MY FRIENDS, WHY SHOULD WE WAIT ON YOU LORD IN THESE TRYING TIMES?
“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” Is. 40:28-31
but how is that possible in this fast pace, got to have it right now, 21st century society we live in today. God should work like instance coffee, two teaspoon in a cup of water, two minutes in the microwave, and your problems are solved.
But my friends, if you are a Child of the King, sometimes our prayer request can take a day, a week, or a season. And in some cases, it may never get answered. “In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; In the night my hand was stretched out without weariness; My soul refused to be comforted” Ps. 77:1-2 (KJV)
But what are our options in a trying season of waiting? Well my friends, our options are to recognize God listens, but He is also in control. We must never forget, He gave His only Begotten Son, a Son who went to Calvary so that we may receive life eternal.
In addition, God’s number one priority is to bring glory and Honor to His name, and too save us. For “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)
Consistent with this, we must established, a solid foundation through the “author and finisher of our faith” in every situation, and circumstances. “Trusting in the Lord with all our heart and leaning not on our own understanding; but submit to him totally, and if you allow that to happen he will make your paths straight” and in the end that same path will lead His faithful, who endures to life eternal.
Paul tells us in 2 Cor. 12:7-10 (NKJV) “A thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me.
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
Remember “God knows what is best for His children. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;……
God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn……[So as a Child of God we must] be still, and know who God is, and all that He is willing to do so that we may one day eat from the tree of life throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity, in His pure and holy kingdom.
So friends stay focused, remain faithful, love one another and endure till the end and never forget to STUDY&PRAY
