MY FRIENDS, ARE WE REFUSING TO LET GOD MINISTER TO US?

421517_391773197506640_100000218896468_1811150_489442730_nIts personal today my friends so let’s ask our-self if we need to know God’s plan for our life what must we do? The answer is simple. “Get in the spirit, and let the Lord minister to you. Because once you go there, God will show you some things and He will reveal some things that a child of God needs to know. In addition, He will show you and I how to look at our troubles and walk right through them. And while we are in the spirit, God will also change some things in us, and He will explain some things and He will even rearranged some things in our life.

Consistent with this, while we are in the Spirit, God will even get rid of those “socially acceptable sins” that needed to go so that we “might have life, and have it more abundantly” through Him. And at times even while in the Spirit we may seem like we are “breaking under the weight of it all,” but, it is at that point we must fall down on our knees, and cry out Lord, I fill empty but I am willing to stay in the Spirit through the “breaking news and the noise of this world so I can hear your voice tell me which way to go.

Once again my friends, God knows the “plans He has for our future,” but we must get in the spirit, and let the Lord minister to us.” (Donald Romans-8-6Lawrence & Tri-City Singers, Let The Lord Minister To You paraphrased) Focus today my friends on the words “let the Lord minister to you.” And if that is our focus we must also understand as the Lord ministers to us, it will also require a commitment on our part which eliminates self.

And once that is accomplished, even through the noise of this world we can hear the Lord explain some things that is required for our salvation as He  rearranges some things in our life that will make us “safe to save.” And I can say with no reservation that anything else in our life besides Christ ministering to us we can “account as loss,” or “dung,” because the one who gave it all at Calvary for us, our Creator and Advocate is the one who is doing the rearranging so nothing else should be said or matter except “not my will but God’s will be done.”

images4But it starts with us stepping out in faith and letting Christ guide us as He places within us through His Spirit the power to finish up His work in our life time. “In the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.” Acts 2:17 (KJV)

But Unless we are daily advancing in an active process of Christian virtues and allowing self to die daily as our faith is tested, we shall never be able to recognize the “manifestations of God’s Spirit” when it becomes available. Many all around us may be receiving this power, but when our faith was tested, we continually failed because the world received our time, talents and money instead of God.

So today let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, [as we] look unto Jesus, the author, finisher [and minister] of our faith” Heb. 12:1-2 (NKJV)

MY FRIENDS, WOULD WE STILL LOVE GOD IF HEAVEN WAS NEVER PROMISED?

img_6135“It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit, and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.” 2 Peter 2:21-22 (NKJV) My friends, knowledge brings on responsibility. It’s personal because you and I are accountable for our own actions.

We may continue to sin because there are commandments that we find are just not conducive to our life style. So we return to the moral filth and impurities of this world while ignoring our responsibility to the one who gave it all for our Salvation. So our commitment to God was never genuine. When we had found that pearl of great price, we did not sell all we had to purchase it. For if we would have given our all and felt the presence of the one who gave it all for us we would have realized, there was nothing in this world to go back too that could compare to Jesus Christ.

My friends, What I can tell you about myself and hope you feel the same, “if heaven had never been promised to me,” all the trials and tribulation I’ve gone through in this lifeiSIN-e1343908924228-300x223 was worth it “just having the Lord in my life.” And to feel His presence daily and  knowing He loved me so much that He gave it all up, even His life for my salvation. And until we recognize what it means to Have Christ in our life, “sin and the wages of sin which is death” will always seem more appealing than giving it all to the Master.

As Christians we sometimes try and live in our own strength as we rationalize within our minds why we cannot give our all to Christ. So with that attitude, Satan now has rendered us powerless, and weak. But today our Savior needs you to reevaluate your commitment and proclaim His name to the world while grace still abounds. If you are a Child of God you have realized by now that Satan has taken the world by storm.

6369452And most are not prepared for the god of this worlds tactics of chaos and destruction as he recruits a team of false prophets who are claiming to be in the inner circle of Christ. And just by their unique charismatic persona they are telling their followers, follow me, “I am the way the truth and the life.” But as God’s chosen, We must study and we must know the scriptures for ourselves.

And we cannot hide the treasures of God we have learned in His word as we tell the world that “Christ Himself is the only pearl of great price. “Every page of the Holy Scriptures shines with His light. The righteousness of Christ, as a pure, white pearl, has no defect, no stain. No work of man can improve the great and precious gift of God. It is without a flaw. In Christ are “hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:3.

He is “made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.” 1 Corinthians 1:30. All that can satisfy the needs and longings of the human soul, for this world and for the world to come, is found in Christ. Our Redeemer is the pearl so precious that in comparison all things else may be accounted loss.” (E. G. White Christ’s Object Lessons, chapter 9, page 115)

MY FRIENDS, WILL THESE BIRTH PANGS CONTINUE?

imgres“……..I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me” 2 Tim. 1:11-12 (ESV) Second Timothy was probably written when Paul was in a Roman prison “abandoned by all but a few friends and facing imminent death,” imminent meaning likely to occur at any moment. My friends, what has become imminent in our life in regards to our Salvation. Is it imminent that the boisterous waves of our life take us under to where we no longer hear the cries of those we should be helping.

Paul in His second epistle to Timothy is not thinking of self because He realizes what time he has left must not be spent in an attitude of profound hopelessness and discouragement. And as we look “forward to a home yet to come,” and as we witness the constant bombardment of “breaking news,” false prophets, wars, lawlessness at an all-time high, as the love of mankind grows colder. It is imminent that grievous trouble and severe trials and suffering is only the “beginning of out birth pangs.”

The contractions will begin to move at a rapid pace like no human has ever seen before. More frequent and with far more pain until there will “be imagesgreat tribulation (pressure, distress, oppression), such has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now.” Matt 24:21 (AMP) And as we approach the final days of this life’s history there will be a sharp contrast from a child of God and those who follow the forces of evil.

My friends, perilous times have just begun, But like Paul we know whom “we have believed” and through our faith and endurance our life at this point must only focus on producing positive result. So we cannot be ashamed of what we do for Christ.” Remember, God has placed us on this Journey. He directs our foot-steps and it is His mandate we are fulfilling as heirs to His kingdom.

So we must maintain our faith, even when we feel the waves are taking us under we must remember “afflictions do and will work very much for the good of our salvation through Christ because His love grace and “mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” So we must pray daily for a commitment of faith, as Paul maintained while under such trying circumstances.

00023956_hMy friends, “Soon the night of trial and suffering would end, and then would dawn the glad morning of peace and perfect day. “The apostle [as we should be] was looking into the great beyond, not with uncertainty or dread, but with joyous hope and longing expectation. [And as we stand today at this place in time where “others who have no hope.”]

A child of God  must look up through the calm blue heaven of that summer day to the throne of the Eternal” (E. G.White) and realize because of our faith and endurance we have been washed with the blood of Jesus Christ and we are now “safe to save.” My friends, what happen to Paul on the road to Damascus we should all seek.

That light from above, that same voice of Christ telling us, “Arise go into the [community], and you will be told what you must do.” We must all seek. My friends, we cannot be ashamed of the gospel of Christ because, “whoever is ashamed of Christ and His words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and reward us for what we have done in his body, whether good or worthless.” 2 Luke 9:26 (NIV) Cor. 5:10 (ISV)

MY FRIENDS, DO WE UNDERSTAND WE ARE PRESUMPTUOUS CHRISTIANS?

09a58580As we define the word PRESUMPTUOUS in regards to our spiritual walk with God I think its safe to say it is the conduct of each of us who walks in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, we know right from wrong and that all sin is an abomination to the Lord no matter how small. But because Satan has redirected our focus, we now have a favorable opinion about sin. We have become PRESUMPTUOUS or a willful participant and unrepentant, which tells us we have become careless with God and his word and what our responsibilities are as a child of God.

Numbers 15:30-31 (NKJV) tells us, “but the person who does anything presumptuously……that one brings reproach on the Lord, and he shall be cut off from among his people. Because he has despised the word of the Lord, and have broken His commandments…….” So now its personal because its about you and I who willfully sin and “bring reproach on the one who gave it all for our salvation and It’s you and I who willfully break His commandments.

“There were times of this ignorance [of not knowing], when God winked; but now He commandeth all men every-where to repent:” because He hasimages1 appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness Acts 17:30-31 (NKJV) So to willfully sin is to ignore the light that shines from God onto our hearts where His Spirit is trying to lead us in “all truth and understanding.“ In addition, that PRESUMPTUOUS sin arises from our carelessness with God and his word and a willful disobedience in the context of the Spirit’s work in the world through Christ and His ministry.

Which then takes us to the abyss or the unpardonable or unforgivable sin which can never be forgiven, “either in this age or in the age to come” Matthew 12:32 (KJV) So now we walk away, but it’s not the Spirit that leaves us, but it’s Satan who has convinced us we have gone to far. But my friends Christ arm still reaches as He pleads “Come unto Me, all who labour [of soul and mind] and are heavy laden [with the burdens of sin], and I will give you rest.

[He is asking us to] Take His yoke and [submit to the discipline and training that will get us through that narrow gate and difficult road where only a few will find. but those few who do, will receive life eternal.”] And learn on Him; for He is meek and [humble] in heart: and we shall find rest unto our souls. For Christ yoke is easy, and His burden is light [for all who truly love the lord and will delight to do His will wherever He may lead]” Matt 11:28-29 (KJV paraphrased)

Hourglass Sand Timer Beach SunriseMy friends David ask God in Ps. 19:13 (NKJV) Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins Let them not have dominion [or power]over me. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of great transgressions.” My friends, Remember we are not dealing with “flesh and blood” but against “the rulers of the darkness of this world” we of ourselves have no power to say no to sin and to “forsake all others.”

Our power can only come through our faith and endurance which can only come from our prayers and supplication as we study God’s word and seek His Spirit daily. But if we are PRESUMPTUOUS and allow Satan to keep our focus on the things of this world then we must understand “God’s Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days are numbered and one day soon the Son of Man is coming at an hour that we do not expect.” My friends will we be ready?

MY FRIENDS, WHAT IS IT THAT WE JUST CAN’T LET GO OF?

12751153_458413451018978_1961608473_nAs I watched the fourth of July come and go, I realize how much we are consumed with occurrences and special events in our life that have nothing to do with this journey God has placed us on. If we go to Matt. 19:28-29 (NKJV) which are the last two verses of that chapter. In (v,28) Christ tells His disciples; when the Son of man sits on the throne of His Glory if you have followed me you will also be seated there with me on twelve thrones.

And then in (v, 29) Christ speaks directly to you and I. “And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.” So my friends, “for His namesake” we must “Forsake all others. And the message remains the same two thousand years later. Deny self, let go and take up our cross and follow [Christ wherever He leads].” Matt. 16:24 (NIV)

In today’s society “to forsake all others and follow Christ seems unimaginable because we just can’t let go. If we go through the entire Chapter of Matt images19 Christ starts by talking about marriage and divorce then He teaches on celibacy, then He blesses the little Children, then He counsels the Rich Young Ruler, who keeps all the commandments, but then Christ ask Him in (v,21,22) “to go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.”

In verses 23-26 the narrative continues when Christ says to His disciples “it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?” Who then my friends? And what must we let go of? And is it possible in the 21st century? Jesus answer is plain and simple “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

In other words, Deny self and “forsake all others,” carry your cross and follow me can only be accomplished through Christ. Because if Christ is not who we wake up and go to be with each day “our adversary the devil, [who goes about] as a roaring lion,…[will] devour” [everyone who claims to be a child of God] 1 Peter 5:8 (KJV) We must understand Satan desires is to compete with Christ for our undivided attention as he attempts to monopolize our heart away from where Christ is leading and how far Christ hand is willing to reach to save us.

maxresdefaultSo now since its personal we must ask ourselves, what side of this great controversy between good and evil are we on. Because “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. We cannot serve God and [Satan].” Luke 16:13 (NKJV)

So if what Satan has to offer us in this world we can’t let go of, then the “gate is broad and there are many who will be on that same road which leads to destruction. But if our desire is to let go and “forsake all others” and carry our cross and be a disciple for Christ than, “narrow is the gate and difficult is this road and there are few who will find it. but those few who do, will receive life eternal.”

MY FRIENDS, SIMPLE BUT WISE ADVICE, DON’T GIVE UP!!

13332944_1090093767696695_5343373921712054900_nI saw a post on facebook that read “God has a purpose for your pain. A reason for your struggles and a reward for your faithfulness. So don’t give up.” My friends quitting requires no effort and using Christ as our example we see at one point before Calvary, “He seemed to be shut out from the light of God’s sustaining presence. Now He was numbered with the transgressors. The guilt of fallen humanity He must bear.

Upon Him who knew no sin must be laid the iniquity of us all. So dreadful does sin appear to Him, so great is the weight of guilt which He must bear, that He is tempted to fear it will shut Him out forever from His Father’s love.” (E. G. White Desire of Ages) My friends why didn’t He just give up and return to His glorious home in heaven, I am sure His father would have understood. Then the betrayal by Judas one of His own for 30 pieces of silver. The scrutiny before Annas the head of the officiating priestly family.

And then through the Court of Caiaphas the High Priest, the elders, and all the council sought to bring a false testimony against Jesus so that He909b32c6f8b613d2e358f0f0d09c40dd may be put to death, thus quieting Him forever or they thought. He is then asked by the high priest, “I put You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!” “It is as you said” Christ answers. charges of blasphemy or claiming to be God were then brought before him, as He is slapped and spat upon and “brought as a lamb to the slaughter.”

The high priest then tore his clothes! We need no more witnesses, you have heard His blasphemy! What do you think?” The council answered and said, “He is deserving of death.” Matt. 26:57-67 (NKJV) My friends, why didn’t He give up at this point. He is then led through the roman halls of justice as the Jewish rabble rang out crucify Him, Crucify him as He is scourged, clothed in purple, and a crown of thorns, placed on His Head as the rabble taunt and salute Him, Hail, King of the Jews.

The Creator of the universe, “as a lamb to the slaughter.” Surely He should have given up by now and gone home. Then down The Via Dolorosa, the path of sorrow carrying his cross on the way to Calvary to die for the sins of all humanity. Why didn’t He give up. What was the passion of Christ that kept Him focused throughout His Journey. My friends, the answer is simple. His focus was on how far His out stretched arms on the cross would reach to rescue you and I.

images3And how deep in sin would we go before He would have to pull us to the shores of safety into His loving arms. And how long He would plead with us through His Spirit before we heard His voice say. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matt.11:28 (KJV) My friends the reward for His faithfulness was He would rise again and that is why He would not give up and go home.

It has been 2,000 years since the purpose for Christ pain and the reason for His struggles was Calvary and His resurrection so we would not give up and our reward would be our Salvation and through our faithfulness and endurance our final reward would be living in the presence of the one who did not give up on us, throughout the ceaseless of eternity in God’s holy kingdom.

MY FRIENDS, WHAT IS SO IMPORTANT GOD WOULD SEND ANGELS TO WARN US?

hqdefault“When God sends to men warnings so important that they are represented as proclaimed by holy angels flying in the midst of heaven, He requires every person endowed with reasoning powers to heed the message. The fearful judgments denounced against the worship of the beast and his image (Revelation 14:9-11), should lead all to a diligent study of the prophecies to learn what the mark of the beast is, and how they are to avoid receiving it. But the masses of the people turn away their ears from hearing the truth and are turned unto fables.” (E. G. White The Great Controversy pp 594)

Fables are defined as “a story not founded on fact” My friends we cannot pick and choose what prophecy we will accept as fact and which one’s we will not. That is why we cannot pick and choose which commandment is appropriate for us to live by and which ones are not. “For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished” Matt. 5:18 (NIV)

So we tell ourselves; It’s wrong to steal and commit adultery, but every now and then we must bear false witness or lie, that is an acceptable sin to bible-with-lightGod. And that seventh day Sabbath surely that law was done away with at the cross, so it shouldn’t even be in the hand written commandments of God. “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.” 2 Tim. 4:3 (NIV)

My friends, when it is all said and done, it’s not God that made a few mistakes in His word, but “our limited knowledge and wisdom of what’s in God’s word. And Instead of praying and asking God for “all truth and understanding,” we merely want to skim over what seems to make sense to us, and everything else we allow others to define the difference between fact and fiction for us. So my friends “we have no [knowledge, because we ask [for no knowledge from God.]”

So as children of God and heirs to His kingdom and joint heirs with His Son Jesus Christ we must “Search the scriptures; for in them we think we have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” John 5:39 (KJV) So once again if “God sends to men [and women] warnings so important that they are represented as proclaimed by holy angels flying in the midst of heaven.” This is what we must be seeking daily, and that is a true knowledge of God’s word and not what Lucious, Cookie, Jamal, and Hakeem are doing on Empire from week to week.

Hourglass Sand Timer Beach SunriseMy friends, we must “be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God……….” 2 Peter 3:1-5 (KJV)

But were it not for grace, where would we all be? Probably “wandering down some pointless road to nowhere” trying to figure out our own Salvation. But our God is “long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” [as we study to show ourselves approved unto God”] 2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)

MY FRIENDS, HAVE WE RELINQUISHED OUR FREE GIFT FROM GOD?

iSIN-e1343908924228-300x223As Christians we attempt to explain away the biblical condemnations of one sin over another. Satan would like for us to think, there are degrees of sin. Isaiah tells us in Isaiah 64:6 (KJV) “We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags….” But the question is not about the sin itself, but how, or when, do we give it all to the Master since “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23 (ESV)

My friends, if we have ever been in the presence of God, we have no problem recognizing what is an abominations to God. “But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die…… So Eve believe Satan and ate of the fruit, and she also gave some to her husband………Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked…… Then they heard God walking in the garden…….So they hid themselves from the presence of the Lord……

Then God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?” And Adam said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I Temptation-265x300was naked, and I hid myself.” Gen 3:1-9 (ESV) My friends we were made in the image meaning physically and spiritual character of God, but endowed with the “free will and the self-conscious personality” to choose right from wrong. And then God gave Adam the sovereign authority over all He had created. And because of sin, Adam gave this authority over to Satan.

Both had been in the presence of God and both had relinquished The free gift God had given them. Satan; “Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.” Ez. 28:14 (KJV) Adam; And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over” [all that I have created] Gen. 1:28 (ESV)

Then God’s plan required Christ to reclaim and redeem back to man all what was given to Satan through Adam. And that my friends is what Calvary and the love grace and mercy of Christ sacrifice was all about and why we will be able to live in the presence of God once again in the earth made new and why “ we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.” 1 John 2:2 (ESV)

421517_391773197506640_100000218896468_1811150_489442730_nMy friends, we have all been in the presence of God and He has given us the free gift of salvation but are we relinquishing all claims because our focus is on the things of this world and not on our salvation and serving God. One day God will say it is finish, and “all the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.

And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world…….. “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels” Matt 25:31-42 (NKJV) And that my friends is how the story ends and “affliction shall not rise up the second time. Nah. 1:9 (KJV)

MY FRIENDS, ITS TIME WE MAKE OUR CALL AND ELECTION SURE!!

s061“Satan sees that his voluntary rebellion has unfitted him for heaven. He has trained his powers to war against God; the purity, peace, and harmony of heaven would be to him supreme torture. His accusations against the mercy and justice of God are now silenced. The reproach which he has endeavored to cast upon Jehovah rests wholly upon himself. And now Satan bows down and confesses the justice of his sentence.” (E. G.White The Story Of Redemption, pp 427)

My friends, one day “every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” Romans 14:12 (KJV) Even Satan. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” 2 Cor. 5:10 (NIV) And as a Christian with this knowledge, we must now look beyond today, and focus on our Salvation and our Saviors soon return.

It’s now personal as we realize we are accountable for our own actions and how we live our life during this short probationary period fromimages10 birth to death God has given us to have that personal relationship with His Son. Remember the thief on the cross did in in a matter of seconds. “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” [and his request was granted because he believed.] “And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly,….you will be with Me in Paradise.” Like 23:42-43 (NKJV)

Our cry daily must be, “ I’ve been captured by a love I can’t explain  and now you have me and I’m forever changed. I’ve abandoned everything I’ve ever known [including my time, talents and money.] Now I surrender, my life is not my own.” (W. McDowell, I Belong to You) My friends how can our life be our own after we understand the price that was paid for our Salvation.

Peter tells us 2 Peter 1:2 (KJV) “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord” In other words my friends these gifts are multiplied through the knowledge Gods plan which also extends to His second coming and then he goes on to say in (v,2,3,4) that nothing has been held back, all the promises in His word are available to us if we believe. And it was done so “that we may have life, and that we may have it more abundantly,” and without yielding to “the corruption of this world that will only lead to spiritual ruin.

bo12Remember my friends, this is what Calvary was all about. And because of this, Peter goes on to tell us what “we must do to be saved” which is a “fruitful growth in faithfulness. Because everyone that says Lord, Lord will not enter God’s kingdom, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven ” (v, 9) Peter starts with the foundation which is “faith then virtue, then knowledge, then self-control, then endurance then godliness, which then leads to brotherly kindness, and then love.

“For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.,” and (v, 9) says if we lack these things we are blinded by the things in this world and have not “forsaken all others” for the glory and honor of God. And 2 Peter 1:10 (NKJV) ends this message by telling us if you are blinded by the things of this world, time is running out so now we must hasten and be fruitful and “make our call and election sure, [And] if we do these things we will never stumble.”

MY FRIENDS, WHAT IS OUR HEART TELLING US TODAY?

Romans-8-6“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; Who can know it. [Or who can change it, except the one who made it?] Jer. 17:9 (NKJV) Deceitful my friends, above all things and desperately wicked. In others words the heart is barren unproductive, infertile, unfruitful, and incapable of producing any positive results. And since we were “shapen in iniquity; and in sin did [our] mother conceive [us]. We of ourselves are incapable of producing any real positive change.

But, It must become personal as we study God’s  word  and understand this controversy between good and evil” and what it means to our Salvation. Of all the gifts given to mankind non in my opinion is greater then the Holy Spirit because without God’s Spirit how do we even understand and appreciate God’s other free gift, which is grace. John 16:7-11 (ESV Paraphrased tells us) Christ told His disciples before He left this world. It was to our advantage that we understand the importance of why He had to go.

But we must also understand He would never “leave us nor forsake us” but He would send us a Helper and a Comforter to point the way to a perfect thand righteous heart. He would also “convict us concerning all that was an abomination to God, because the principalities, and powers, and rulers of the darkness of this world would never allow us to believe all that was done for our salvation on Calvary without the Comforter to guide us in all truth and understanding.

And He will also urge us to accept the righteousness of Christ because “we do not have a High Priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are, yet he did not sin.” Heb. 3:15 (NIV)  And He will convict us to understand that the“ vindication of the divine character of Christ at the cross assured that Satan who “said in His heart I will be like the most High” would be brought to trial.”

And not only Satan but all who followed him and did as we pleased, and in our heart, we became complacent and unconcerned about giving our heart to Christ but said instead “where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.” 2 Peter 3:4 (KJV) My friends, nothing in this world should be more important than our Salvation.

blessed-hope-jesus-return-4_n1-300x198Remember, “he who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of [salvation]. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of [salvation]. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of [salvation]……” Matt. 10:37-39 (NKJV). Today Christ knocks at the door of our heart. And beyond the noise of this world we must here the knock and the pleading of Christ for us to “give up our flight” and “forsake all others” and give it all to Him and not only our heart but our time talents and money.

Remember my friends, He also told His disciples in John 14:1-4 (ESV) “our hearts must not be troubled of all of the “breaking news ” in our world today, but focus on His words that in [His] Father’s house are many mansions that He has gone to prepare for us. And once He goes, He will return and He will take all of His faithful who endured to the end] to that same place” to live in His presence, throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity.
