MY FRIENDS, CAN WE BECOME SPIRITUAL SEPARATISTS?
My friends lately we have heard the phrase “separatist” movement on our “breaking news of the day. Separatist is “one who secedes or advocates separation from any group. They could advocate a form of cultural, ethnic, or racial separation or it may be a gender separation from a larger group.
Some of the reasons for separation could be “emotional resentment and hatred of rival communities, protection from ethnic cleansing and genocide, resistance by victims of oppression, including denigration of their language, culture or religion.
There are a number of reasons people separate. At one time, “war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.
The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, [the original separatists] leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.” Rev. 12:7-9 (NIV)
But the question we must ask our self today as a chosen vessel unto God, to bear [His] name before the Gentiles, and kings, and [all the world] are we “spiritual separatist” or do we follow the course of Satan.
Spiritual separatists, I would define as God’s chosen who have decided to separate his or her self from anything that is an abomination to our Lord and Savior. In addition, we are willing to do whatever is required from God to become citizens in His kingdom.
Christ plainly says “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15 (NKJV) The question was also asked of Jesus “Which commandment is the most important of all?” And Jesus answered, “the most important is, you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:28-31 (ESV) So my friends to obey the complete law of God makes us “spiritual separatists,” unique in what we believe and what we are willing to give up including our time, talents and money for the cause of God, even our life.
And it all becomes self-evident which tells the world our faith is what we base our belief on, our faith tells us “this world is not our home, so [we will never] become comfortable, being a part of this world. 1 Peter 2:11-12 (KJV Paraphrased)
John tells us in Rev. 18 “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!………Come out of her, my people.”
Come out of what you see, come out of what you hear, come out of where you go and become separatists for God as you become witnesses for God on the front lines of the battle field telling our communities that Jesus died on Calvary so that all who believe and endure “may have the right to the tree of life and [one day soon] they will enter the city by the gates.”
And it all takes place in God’s pure and holy kingdom ”Rev. 22:14 (ESV) Remember my friends if we lose our focus and turn away from where God is leading. Then we become a part of Satan’s separatist’s movement.
A movement based on his belief that he could be “like the most High” so he establishes an offshoot branch from God’s established law of love and happiness. Which is based on death and destruction.
Every excuse we may give as the reason we cannot serve Christ, was challenged and answered at Calvary.
