE ETERNAL AND GOD’S PURE AND HOLY KINGDOM.

So my friends today. Stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY
