WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION!!!

2 Corinthians 3:18 “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit”

WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION, Is a phrase we have all become accustomed to hearing, Webster tells us these are weapons that can cause indiscriminate death or injury on a large scale, . But my friends I am here to tell you today that Satan developed WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION over 6000 years ago.

This WEAPON of Satan and the forces of evil was FORMED with only one objective, to fight against the very foundation of Gods government because Satan’s WEAPON strikes at the very core of God’s precepts, which is based on love, righteousness by faith, Prayer, grace, mercy, hope, and endurance.

But my friends the war is over, Satan’s WEAPONS no longer has any affect on God’s faithful, and the war was won by the shedding of the blood from only one victim Jesus Christ, but it was shed for all who had the desire to be a part of the army of the living God who has promised us through our faith, not DESTRUCTION, BUT ETERNAL LIFE.

What I am trying to tell you today is, the war was FOUGHT and WON on Calvary, but there is still a battle going on for our Mind and body. But my friends we can all claim victory through prayer as we allow God’s Spirit access to us through our faith, and God’s word.

Now the decision we must make today is will we allow God’s transforming power to take effect as we begin to recognized that the war is over, and that NO WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION or “army may succeed against us for “Our heart’s shall not fear; Though WAR may rise against me, In this I will be confident. Ps 27:3 because my faith tells me My God won the war for all sinners.

But first we must take on the character of the CONQUEROR, who’s inauguration speech while on the cross was only three words IT IS FINISHED. But now we must allow God’s Spirit to give us the power of the Cross and the Character of our Savior to be like Him, so we can also claim VICTORY by telling Satan the war is over.

And in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Romans 8:37 My Friends that promise of love tells us we can give all of our battles to the master and win if we have faith.  Because each battle is a battle of the mind, and if I allow Satan to make me fill this war is not over.

And that his world, and his WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION still have a chance to win, while using his  favorite line. You can be a part of his world and receive everything you have ever wanted “if you will fall down and worship the god of this world.” THEN HE WINS, WE LOOSE, BUT THE WAR IS STILL OVER.

So my friends stay focus and “choose you this day whom you will serve” because Satan is the “Father of lies” but our Savior gives us a choice to choose good over evil, love over hate, and eternal life over destruction. And once we choose Christ, through his love, we begin to take on the Character of the one who gave it all for you and I.

And it starts, by Understanding and knowing God and His word which is the process by which God’s character will be cultivated in us. But it must be a daily process, and in so doing, we become “….children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.” 1 John 3:2

So let’s all continued to hold on to the promises “that No WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION that is formed against thee shall prosper.” For The LORD reigns, let the nations tremble; he sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake.  Great is the LORD in Zion; he is exalted over all the nations.  Let them praise your great and awesome name he is holy.  The King is mighty, he loves justice you have established equity; in Jacob you have done what is just and right.  Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy. And my friends He has defeated Satan and his WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION

CALM BEFORE, AND AFTER, THE STORM!!

Phil. 4:6-7 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Twelve years old, not realizing that Nov. 22. 1963 I would became a part of history. School was let out, for a few hours to allow a couple hundred students from kindergarten to the twelfth grade the opportunity to walk the mile or so downtown for the parade to witness the President drive by with his motorcade. It was a beautiful day, when life was simple, fun, and uncomplicated.

We did see the president. But on our way back a gentleman walking also, stop to tell us the president had been shot. By the time we got back to school, it seemed the whole student body was in an uproar, students were crying, and screaming, even teachers could not hold back there emotions.

But what I remember most about that day in history, wasn’t seeing the President, but watching my mother who was the principle, take charge, and calm THE STORM of an entire school who truly felt a deep lost.

As I return to that day, she reminded me of Presidents who I have witness many times since CALM THE STORM of our country right after a great tragedy. What a great memory that will forever be imprinted into my mind. To have those qualities I have no doubt you must also be calm before THE STORM arrives, which my mother always was.

So I now go to Matthew 8:23-27 “And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him. And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a GREAT CALM.”

In the presence of Christ and still fear the STORM. But how many of us are in THE STORMS of life each day, and like the disciples we question God weather He recognizes THE STORM we are in. Matthew also tells us the boat was covered with the waves, just like our every day problems which seems forever overwhelming, and out of control.

But if your plans are to make it to the finish line you must “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear….for it is the Lord your God who goes with you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 My friends the promises of God for each of our STORMS starts in Gen 3:15 when He assures us how He will deal with Satan, all the way through to the last verse of the bible Rev. 22:20 when his promise tells us “Surely I am coming Quickly”

But in order for God’s promises to sustain us in the STORM we must know they exist, and that we can reach back knowing the same God is on the throne that CALMED OUR STORM in the pass as we continue to strengthen our faith knowing God’s Spirit will make each promise personal, just for our situation, circumstances, and Character.

Going back to the disciples, that same day they were witnesses to the Master’s power as He cleanse a leper, spoke the words that healed the Centurions servant of palsy, healed Peters mother-in-law among many others, and cast out demons. And their faith still shattered at the first sign of A RAGING STORM.

This should tell each of us the importance of prayer, and the study of Gods word which is forever a reminding testimony in our minds as to the power of God, and what he has done for us in the pass, and what He will do for us today, and what he will do for us in the future to sustain us as we allow our focus to always be centered on our Savior as He gives us the strength through His Spirit to WEATHER THE STORM as we rest in the comfort and protection of His loving arms until we can see Him face to face for He promises us.

“I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them.” Is.42:16 EVEN IN THE STORM

SEEKING THE PASSION OF CHRIST

Heaven is Cheap enough!  Yes my friends For you and I it is cheap, But oh what a cost to our Savior who had the PASSION to give it all for us.

PASSION, How do you define such a feeling, or an attitude. Going to Webster it describes the word as a powerful or compelling emotion or feeling as love or hate. Which if nothing else explains the great controversy between good and evil.

But today I seek THE PASSION OF CHRIST, and not what the world or the opposing side defines as Passion, but what I seek, I hope we all, which is the PASSION OF THE CROSS AND WHAT IT TOOK FOR OUR SALVATION.

Each of us have probably had a Damascus road experience Like Paul where you had a passion for the opposing side, but by the grace of God that all changed because our God saw something that allowed each of us a chance to fill through His Spirit what real PASSION was truly like.

Paul tells us “But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ. Philippians 3:7-8

Reading that text gives each of us hope, because it lays out a road map that starts with the willingness to deprive ourselves of all earthly gain including friends and family for the PASSION OF CHRIST. But where do we start.

I don’t think there is a written or oral examination on how I seek and find the PASSION OF CHRIST, because to be willing to give it all for the Master is asking a lot. Do I start by selling all I have, do I stand on the corner and scream Jesus Christ and Him Crucified, do I set myself on fire all in the name of the Master.

I mention those extreme measures because throughout history people have done everything imaginable for a cause, and placed Christ name in front of it. But My friends the true PASSION OF CHRIST, that feeling and attitude, that Christ has ask each of us to seek, will lead to our ETERNAL DESTINATION which begin at creation to Calvary and will go throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity.

But if you are a Child of God it really is not hard to find the PASSION OF CHRIST for it is all in His WORD and His WORD along. For In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

Because without the word there is no PASSION, OR HOPE FOR SALVATION, as we allow the Spirit to guide, while allowing the Word to become our roadmap to the PASSION CHRIST FELT and the PASSION WE SEEK.

And not a false Passion that Satan presents to us that will lead to perdition. “For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 2 Cor 4:17 It is promises like that my friends where I find THE TRUE PASSION OF CHRIST.

But as I pursue this PASSION this is what drives me to follow Christ, and not what my Savior can give me in His treasure chest of blessings, it is very easy to seek all the gifts that God gives to His children while forgetting about the true treasure which is His PRESENCE, AND PASSION IN OUR LIFE.

And once we have obtained this PASSION, then comes  discipleship which takes us back to Paul who says he is willing to give it all up for the Master remember the PASSION OF CALVARY was not about the blessings of our life that Christ gives us, the beautiful home, cars, great job and a  lovely family.

But the PASSION OF CHRIST ON CALVARY, was about given us all an opportunity for a PASSIONATE RELATIONSHIP with our Creator. And then telling others of His Love and grace and eternal life. But remember at the same time Satan will be telling you “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.”

Which is a false hope, my friends, true PASSION  is “If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily. As you allow the Word and God’d Spirit to direct you to the TRUE PASSION OF CHRIST

MOVING BEYOND OUR FAITH BOUNDARIES!!!

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.” 2 Corinthians 4:16

My friends God is challenging us today, to go beyond OUR FAITH BOUNDARIES as we seek our ETERNAL DESTINATION, GOD’S KINGDOM.  So today let’s focus on the four Babylonian captives in Daniel chapters 1 and 3.

Daniel and his three companions Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Only these four captives out of all of Israel are mention as never wavering in their faith, and maintaining allegiance to God throughout their captivity. Their first faith challenge was with the “Daily provision of the king’s delicacies, and wine that came from his table.” But as representatives of God, they knew His health requirements. “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

So they present God’s diet plan, and make a request “Please test your servants for ten days, and give us vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then the king interviewed them, none were found like Daniel and His companions. My friends what I need to let you know, only when you step out in faith will you have the Character and strength to go to the next level.

Remember with greater faith comes greater grace. There need never be asked “You of little faith, “why did you doubt?” God then allows Satan to help in producing strong characters. By putting God’s faithful through Satan’s sifting process.

But the good Shepherd tells us in John 10:14 “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me” So now their  faith takes them beyond there FAITH BOUNDARIES when a day was appointed for all the multitudes to bow to an “idolatrous symbol of human power.”

But the faithful need never compromise, because they have been tested in the flames of affliction before. My friends we must always stand firm for God. Remember we are not being challenged but God Himself. So their message to the King was short, and to the point “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.

If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand.” As I study God’s word no other phrase inspires me like the one’s that comes next. Oh King, BUT IF NOT.

My friends that is the place I am working daily to get to when I can look kings and rulers in the face and say BUT IF NOT, let it be known to you, that we still will not serve your gods, nor worship the gold image which you have set up.”

My friends this is what we strive for in moving beyond our FAITH BOUNDARIES. James 1:2-3 tells us “Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”

PERFECT RESULTS, COMPLETE, LACKING IN NOTHING, those words tells me my faith is “steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.” My friends before Christ comes for the second time, our eternal destination will have to be based totally on our faith.

Like John Huss when he had been fastened to the stake, and all was ready for the fire to be lighted, the martyr was once more exhorted to save himself by renouncing his errors. “What errors,” said Huss, “shall I renounce? I know myself guilty of none. I call God to witness that….”

Friends what have you done lately to affirm the faith needed to take you beyond your FAITH BOUNDARIES. Have you made it a point to keep whatever day you worship on, holy, and unique, from the other six day’s of the week. What about God’s requirements for a 10 percent tithe, are we faithful no matter what may seem more important financially.

My friends Satan will challenge us in all of God’ precepts, but endurance starts at point A and keeps going until the course is finish which is the kingdom of God. So please don’t wait, seek God’s presence today “for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.” Are you ready HAVE you GONE BEYOND YOUR FAITH BOUNDARIES IN PREPARATION TO GREET HIM.

MY FRIENDS, SATAN DESIRES TO SIFT YOU AS WHEAT!!!

Luke 22:31-32 And the Lord said,“Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.  But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”

Sifting wheat during Christ days was a two stage process. The first step in the process of sifting wheat is to loosen the chaff from the edible grain, which is called threshing. To do this is to spread the wheat onto a floor made from stone, or concrete and to beat it with a flail.

The next step is called winnowing, where the loosened chaff is removed from the grain, by throwing the grain in the air, where the lighter chaff would be blown off by even a decent breeze. The heavier grains would fall back to the ground below where they were thrown, then gathered and prepared for the market.

My friends is it not obvious as we study Gods word that there are boundaries, and protocol, even Satan as a created being like you and I must abide by in GOD’S UNIVERSE. And what is so amazing is if Satan knows this why have we allowed ourselves to “fall short of the glory of God” as we move closer into the final stretch of our journey that Christ has placed us on.

So my main point I need you to focus on today is, if God does allow us to be SIFTED AS WHEAT BY SATAN it is only to strengthen our fragile faith for “He’s preparing His Children for something we cannot handle right now, He’s making us ready Just because He loves us, while providing what we need To carry out the final phase of this journey”

Because God knows our character, and like Peter his only objective is to make us stronger through adversity, and afflictions and the day to day trials of our life. Yes my friends sometimes our Father loosens His reigns just enough to allow our faith to take hold because He knows “WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD….”Heb 11:6

“But we must also tell ourselves “If God is for us who can be against us” the problem is when our passion to watch, and pray becomes obsolete as we begin to allow the affairs of this world to have more of an influence over our life, then God, and His plan that we take the good news of Salvation to a fallen world.

And once we allow that to happen we then lose focus on our Eternal Salvation. My friends there is a spiritual warfare that is being fought over our souls daily. SIFTING becomes part of that process where our character, like the wheat has to be rid of all its coarser, and impure particles.

But it’s part of the purification process that must take place to secure a character like Christ. So GOD ALLOWS SATAN TO SIFT HIS CHILDREN. So today I need you to understand what I am learning each day about this great controversy.

Satan does play a factor in our Salvation, in that as Satan tries to crush and destroy us through his SIFTING PROCESS, and our faith holds firm. Christ can then present us to His father as His Children, who are “a Brand Plucked From the Fire?”

And my friends please don’t worry about SATAN” SIFTING PROCESS for “There hath no temptation taken hold of you but such as is common to man. But God is faithful; He will not suffer you to be tempted beyond that which ye are able to bear, but with the temptation will also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Cor 10:13

OH MY GOD WHAT A WONDERFUL GOD WE SERVE. And the part I really love the most is when my faith has passed the test, and MY GOD can then brag on His faithful and say “Hast thou considered MY CHOSEN, that there is none like HIM, OR HER in the earth, a perfect and an upright MAN OR WOMAN, one that feareth God,  and shuns evil?

MY FRIENDS  time will run out one day soon. In Judges 21:25 it tells us In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes. As we look at the world today it is just about at that point. And so I am  going to be frankly honest with you today.

If Satan is not SIFTING YOU AS WHEAT, PLEASE MY FRIENDS FALL ON YOUR KNEES  NOW, AND PLACE IT ALL BEFORE THE LORD UNTIL GOD HEARS YOU, AND YOU CAN HERE GOD say“I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Isaiah 41:13 For I know SATAN DESIRES TO SIFT YOU AS WHEAT But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail.

I AM REDEEMED!!!

Isaiah 43:1-2 But now the Lord who created you, O Israel, says: Don’t be afraid, for I have REDEEMED you; I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up—the flames will not consume you.

It was almost 1:00 in the morning when the phone rang. Dr. Leo Winters, the highly acclaimed Chicago surgeon, was abruptly awakened. There had been an accident and his skill hands were needed for immediate surgery.

The quickest route happened to be through a rather tough area, but with time being a critical factor, it was worth the risk. At one of the stoplights his door was yanked open by a man with a gray hat and a dirty flannel shirt. “I got to have your car!”

the man screamed, pulling him from his seat. Winters tried to explain the gravity of the situation but the man would not listen. When the doctor was finally able to get a taxi to the hospital over an hour had elapsed and it was to late as the patient had passed away 30 minutes earlier.

The nurse told him that the father of the victim had gone to the chapel wondering why the doctor never came. Dr. Winters walked hurriedly to get to the chapel and when he entered he saw the father… he was wearing a gray hat and dirty flannel shirt. (J. Utley)

Tragically the man in the gray hat, and dirty flannel shirt, had terminated the one chance he had in saving his son’s life. My friends How, many times, in our life do we terminate or eliminate the saving grace of our Savior from our lives. My friends  He knocks daily,

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” Rev. 3:20 Yes my friends we terminate our relationship with Christ most of the time because our schedules, and time does not fit within Christ spiritual agenda for us.

But when does REDEMPTION becomes a passion that burns from within. yes when do you say to yourself and God ” Your Word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones.”  John 5:24 tells us Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation…

Eph 1:4-7 also tells us “FOR HE CHOOSE US IN HIM BEFORE THE CREATION OF THE WORLD TO BE HOLY AND BLAMELESS IN HIS SIGHT he predestined us for adoption to SONSHIP through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have REDEMPTION through his blood…”

”Predestined to SONSHIP through JESUS CHRIST.” As I focus on that text today, it tells me when we give our life totally over to Christ and allow Him to transforms us into His Character. It will be like having a complete blood transfusion.

Yes our defiled, and tainted  blood will be completely purged of all impure elements, and then completely saturated with the saving, pure, and holy blood of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. OH MY GOD!!! Like the Prisoner who has spent years in jail and then through the process of modern technology his DNA does not match what was found at the crime scene.

And now he is found innocent of all transgressions that were brought against him. He is a free man. My friends Satan has brought charges against us before our God. But our God has claimed us as His SONSHIP, HIS CHOSEN, REDEEMED BY THE BLOOD OF HIS SON JESUS CHRIST.

I can picture God telling Satan you do remember my only Begotten Son don’t you, my only Son who defeated you at Calvary. Yes Satan He still has the scars on His Hands and feet, The imprint of that sphere is still in His side, the indentation from the crown of thorns is still on His brow. But Satan He now wears a golden crown of victory over you, and Satan my children will also ware crowns of victory one day very soon. My friends “Praise God from whom all blessings flow.”

“Seems like all I can see was the struggle Haunted by ghosts that lived in my past Bound up in shackles of all my failures Wondering how long is this gonna last. Then You look at this prisoner and said to me “son Stop fighting a fight that’s already been won” BECAUSE YOU ARE REDEEMED. (Big Daddy Weave)

GOD KNOW’S MY STORY, SO MY WORSHIP IS FOR REAL!!!

Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.  Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.  Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.  Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.  For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalm 100:1-5

Today my friends lets allow God’s Spirit to direct our thought’s, as we focus on our life and where we came from because each of us have traveled  different roads to get to where we are today, but by the grace of God as we close the final chapters of this life, our ending will be the same, ETERNAL LIFE through our faith, and Gods free gift, Salvation.

So tell yourselves today GOD KNOW’S MY STORY, SO MY WORSHIP, IS FOR REAL!!! My praise is genuine, for I know how far his hands reached to pull me from Satans influence. Yes my friends my tears are real, my pain and hurt is real, my scares are real, so that tells me MY WORSHIP IS REAL.

As we look back over our life, while praising His name we can’t help but say MY WORSHIP IS FOR REAL. Praising God is what I do best, because He has never left me or forsaken me or placed me in time out for my behavior.

He has done what seemed like the impossible, and performed miracles, and cast out demons, and fought battles, and healed my broken heart, and cured my diseases, and protected me, and watched over my life in places that even today I say to myself, HMMMM did I really go there.

So we all can praise His name today, and say with no reservations GOD KNOW’S MY STORY, SO MY WORSHIP IS FOR REAL!!! because we wake up daily, and see with our eyes the sun rising, we can hear the birds singing with our ears, we have two legs to stand up in church service and wave our hands as the praise team sings.

Yes my friends, our health and strength is not what it used to be, but all of that will change soon, at God’s appearing in the clouds one day to take the redeemed back home with Him. My friends today we all can truly say WE ARE BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED by our Lord and Savior who gave it all for us.

1 Peter 2:9 tells us We “are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may DECLARE THE PRAISES of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” Phill 1:6

So today if you are a child of God you can say with no skepticism GOD KNOW’S MY STORY, SO MY WORSHIP IS FOR REAL!!! Exodus 14:11-12,22,27 tells us They said to Moses, “Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness?…For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”

And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. My friends Like the Egyptians, sometimes we forget where God has brought us from, and where He plans on taking us which is to the promise land.

Exodus 15:1-2 my friends our God is due all the praise, honor, and glory today because HE KNOWS OUR STORY, SO OUR WORSHIP, IS FOR REAL!!!

GOD KNOW’S MY STORY, SO MY WORSHIP IS FOR REAL!!!

Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.  Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.  Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.  Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.  For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalm 100:1-5

Today my friends lets allow God’s Spirit to direct our thought’s, as we focus on our life and where we came from because each of us have traveled  different roads to get to where we are today, but by the grace of God as we close the final chapters of this life, our ending will be the same, ETERNAL LIFE through our faith, and Gods free gift, Salvation.

So tell yourselves today GOD KNOW’S MY STORY, SO MY WORSHIP, IS FOR REAL!!! My praise is genuine, for I know how far his hands reached to pull me from Satans influence. Yes my friends my tears are real, my pain and hurt is real, my scares are real, so that tells me MY WORSHIP IS REAL.

As we look back over our life, while praising His name we can’t help but say MY WORSHIP IS FOR REAL. Praising God is what I do best, because He has never left me or forsaken me or placed me in time out for my behavior.

He has done what seemed like the impossible, and performed miracles, and cast out demons, and fought battles, and healed my broken heart, and cured my diseases, and protected me, and watched over my life in places that even today I say to myself, HMMMM did I really go there.

So we all can praise His name today, and say with no reservations GOD KNOW’S MY STORY, SO MY WORSHIP IS FOR REAL!!! because we wake up daily, and see with our eyes the sun rising, we can hear the birds singing with our ears, we have two legs to stand up in church service and wave our hands as the praise team sings.

Yes my friends, our health and strength is not what it used to be, but all of that will change soon, at God’s appearing in the clouds one day to take the redeemed back home with Him. My friends today we all can truly say WE ARE BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED by our Lord and Savior who gave it all for us.

1 Peter 2:9 tells us We “are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may DECLARE THE PRAISES of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” Phill 1:6

So today if you are a child of God you can say with no skepticism GOD KNOW’S MY STORY, SO MY WORSHIP IS FOR REAL!!! Exodus 14:11-12,22,27 tells us They said to Moses, “Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness?…For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”

And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. My friends Like the Egyptians, sometimes we forget where God has brought us from, and where He plans on taking us which is to the promise land.

DISTRACTIONS, AND THE PATH TO ETERNITY!!!

1 Corinthians 9:24-25 Know ye not that they that run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? Even so run; that ye may attain. And every man that striveth in the games exerciseth self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

Distractions: that which distracts, divides the attention, or prevents concentration

Golf immortal Arnold Palmer recalls a lesson about staying focus: It was the final hole of the 1961 Masters tournament, and I had a one-stroke lead and had just hit a very satisfying tee shot. I felt I was in pretty good shape. As I approached my ball, I saw an old friend standing at the edge of the gallery. He motioned me over, stuck out his hand and said, “Congratulations.” I took his hand and shook it, but as soon as I did, I knew I had lost my focus. On my next two shots, I hit the ball into a sand trap, then put it over the edge of the green. I missed a putt and lost the Masters. You don’t forget a mistake like that; you just learn from it and become determined that you will never do that again. I haven’t in the 30 years since.

My friends as a Child of God living in the 21^st century it is a real spiritual challenge  focusing on VICTORY. As we look at the chaos and confusing of the world we live in there should be no doubt in one’s mind that we are in the final stretch of our race to the finish line.

So each of us through God’s word and Spirit should have only one focal point and that is finishing the course and receiving the gold. Nothing else should have a component into  receiving our crown and victory reward from our Savior.

That is why we should never let the things of this world divide our attention or cause us to loose concentration on our goal, which is God’s pure and holy kingdom. One hand shake, and the words, Congratulations, from a friend Caused Arnold Palmer to loose focus and loose the Masters in 1961.

My friends what will our distractions be each day to keep us from searching the scriptures as we seek the anointing of God’s Spirit which will sustain the power from within to carry us across the finish line as we begin to focus upon our Goal which is Salvation.

As A Christian our Focus should be Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. Nothing else should define This Race or journey that each of us are on to the finish line. Paul tells us in Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

also he says in Colossians 2:6 -8 “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”

When we as Christians remain Focused we then surrender our all to the Master,  and once that happens it all becomes about trusting and having faith in a God that has done it all for our Salvation. So By given our all to God, it takes the focal Point off of self, and what we may want, and places it upon the blood of Jesus Christ.

And to Totally Surrender  it all to the Master is not the most outstanding way to live, it is the only way to live, If we want to make heaven our home. Because nothing else matters as a Christians. Because all other pathways will lead to defeat and in the end, and then destruction.

Hebrews 12:2 says “fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” My friends Christ never distracted from his Goal which was the cross.

Satan failed in every way possible in drawing Christ attention from “His father who art in Heaven” to the things of this world. But Christ forever prayed without ceasing, while allowing His knowledge of the scriptures to defeat the enemy in every situation and Circumstances.

And because he stayed focus and undistracted he finish the course that will allow us to finish, and sit at the banquet table of the redeemed one day soon. “For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps.” 1Peter 2:21

THERE SHOULD BE NOTHING ELSE TO SAY!!!

Before the invention of electricity. A certain medieval minister announced he would be preaching next Sunday evening on “The Love of God.” As the shadows fell and the light ceased to come in through the church windows, the congregation gathered. In the darkness of the podium, the minister lighted a candle and carried it to the back wall where the picture of Christ on the cross hung. First of all, he illumined the crown of thorns, next, the two wounded hands and feet, then the marks of the spear wound. In the hush that fell on the congregation, he blew out the candle and left the podium. THERE SHOULD BE NOTHING ELSE TO SAY (Author unknown).

My friends let’s close our eyes and  focus on Jesus Christ as we follow him from the upper room where He laid aside His royal crown and robe as He placed Himself in the form of a humble servant, girded Himself, and perform a servant’s duty.

Then to the garden of Gethsemane. As His thoughts go back to “When in conflict with men who were inspired by the very spirit of Satan, He could say, “He that sent Me is with Me: the Father hath not left Me alone; for I do always those things that please Him.” John 8:29.

But now He seemed to be shut out from the light of God’s sustaining presence. Now He was numbered with the transgressors. The guilt of fallen humanity He must bear. Upon Him who knew no sin must be laid the iniquity of us all.

So dreadful does sin appear to Him, so great is the weight of guilt which He must bear, that He is tempted to fear it will shut Him out forever from His Father’s love.” (E. G. White Desire of Ages) THERE SHOULD BE NOTHING ELSE TO SAY.

But then the betrayal by one of His own Disciples for a mere 30 pieces of silver. The scrutiny before Annas who was the head of the officiating priestly family, and then we travel through the Court of Caiaphas the High Priest as he was asked

“I adjure Thee by the living God, that Thou tell us whether Thou be the Christ, the Son of God.” as He answered, “Thou hast said.” “Nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.”

with that statement  charges of blasphemy or claiming to be God were brought before him, as He is slap and spat upon and “brought as a lamb to the slaughter,”  my friends THERE SHOULD BE NOTHING ELSE TO SAY.

But He is then led through the roman halls of justice as the Jewish rabble rang out crucify Him Crucify him as He is scourged in the sight of the multitude, clothed in purple, and  a crown of thorns, placed on His Head as the rabble taunt and salute Him, Hail, King of the Jews.

Oh what sorrow He felt, as Creator of the universe  led “as a lamb to the slaughter,” THERE SHOULD BE NOTHING ELSE TO SAY. But  then down The Via Dolorosa,  the path that Jesus walked, carrying his cross, on the way to Calvary to die not only for the sins of those who crucified Him, but the sins of all humanity.

“Suddenly the gloom lifted from the cross and in clear, trumpet like tones that seemed to resound throughout creation, Jesus cried, “It is finished.” “Father, into Thy hands I commend My spirit.” A light encircled the cross, and the face of the Savior shone with a glory like the sun. He then bowed His head upon His breast, and died. (E. G. White) THERE SHOULD BE NOTHING ELSE TO SAY.

But My friends how far did those out stretched arms on the cross reach to rescue each of us today. How deep in sin had you gone when He pulled you to the shores of safety into His loving arms. how long had he pleaded with us through His Spirit before we heard His voice say.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matt.11:28 My friends it has been 2,000 years since the crucifixion of Christ. Each of us are familiar with the path Jesus walked to save us.

Now it is our responsibility to go out and tell the world  the good new of Christ soon return. And one day soon, as the saved witness our Savior enter the clouds to come take us home together. “ it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.” Is. 25:9 and as we wait in awe and adoration to be called up in the clouds with our Savior, THERE SHOULD BE NOTHING ELSE TO SAY IN THIS WORLD.
