MY FRIENDS, THE INVITATION HAS GONE OUT, ARE WE PAYING ATTENTION?

MY FRIENDS, THE INVITATION HAS GONE OUT, ARE WE PAYING ATTENTION?

2000 years ago, Jesus Christ finished the course and defeated the enemy and now victory is His. And because of that victory, He becomes our example who set the bar for us to also 60sec17obtain victory through Him.

But we cannot lose focus. Remember, the passion of Christ became His faith, endurance, the study of the scriptures and a constant prayer life which allowed Him to remain “stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding” towards His goal which was Calvary.

So to claim victory we must also have that same passion, but with that passion comes a responsibility. “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” Luke 9:23 (NIV)

The final stretch to the finish line is in sight. So we must ask ourselves, have we made finishing the course our priority? And are we spreading the good news of Christ saving grace to our friends, family, love one’s, co-workers, neighbors and a world that has lost sight of the saving grace of our savior?

In addition, we must decide that our desire, our goals, our passion, our focus, our faith, our endurance, our prayers and the never ending study of God’s word, must never waiver 6213314_s-300x196and those attributes must always be who we are through Christ.

Also, There can never be any doubt within us that God is in control of our destiny, if we will only allow self to die. And when self-dies, like Christ, when He drew near and saw the city, He wept over it, saying, “Would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! Luke 19:41 (ESV)

My friends, nothing else should matter in 2015 except serving Christ and our Passion to tell the world “Babylon the great is fallen.” but through Christ there is peace, victory, and life eternal for everyone who believes. My friends, like Israel of old , nothing has been hid in a corner.

images27But we still have time to tell the world the things “that make for peace.” Prophecy is played out before us daily, under the disguise of “breaking news.” God has also given us a mandate. But we must ask ourselves are we carrying out that mandate? Remember, Christ tells us himself “whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.” Matt. 10:33 (ESV)

The invitation has been sent out, in Matt. 22 Christ tells of “a King who gave a wedding feast for his son, and sent his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding feast, but they would not come.

Again he sent other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner, my oxen and my fat calves have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast.”’

But they paid no attention because they had more pressing issues…..and then the king sent his servants out into the roads and gathered all whom they found, both bad and good. So the lessons-from-the-parables-matthew-22-the-invitation-to-the-wedding-feast_0wedding hall was filled with guests.

“But when the King came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who had no wedding garment.” My friends, the King is a set position. But let’s make it personal and ask ourselves today. Am I one of the Kings servants, who delivers the good news?

Or are we part of the group who ignored the Kings invitation because we have more pressing issues? Or are we the one who thought we were worthy to enter the promise land, but our garment had not been washed in the blood of Jesus Christ. And then the saddest words we will ever hear is I know you not.

My Friends, where there is no vision, the people perish…..Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)
