MY FRIENDS, OUR GOD IS ABLE TO DO MORE THAN ALL WE ASK OR IMAGINE!!
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” Eph. 3:20-21 (NIV)
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.” Those 16 words in that text tells us, God will go beyond what we ask, if we will only believe in the power of God and what His Spirit will do in our lives.
“Then he said, “Take the arrows,” and the king took them. Elisha told him, “Strike the ground.” He struck it three times and stopped. The man of God was angry with him and said, “You should have struck the ground five or six times; then you would have defeated Aram and completely destroyed it. But now you will defeat it only three times.” 2 Kings 3:18-19 (NIV)
My friends how many times have we stop short of our blessings because of our unbelief in God being “able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine” For if you are a Child of God, Faith has no barriers.
Neither does God’s love grace and mercy and his desire to give us what we ask. But we must also not look at Faith as our personal debit card that we pull out and use when we seek the finer things of life. James tells us “you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. James 4:2-5 (NKJV)
But it is all about “Genuine faith which is a transaction by which those who receive Christ as their Savior, join themselves in a covenant relationship with God.” Genuine faith also has to be a way of life that allows us to give our all to God on this earth until we hear Christ personally tell us “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
So today we must “Trust in the Lord with all [of] our heart, and [we cannot] lean on our own understanding or knowledge,” but on the fact that God is “able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine” if we believe.
Remember it will not be easy to lay aside “every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us in these last days before Christ second coming. Christ tells us to “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” And it will only be our faith in the fact that God is leading us that will allow His chosen to stay on that narrow road.
And when God does say it is finished and Christ comes and get’s His faithful who have endured and takes us to our new home. As we walk on those streets of gold and eat from the tree of life.
“We will try to call up our greatest trials, but they looked so small compared with the far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory that surrounds us that we cannot speak them out, [and then we will truly understand the words “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.”] As we cry out, “Alleluia, heaven is cheap enough!” (E.G. So friends stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY
