MY FRIENDS, IS THE FAITH OF A MUSTARD SEED SUFFICIENT?

abraham-285x300”God tells Abraham to “Take now your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah; and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I will tell you.”

Abraham never ask God, why Lord? What is this all about? You do know this is my only son? He only obeyed and as he was about to sacrifice his son a voice called out from heaven “Abraham, Abraham!”…..“Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.” Gen. 22:1-12 (NKJV)

My friends, how far will your faith be stretched before you say: God, hold up, enough is enough, my son needs glasses, the brakes went out on my car, and my nephew’s graduation out of town is this month that I surely want miss. So this month I want be paying tithe.

The scenario I just presented is what Christ meant when he tells us in Matt. 13:31-32 (NKJV) The kingdom of heaven is like a small-as-a-mustard-seedmustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”

My friends, where I need you to focus today is on the smallest of all seeds, the mustard seed. When it comes to our faith, God will test us in small areas of our life and if we believe, it then grows like the smallest of seeds “to where nothing is impossible for us to accomplished.” because nothing is impossible for God and what He is willing to do for His children.

Mustard-Seed-Paula-Williams-The-Touch-SingleAbraham’s faith started out small. Gen. 12:1 (NKJV) states the “Lord ask Abram to “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you.” So Abraham Set’s out on a journey not knowing where He was going, only having the faith of a mustard seed, so he went.

This my friends tells us Abraham had spent time with God and was willing through His faith to give it all to the Master. Inconvenience, trials and tribulation was secondary to what God wanted, because God sees the bigger picture, life eternal.

“Faith is trusting God and believing that He loves us and knows best what is for our good, it leads us to choose His way. In place of our ignorance, it accepts His wisdom; in place of our weakness, His strength; in place of our sinfulness, His righteousness. Our lives, ourselves, are already His; faith acknowledges His ownership and accepts its blessing.” (E. G. White Education, page 253)

My friends as God’s faithful who looks forward to crossing over into the promise land, have you prepared, do you spend time with images4God each day, establishing even the mustard seed size faith which Christ plants in our life for eventual growth?

As we begin to obtain a personal relationship with God, His spirit then begins to transform Gods nature and love into our life. For it is not possible for the heart where the one who gave his only son so that all humanity may have eternal life abides, not to give Him our all.

So to really understand the true meaning of love, grace, mercy and endurance, there must be a passion that tells His chosen, if we have faith and believe that God has made our life to be as a “man or woman after His own heart;” then we also must believe that “if we have faith as a mustard seed, we will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for us. Matt. 17:20 (NKJV)

So friends stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY
